The property was very comfortable and well decorated. The staff was amazing.

I would give the hotel a 10 rating except for one major problem. It is right across the street from the town, recycling and garbage center. Every morning at 6 AM the garbage trucks were very noisy picking up and dropping off garbage. not once a week mind you, EVERY SINGLE morning! It was extremely disturbing. For this reason, I probably will not stay there again even though the hotel was amazing and the proximity to town is perfect. The garbage is a BIG problem!

Location very close to the square and all of the best restaurants in Healdsburg. Room (304) spacious with vaulted ceiling and quiet. Furnishing and finishes of good quality. Bathroom large and well-equipped.

The adjacent bar and restaurant (Chalkboard) created some unwelcome pedestrian traffic and noise at times in the hotel lobby, which made it feel less "private" than normal for an establishment affiliated with Relais et Chateaux. Neverthless, this is by far the best hotel experience we have had in Healdsburg and was well worth the premium pricing.

NOT MUCH to like during our stay - see below! The location in Healdsburg is very good.

No help at front desk most of the time. No Concierge. Front desk clerk had to make breakfast due to lack of personnel. HVAC was being repaired for the building just outside of our room and was very noisy early in the morning. Restaurant dumping trash in the dumpster on the street at 2:05 a.m. No wakeup call as requested. Does not live up to Relais & Chateau standards. No General Manager on duty to talk to so we could express our disappointment.

The hotel is charming and elegant, and the room was lovely and well appointed with a super comfy bed and great shower. The location is spectacular - a block from town center and an easy walk to great restaurants, with an excellent restaurant just downstairs. Hotel staff were also fabulous- very helpful and attentive. Nice little wine and cheese was also offered in late afternoon.

Would have liked to have a coffee bar available downstairs in the morning. And more bread/crackers were always needed with the wine and cheese.
