Great people, had issue at check in around room which was quickly resolved and in general staff were very courteous, in particular at bar and in breakfast restaurant .
Disputed couple of charges on bill but was advised that couldn’t be investigated at the time and I would need to wait for any resolution. Pool area is nice but very compact for size of hotel

Excellent price for a very well run hotel in the best location.
Free self parking would have been nice.

Gorgeous location. Room was very nice.
Service was poor, food was quite expensive , generally unorganized. Our room wasn’t ready till 1.5 hours after check in and it was a Sunday.

Beautiful balcony room overlooking the pool and oceanfront. Great breakfast; friendly staff; across the street from a few restaurants or a 20 min walk/5 min car journey to more waterfront eateries. I would definitely stay again.
Pool area was a little small but we managed to get a lounger each day.

We did not have the breakfast
Great location but tree blocked our view , the flower bed we’re not taken care of, full of weeds

The hotel is in a great location; across the street from the ocean. The hotel overall, and the rooms in particular, have character, and the staff was among the friendliest and most helpful I have experienced.
There is not much to complain about. The only thing I would tell a wary traveler is that parking on the hotel premises is valet only ($40 a night). You don't have to use valet parking. However, parking along the street (which is allowed) is hard to come by. You may have to park down an adjacent street; but even then you are in short walking distance to the hotel.

Location to the beach. Pool and hot tub were great. Staff was friendly and helpful
Valet parking and cost was a surprise. No explained if self park was available. Going across street for ice not ideal.

Location location location! Directly across the street from East Beach. Free beach cruisers to borrow and decent pool area.
Check in time was 4pm and after a long drive and arriving at 5, our room still wasn’t ready. The staff was apologetic and did give us a credit. However, we paid for a king room with balcony. We were placed in a queen room with no balcony. Valet is mandatory and $40 per night and we left with a large scratch on our car after it was in the hotel garage.

Worst hotel in my Life of travel with 35 years of travel experience. AC did not work, dog poop in corridor, no hot water in sync and very rude reception staff. Valet staff excellent and helpful. I need my money back. Will be reaching out to you. $654 could have gotten me at least a good sleep at night, which I what I paid for.
AC didn’t work and make horrible sound. Complained at front desk at 10:35pm, they told me they would send engineering “right away” and I personally went down to lobby at 11:20 when they said engineering had clocked off. They eventually brought me a table fan at 12:15AM. There was dog poop in the corridor next to my room. Water in sink was cold after leaving it on for 20 minutes, shower had no pressure and barely warm water, forget hot. Worst “Hyatt” I ever stayed at and will reach out to the corporate. I need my money back.

the location and it was quiet
No view from my room window, except a white wall 4 feet from the glass. Sad . There were many available rooms, as it was mid week and very few people there in June gloom
and rain.

The staff was absolutely wonderful, from valet to check in to restaurant to housekeeping! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to Omar at the bar for making my friend's birthday really special with a complimentary dessert. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed being so close to the beach. The pool is small, but has a surprising 8-feet-deep end, and the hot tub was lovely on cool evenings. It's a long stroll (about 30 minutes) to downtown Santa Barbara and the pier, so there was very little outside noise at night, meaning a great nights' sleep throughout the trip.
Two tips from a frequent hotel guest: install towel racks for hand towels near the sink, and please include washcloths with towel service. The only other minor inconvenience was the two large sitting chairs in our room - they took up a lot of space and weren't necessary.

Location, large room. Good tea and coffee.
The hotel could be a real gem. Unfortunately, its appearance is not all that great in several ways. It needs some updating, as in really bad carpets. My "ocean view" room could hardly be considered view because trees in front of the window almost completely hid the view.

Not anything in particular....
$1,400 for two nights at an over priced.motel is a waste of money.

The location is beautiful , hotel has an excellent location across from the beach, the front of the hotel is a better location, I don't advice to go to the side, because there are no guesses there and they put people with kids, large families etc. The next hotel Convivo , is much nicer, if I go again I will book there.
The customer service in this hotel is horrible, either they only cater to certain prototype of people or they have zero training on how manage customers services.

the location was good
the property felt outdated and very cold. there wasn’t enough furniture, the staff weren’t very welcoming, halls were dark and dingey, shower was clogged and overall wasn’t impressed.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. They even upgraded our balcony room to an Ocean View balcony. They had no idea but it was our 10th wedding anniversary and that completely made our trip! The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was relaxing with a rainfall shower head and cozy robes! We were also able to walk to the beach, zoo and dining! It was lovely.
The hotel is older (beautiful still), so poor insulation I'd say. In the room above us, we could hear a little kid running around. Not quite a deal breaker though.

would have liked amenities in the bathroom: cotton balls, etc.

‘Meh’… it was ok. kinda cool fit out but didn’t quite live up to the photos. It had a bit of a ‘hostel’ feel to it. some carpets were dirty in the hallway etc. the room service finished st 8:30pm which seems strange and a bit futile. Food at the restaurant was good but unfortuneatly it is closed most of the week. When we arrived it was a particularly cold day and it would have been nice if the heating had been turned on for us.
Nice design in parts

Well located accross the road from the beach, 5 mins from town. Nice decor for the spanish colonial design which goes with the regional vibe.
Offerings and services were quite limited. Layoit of building is annoying with rooms being on 1/2 floors from the lobby and the resturant being isolated at the very end of the complex.
Some services normally free at other locations were an upcharge.
