The view

The bathroom smelled so strongly of urine and the toilet was actually wobbling. No seal =urine smell. I also didn’t like being told that animal control would be called on my dog if left in their room. We always bring a kennel and have NEVER been told this by a hotel. How do people go out to eat or enjoy anything if there is no safe landing place for their animal? Because of this we are all of our meals in our room. During dinner in our room one night we actually received a call from a random cell phone number asking us why we left our dog in the room and that police would be called. They were very rude and my husband had to walk out of the room to prove that we in fact were there with our dog.

Sink did not have stopper. Key drop is not secure. Breakfast is not provided as stated.

Rooms were nice, clean and beds were comfortable.

The outside needs a little TLC because when we first got there we were thinking oh no it looks dirty but the rooms say otherwise. So never judge a book by its cover!

The view

Got the deluxe room with a fireplace. The fireplace didn't work. Booked a room with a king size bed, got a queen size instead.

It's close to all the shops and restaurants in town. TV in room is very nice size.

The room was visibly dirty; hair and used soap still in the bathroom, floor dirty and bedding did not appear to be fresh. Room states it is ocean view, while you can see part of it our view was about 80% obscured by shrubbery. The fireplace did not work and while the hotel did compensate $15 total for 3 nights of non working fireplace, I don't feel that was adequate, as I certainly paid more than $5 extra each night for a fireplace. I informed the manager of all issues prior to check out, hope things i.prove for other guests as it is very unlikely that we will be returning.

all photos on line show that all the rooms have a view of the ocean. my room which is the only room had a view of the parking lot. not cool!

The facility is functional and adequate but, outside the room, which was nice, lacks any character or aesthetic appeal.

Hallways are dank and smelled of mold.

We got moved to a room with a smaller bed and didn't know until we got there. We made it work was just hard. The only lighting we had in our room was the side lights at the bed and the bathroom..

Peaceful view and location

Great parking. Super close to Depoe Bay and the spout. Very friendly staff. Other then the floor being covered in sand it was clean. We had a fire place in our room!

Ask for the 3rd floor! I booked an “ ocean view” room.. ended up on the third floor with the ocean being behind a bunch of trees and cars. The floor of our room was COVERED in sand. Had to start wearing shoes in our room.

The view is stupendous!

The lack of seating/furniture in the room. There was a desk with a desk chair and the king bed. A small, short table was along one wall without anything else. 2 plastic (molded) deck chairs on the balcony, wet. We were told there are no more chairs. We couldn’t play cards or eat at this table. They asked us not to use room towels to dry deck/patio chairs … 🤷🏻‍♀️ There is no jacuzzi/sauna or pool (my SO thought he’d read that there was a hot tub) and the pictures online are not current! We had our Pomeranian (Sandy) with us so I searched for a room with carpeting (Sandy is afraid of most flooring due to slipping around on them). These rooms are no longer carpeted. I understand that it’s more healthy and clean, now, but I would’ve brought runners to lay out for Sandy, had I known.

Prefect setting for wave watching and a great location for shops. So much in walking distance! Also fine place for the king tides. Everyone at the hotel was also soo helpful and kind.

All was good. If I had to be picky I would just say the TV needed wiped down, but then that's all I could even think of.
