We had an appointment in the Middlebury area and tried to get a reservation at a B&B, but it was full, so the owner recommended Swift House and we LOVED IT!! Staff wonderful, breakfast (on a screened-in porch) and dinner in the inn delicious, corner room w more windows perfect, walk-in shower great, grounds lovely. The common rooms were welcoming with very interesting "coffee table" books. Sommelier and our waiter, Jay, were delightfully engaging, knowledgeable, and really made the experience memorable in a good way :)All in all I was VERY happy and will stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

There was noting I didn't like :) It was 115% excellent.

central air conditioning, breakfast was wonderful and the staff were friendly.

no refrigerator in the room. Had to go to the bar to get ice and no ice dispenser available after hours. No one at the entry to the hotel at night.

Food was exceeded throughout our stay and the grounds were lovely.

The bed was a little uncomfortable because my side had a bit of a dip in the mattress that keep rolling me inward toward the center.

The house itself has some interesting history. The front desk distributes a two page history detailing the former owners and evolution of the property. The common area are nicely decorated and well pointed with art, furniture, and books. The bedrooms have typical New England dormers which intersect with doors creating some customer door trim and doors

The bathrooms are very clean and pleasant but old time fixtures

The staff was very nice, and when you get there you can see they clean very well.

It changed a lot in a year. The room was cooled for us for when we got there and it was very hot that day. The value of what you could get to eat was different. They used to have muffins this time they had these sad cookies. The second day for house cleaning my room was never made up. The room was very small for the price. And the shower was either burning hot or cold They wouldn’t let me use my returning guest or my aaa discount because I used booking.

Soft sheets, comfy beds, adorable furnishings, friendly staff, delicious staff, and the chocolate chip cookies!

Room was too warm and TV needs better cable

The breakfast was very good and fresh.

This Inn is a gem. Our room was clean, comfortable and the staff went over and above to make us feel welcome. Jessica's restaurant in the Inn offers spectacular food and bar menu the breakfast was also delicious.
