The location. The bed was comfortable.
Bathroom had mold in the shower, blood dried on the floor under the sink, toothpaste smeared on the door. The floor was duct taped together, the carpet was damp/wet all over, the walls were dirty and had peeling paint, most of the lights didn't work, the air conditioner stopped working part-way through our stay and we were too intimated by the employee who threatened us with extra charges if we did anything bad to call the desk and ask someone to fix it. There was only one tiny trash can - in the bathroom. No trash in the room itself. The pool wasn't open and didn't look as if it had been all year, there is a massive sink hole in the back yard, no yard games as advertised, no patio furniture on your private balcony as advertised. The continental breakfast only offers stale cereal, bagels, toast, one little waffle maker and perhaps yogurt? No protein source. Awful.

Pool was closed. Floor in bed area was cracked and lifting

Convenient. Better rates than most if not all of the chain motels in the area. Comfortable, spacious rooms.
No elevators. Air conditioning was not working at the time, although it was cool enough to sleep at night. Pool not open in August, although I wouldn’t have used it anyway.

The location is perfect! A short wake up the road takes you to an ideal small town. There’s food and fun nearby.
DISREPAIR
the pool has a foundation crack, the floors in rooms were warped, the screen door was “repaired” with painters tape, the AC was supplemented with a dust-covered fan, the paint outside matched the quality.
Breakfast was lacking: the “orange juice” button only gave water so drinking options were hot drinks, milk, or water (my boys were unhappy to not have juice). No warm beyond toast or bagels.
Not sure what they consider a “boutique experience” but I expected more.

Black mold. Clearly a limited attempt to clean it, but the stench, and evidence in corners and doors. There was a compressor that cycled every 90 seconds for 4 seconds, the balcony had a nice view, but rickety and rotted, this, after struggling to open the rotted door, the pillows were wonderful, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Come for the RSV, stay for the pillows.
Black mold, rotted balcony, black mold, hard bed, black mold, bad WiFi, black mold.

No breakfast served. Good location. Quiet
Needs updating.

It was very clean, nice people at the front desk.
Hot water was an issue in my room, had to call the front desk twice, but somehow they took care of it right away.

There is an obvious intent to upgrade the facilities. The rooms and Lobby were well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful property behind the hotel.
You could hear the people above walking and talking. It was still OK though.

Breakfast was limited due to Covid challenges, but was still very good

Cheapest in the area and availability
Sliding door to balcony was broken so it wouldn't lock... he fixed it. Then TV remote control didn't work and was disgustingly dirty. And the phone was very old and dirty feeling... like grimy. There was no soap in the bathroom.. only conditioner... no shampoo (makes me think it was used and not cleaned.) Also there was trash in the trash can in the bathroom. You can hear people walking on the floor above you. Horrible. For $150 you would think you could get better.

Location of this motel was good...on the Vermont and New Hampshire state lines. Room was big with a nice balcony, but no furniture to sit outside.
The curb appeal left a lot to be desired. Front desk guy could not have cared less. Wifi password was wrong and I never could get internet. No balcony furniture.

Sketchy… there were ppl chain smoking right around the corner from our room
It seemed like everyone lived there. For over $200 a night for a room.. i expected a little more .. even going to the car felt sketchy

Spacious, renovated, quiet room w/ a balcony. Large counter space next to sinks, which were two (one in the bathroom, one outside it). Plenty of closet space and parking. Easy access to both the highway and central St. J. Basic but adequate breakfast.
Staff could certainly have been friendlier, esp the cleaning staff. Bathrooms were in need of renovation, esp the lighting. We requested a top floor w/ a nice view and got a middle floor w/ a dumpster view; we were told that all better rooms were sold out though we had made our reservation originally 8 mos prior (apparently what matters is what time one arrives). The pool was closed though, w/ kids, that is always a key reason why we pick a given hotel, and it was still fairly warm in early Sept.

Even though it said breakfast the only thing that was available was fruits and cereal

Because of Covid the breakfast was just coffee and donut. Coffee was good and hot and my husband brought it back to room. The air conditioner was not working and the tv remote was missing so after the girl at the desk got the air conditioner to work we had to go down to her again about the remote. She was very nice and very helpful so instead of finding a remote we changed our room.
We have stayed at the Fairbanks before and we were satisfied..that is why we returned this year so we were disappointed. There was a family above us with little children and we love children but they were running around and we could hear them at 2 in the morning. I wanted to sit out on the deck but there was a family out under the tree with loud music on so we stayed in our room. Needless to say our stay this year was not enjoyable.

Due to pandemic, the kitchen area was closed. Nearby restaurants open at 8:00 on Saturday. Location is very convenient to the highway and to town.
Want the pandemic to be over.

This is a welfare motel.. Most of the rooms are occupied , but not by travelers. will not stay there again. a little creepy.

No vending, pillows were waytoo soft, bed was way too hard. I woke up with a sore back and bad neck pain!! No HD tv or CBS channel 😳 Room should have been $80, I paid $200... not a good value, sorry St. J!!
