All of the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, including, reception, bar/food and other service staff. The gardens were lovely.
The hotel was a bit tired looking - old-fashioned. Clean but not so appealing.
The location was not good for anyone without a car. It was too remote for us, although I realise not many people will arrive by bus, as we did. We thought it was close to Los Gatos downtown but it was nowhere near enough to walk.
We paid more for this hotel than for a very much more beautiful room in Santa Cruz.... And we even paid less than this in San Francisco!

Nice place. Easy off the highway
They are still doing the CoVid breakfast. It’s was t bad but you have to bring your food back to your room to microwave.

The location was great. Near town and freeway. Friendly staff. The rooms are dated and but comfortable.
The rooms were cold and the blankets not great so we needed to get extra ones for our stay.

After a first night's difficulty sleeping because of a neighboring room TV on constantly, the management moved us to a quieter "studio" room which was much larger with kitchenette and sitting area.
No complaints.

Convenient location
Bathroom was substandard; dirty looking bathtub and when we turned on the shower, the water was brown. Needless to say we did not bother taking a shower there. Luckily, we only stayed one night.
It said there is breakfast available from 7am; as in many locations now the pre-pandemic hot buffet has been suspended - hotels will be using this excuse for years to come, I guess - but when we arrived in the lobby as we were checking out early at around 7.40am, only coffee and some juice was available. Needless to say we did not bother.

The Los Gatos Lodge is not in a neighborhood, but off a busy street. Walkable neighborhoods are a short drive away. The property itself is quiet, with walkways, lawns, a pool, bacci area and places to sit. Creates a pleasant atmosphere.

Second time staying here. It is quite basic but very handy to get around Los Gatos. The grounds are lovely and the place is a nice and quiet place to stay for an overnight trip. Would stay here again.
They shouldn't really advertise that breakfast is included on their booking.com profile, as essentially it is just a 'grab and go' breakfast that isn't great at all. They would be best off just not mentioning it as saying breakfast included assumes more. When we last stayed here pre covid they had a restaurant open for breakfast.

The guy with the glasses is THE RUDEST PERSON IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED at a hotel. This is the second time he’s given me trouble!!!

The property was fair, clean.
There was an incident in the parking lot with someone’s tire was stolen of his or her truck, so that was interesting. It was a quiet place for sure.
The hallway had a smell when we arrived. Please refer to the photos below. The rooms were outdated which I didn’t accept.

The whole set up, the campus like environment, the spacy room, the comfortable beds and everything makes it a great choice for the value.
