I like the close proximity the Strawberry Inn was to the Leland Snow Park which was our reason for coming here, the distance was near so makes it very comforting and convenient especially when traveling with 2 young kids. The room was very spacious for the 4 of us, plenty of space to walk around the 2 queen size beds. The garden view looks out to the garden/stream area which was very pleasant during our stay because we can see the calming white snow. I also like having the Restaurant right on site and really appreciate the restaurant/bar being open/serving meal/food on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! This was especially important to us since many other places would have been closed, so we were able to have warm meals for our traveling companions. The pool table and foosball table inside the restaurant was such a huge bonus, our kids loved it and looked forward to playing there before we left for the snowpark and after we came back for dinner. The ladies managing the restaurant/bar were extremely kind and polite. I also like the nice open area in the back of the Inn and the stream behind it, we arrived earlier than check-in time but the kids were able to enjoy some snow play in the back while we waited for check-in, this really help to keep them occupied and entertained after a 4 hours drive.

There was nothing that was unacceptable, overall everything was as best as can be expected when staying away from home. The stay at Strawberry Inn was very pleasant.

Loved the size of our room! The room was very clean and the bathroom has a tub and shower combo.The bar was fun! We had good drinks, and a great salad!! The size of the restaurant was even bigger and better than the one at the Pinecrest resort. Which was one mile away!! I would highly recommend staying here! We had a really nice time. And, they have a deck outside that looks out to the river. There is also a store right across the street from the restaurant. Very convenient!!😊

For starters from the moment we walked into our room we were frustrated with our "garden views" of both the upper and lower decks and stairs for outdoor dining with no privacy at all. We ended up keeping out curtains closed the entire time. I would not call that a "garden view." Second, the toilet didn't flush so that was very inconvenient for a family of 4. It was very uncomfortable trying to wait for more than 30 minutes to let the tank refill to flush again and often times the pressure was so weak that it didn't flush and we had to wait until the morning to try again. My wife mentioned it to the staff so I hope they fix that quickly. Third, the entire "hotel quarters" had outdated carpet, bedding and hand painted murals of what would be described as outdoor scenes that weren't very aesthetically pleasing. I understand the concept but please hire a more professional painter. There were no sheets or blankets on either of the very uncomfortable queen beds, only the comforters (which we typically strip off the bed at other hotels) and 2 flat pillows in decorative shams. The beds were firm with very little give making it a rough couple nights sleep. Having the restaurant upstairs would have been a nice convenience for a complimentary breakfast for hotel guests, but no luck there. For the cost of $240/night I would expect a much better experience. ***side note*** No early check in even if you call a couple times hoping to catch a more friendly staff member.
