Location is good for Chama train

Noisy rundown and overpriced

Parking lot, staff, location, sign

No fridge or microwave

Gave me a late checkout without any fuss. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Rail station but don't worry about the location - chama is so small, there's no real need to be in the center of town anyway.

Woke up in the middle of the night to a wacky bug in my bed that left some bizarre rash on my back. Maybe this is to be expected in a tent, but in my bed on the second floor? ew. Kinda creepy to wake up to.

Everything was good, Two days before of the reservation day I sent and email requesting some information and I got a response the same day, when me and my wife arrived to the hotel, we liked the outside view of the hotel, the staff was very professional and friendly, the registration paper was ready and it took just a couple of minutes to do it, the room was very clean and comfortable, we were very happy to stay in Branding Iron Motel.

Good motel, basic and clean. Probably one of the best in Chama.

We had just come back from the Chaoma Train ride and were hungary and needed some food for 4 adults and two children. Andrew the receptionist that checked us in was very helpful in giving us ideas of where to go for a sit down meal of where and how to order take out. We did not pick up utensils but Andrew happily provided those for us. He also answered several other questions we had during our stay and certainly exceeded our expectations for a one person show. Highly recommend this place. Richard Andrews
