La limpieza
No fue gentil la recepcionista 👎👎llegamos al hotel despues de manejar 3 horas y no podíamos usar el baño mientras esperábamos el cuarto , por que el baño del loby no era publico ( somos el cliente ) como que no podemos usar el baño del loby ???👎👎y los negocios de alrededores muy sucio y ninguno tenía baño , la zona no se ve nada bien 👎no volvería al este hotel

Modern-ish, wolf in sheep's clothing
I did not like the false advertising! There was no private entrance for the Executive Suite, no restaurant on site, no daily breakfast,(however they charge the resort fee!) no gym, and no daily housekeeping. I saw the housekeepers and apprehended them a couple of times, but they don't seem to maintain rooms unless asked. There are no housekeeping signs for hotel room doors. Perhaps I was to slip them cash? The hotel nor Booking.com follow up with any problems in regards to false advertising, am now disputing the charges with credit card company
The front desk knew we would be using the pullout couch (old uncomfortable), that we were a group of three, and did not provide addt'l towels or bedding. I asked and was delivered the bedding to make the pull-out couch bed myself.
You have to ask for fresh towels and coffee for the next morning as it does not get refreshed since housekeeping does not "housekeep". Not all outlets in our room worked. Housekeeping is around but doesn't clean rooms even when you ask them.
In an area that is close to transit however sketchy, gun shots heard, homelessness, rowdiness on the street however there is a police presence.

The room was great. Clean, sophisticated. I felt comfortable
The elevator did not work for most of my stay. When I arrived, the elevator was not moving and the staff didn’t seem to be bothered. The girl at the front desk had to call and tell one of the male staff to help me with mg belongings. I had some long days and to return to the hotel and have to climb steps.

Per 8 notti non sono mai state fatte le pulizie, mai un cambio asciugamani. All'arrivo non era presente nessuno in reception e abbiamo dovuto attendere parecchio per il check in, chiedendoci una cauzione spropositata per i servizi offerti. Possiamo parlare di 2 stelle, non di 3 considerando il rapporto qualità prezzo.
Inoltre, abbiamo lasciato la struttura il 13 ottobre ed oggi 30 ottobre non risulta ancora accreditata la cauzione...

The elevator was broken; my husband is 70 years and had to walk up four floors. The room looked like a war zone; the chain safety lock was broken. There was only one door leading to bathroom; the door was missing. You couldn’t close the bathroom door, so there was no privacy. There was a huge crack in the shower. We were given one towel each for a five night stay; we had to beg for two more. The linen was dirty and pillows had stains on them, so we covered the pillows with our clothes. There was absolutely NO room service. We had to take our trash out to the trash can ourselves. When we tried to ask questions no one knew anything, their favorite words were “I’ve only been here a week”. We heard that several times.

we got a big room, The beds were very comfy, big TV, nice shower, close to Metro Station, nice view from the Rooftop, in the room we had coffee machine, microwave and fridge, were super convenient. In general the room was pretty and cozy. Quiet at night and nice blackout curtains, we slept well.
Hotel is a bit worn out, although is nice, doesn’t look like the photos, seems like was very nice before but needs maintenance, was clean but doors were missing, some lights didn’t work, and so on, the area is a bit sketchy in the night but we didn’t feel unsafe, in general we enjoyed the stay. TV didn’t work for couple of days but they fixed it, the heater was super high and we had a hard time for 2 nights, was too hot but again the staff was nice finding the solution. Our expectations were too high for the photos, although, was good enough.

We stayed at this property about four years ago for a few days and it was quite pleasant. Although not a prime location it was near family we were visiting and we enjoyed the comfortable, clean, attractively designed environment.
The property obviously has not been well maintained. Furnishings and fixtures in our room were worn and actually rather shabby. Our room was extremely stuffy and smelled strongly of deodorizer attempting to cover an unpleasant smell. Even the lobby presents this way so at least management is not attempting to hide anything from guests. Upholstered chairs there for example are worn and stained. I am actually not one to customarily write reviews but was so surprised at the decline of this property, I feel it is warranted to bring this to light.

The charged $19.95 for a "recreation fee" which included use of the gym and a breakfast". However there was no breakfast available. Also advertised was bottled water in the room and there was none.

Nice views from the 4th floor. Urban decor. Ability to store bags for hours after we checked out. Location on Atlantic Ave has no charm, but within a block is vibrant Bed-Stuy neighborhood.
Advertised as $179, but actually $232 with taxes and "resort fee". $100 "damage fee" charged and to be refunded within a few days? Room security lacking: no dead bolt lock, and the security latch for us to use from the inside was broken. Also broken shower soap fixture.

Absolutely nothing
The pictures on your hotel website do not come close to reflecting the actual condition the room was in when I arrived. I was shocked to walk into lamps with cobwebs in them, lights that did not work, chunks of grout missing from the walls, scotch tape on the bedroom ceiling, a couch that was covered in black stains and god knows what else, bedsheets that contained blood on them, towels that had lipstick stains on them, scuff marks on almost every single wall, furniture that was chipped and substantially damaged, a poorly constructed shower, a shower door that did not even close, dust on every single piece of furniture, stained carpets, and a closet with scuff marks and and miscellaneous items thrown all over the place. I am probably missing a few more things but just in case, I have attached photos demonstrating the real state of condition my room was in-- not the falsified depictions shown on your website.
When I pay a substantial amount of money for a stay consisting of only two nights, the most I expect is what is depicted on your website. The least I expect is for the room (and everything in it) to be clean and sanitary. I received neither of these things. Not only will I not be recommending anyone to stay at your hotel, but I will also be considering reaching out to the state's department of health to file a complaint. No one, and I mean no one, should have to pay the kind of money I paid and sleep in the conditions I slept in at your hotel. In fact, I did not even sleep on the bed. The minute I saw blood on the sheets, I decided to sleep on the chair. My stay ultimately left me feeling disgusted, deceived, and infuriated.

Location was alright. Within 5 min walk to two different train/subway stops. There was also a nice grocery store/bodega at the nearest corner with a huge selection & super friendly staff. There were an adequate number of towels supplied in the room. Shower was nice.
Arrived at about 11:55PM. Both the security guard and the front desk attendant were sound asleep. Had to wake them for assistance. Here's the fun part...the hotel cancelled my reservation before I even arrived. No email, no phone call to confirm payment details. Nothing. I had to call booking.com customer service while I was at the front desk so they would in turn call the hotel to reinstate my reservation. The information regarding my arrival was on the reservation. I even called earlier that same day to let them know my flight was coming in later. Magically, in the 90 minutes from when they cancelled my reservation to when I arrived for check-in, they had sold and occupied my room. So all they had available was a basement room, with no windows. It had the same layout and amenities, but let's just say the basement rooms are...neglected. Dust on everything that isn't regularly used. Shoddy tilework in the bathroom. Dirty floor. The platform that the bed was on was not secured to the floor, so it moved around the floor freely with regular use. Pillows on the bed were flat as paper. I was there for 4 nights, and they did not replace towels, take trash or clean the room in any way during my stay. Very large gap at the bottom of the door, wherein sound echoed all through the night. Ultimately very unpleasant experience. Avoid.
