Location to family.

The lock on side door was known to staff to be broken. It was kept open with a rock at times. Guests would need to walk through the lobby to get to their rooms. The food in the warmers was cold.

Not much.

Awful experience that started from the moment I checked in. They had my reservation on file but no available rooms showing. So I waited half an hour with a fussy baby after 11pm for them to sort it out and find me a room. The toilet didn’t flush properly so I had to ask the front desk for a plunger. The one they brought me was wet, gross, and dripping all over the floor. I had to plunge the toilet EVERY time I needed to flush. The bedding was a joke: just a sheet and a thin blanket. On the last night of my stay there was a large party in two or three of the rooms next to and across from mine that was loud, constantly knocking on each other’s doors, slamming the doors, and YELLING their greetings every time the doors opened. This was going on well after midnight. I couldn’t sleep because of it and was worried my baby would wake up crying and bother the other (quieter) guests. I called down to the front desk and nothing changed asking them to ask those guests to quiet down but nothing changed until around 3am. I wasn’t expecting a five-star stay at the Plaza Hotel, but a working toilet, blanket thicker than a towel, some quiet, and a check-in process that didn’t give me anxiety over where my baby and I would sleep that night would’ve been nice. And the most insulting part of all this is when I told the front-desk person about my experience while I was checking out, she said she would look into giving me a credit back on my charge. You know how much that was? $21. A terrible, stress-filled experience and all they would offer me was $21. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
