Pretty ridiculous. Almost roomless after 3 hour drive. Booked online after 6pm…reservation was accepted. Showed up at the property at 7:10pm, called the inn keeper 6 times-voicemail each time. Rang the doorbell twice-no answer. Emailed Jeff-no response. Went to dinner, called 3 more times…again no answer. Finally reached him after dinner and was told the inn doesn’t accept reservations after 6pm and he was 20 minutes away. Regardless of the fact that I had a confirmed reservation. Really?? Pretty unprofessional and very poor business. Why would I have a confirmation, yet it not be honored?! Fortunately, got a reservation down Butler Street at 9pm that was honored. There should be a better reservation system in place. If you don’t accept check ins after 6pm, do not accept and forward a reservation confirmation. Would not recommend.

Beautiful landscaped gardens and patio. Patio is a great place for breakfast with excellent staff, smiles and good food. Our room was comfortable with three windows filled with bright sunshine. It was nice that Jeff took time to meet the guests and talk a bit. Location is perfect at the beginning of the shopping strip and a block from the riverfront and park. The hotel is immaculately clean!

The location was perfect. The staff was very kind and hospitable. I liked all the amenities of the room (bed comfort, armoire, modern bathroom/big shower), and the choices for breakfast. We will definitely return.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like, although some of the legacy guests were mentioning that they thought the evening apps were not as plentiful or special as their previous visits. Since this was our first visit we did not know any differently. Perhaps an additional bottle or two of wine in the fridge could have been available, as the group that night drained all the bottles.....I think all I got was a half a glass of the red, but didn't think too much about it since we were going to Coast 236 for dinner, and I knew I'd be ordering bottle service then.

The breakfast menu offered great variety and food was excellent. The afternoon social was enjoyable. The baked items were delicious (e.g., carrot cake, cherry tart, and apple pie). I love the comfort of the home in every space!

We were in a small king room that was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. However, we would liked to have had a small chair.

Breakfast and location are both exceptional.

Our room was very tiny but we did get the last room available for that weekend.
