The cleanliness the fresh smell how clean the room was

Wasn't enough towels in the bathroom only two bath towels

My wife and I were driving back from Dallas to North Carolina and needed a place to stay at the last minute, so we chose this La Quinta since it was next to the highway and a good price. The check-in was super easy and the staff was very nice. The room was clean and a good size with two queen beds. The bathroom was also large with plenty of towels and great water pressure.

Two items in the room that needed replacing. A Lampshade was cracked and the chair was a little bit too well worn. Breakfast was OK but what you would expect from a discount hotel. Self serve, waffles, which were very good, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, and fruit.

We got to this property late at night just wanting to take a shower and go to bed but the drain was completely plugged in the bathroom. The room/building looked and felt neglected, and we saw a couple of cockroaches going into rooms from the hallway in the morning, so decided to skip breakfast at the hotel. The front desk staff was pretty apathetic and unresponsive when we mentioned our concerns during check-out. We thought we had gotten a good deal for a room just to spend a night during our road trip, but this was definitely a bad choice. We would not stay here again.

Breakfast and cleanliness of the property. Easily accessible to University of Alabama.

Tried to reserve a room for October 12-16 but the cost was outrageous. Friday and Saturday room was over $600 for each night. Seems like price gouging for the same room. Thursday and Sunday prices was just over $100.

Not too sound proof. Being next to the highway there was a lot of noise all night. Also, wanted to use the pool but it was too murky. Told the front desk and she said they would close it.

Noise - on the interstate and no sound deadening. Heard every person on either side whether they were talking, walking or using the bathroom. Bathroom shower had mold at the grout lines. We will never be back.
