The Hampton Inn in New Paltz, NY was clean, comfortable and welcoming in every way. The staff is young, friendly and attentive. My guest and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there the next time we’re in the area.

The property was clean and quiet. There was a pool and a gym that was open until late (11 pm) the staff was out going and friendly. There was coffee available all the time, and the breakfast options were expansive!

The breakfast was fine. The room was clean and the bed were comfortable.

I didn't like that the staff behavior when addressing a maintenance problem, they knocked our door heavily disturbing my husband's and baby's nap while I was taking a relaxing bath. Staff were very anxious about a leakage thinking that it was coming from our bathroom when our bathroom floor was dry. However the manner they approached it was appalling and not hospitable at all. I had to get out of the bath and out of the room covering myself in a towel to address the receptionist and the handyman so they can stop banging on our door and explain that our bathroom floor is dry. They have to train their staff with hospitality manners even though there is a problem. Please note that windows cant be opened and the only way out in case of an emergency is your room door.

Great staff, best hotel breakfast we've had in a long time, decent size room, hotel doesn't smell like chlorine.

They allow dogs which is ok but they should put them in certain rooms that are next to other quest. We listen to a dog barking all night next to us.

breakfast was excellent! loved the yoghurt and fresh fruit and scrambled eggs. beds were comfortable, staff were so helpful and friendly. I asked for a cot, and one was waiting in the room when we arrived.

Friendly helpful receptionist and staff. Very comfortable bed, comforter, pillow. Good shower. My partner forgot his tooth brush and tooth paste. Receptionist supplied replacements. Also my partner went swimming and enjoyed the pool. Liked that breakfast was included. I was offered an upgrade because I am an honors member. But unfortunately didn't not see it because I did not check my email till after we checked in.

The fact that I didn't see the email about the upgrade and missed it. When I inquired about it when I made the reservation, I received an email telling me an upgrade would not be possible because all the rooms had just 2 queen beds. So I didn't bother to check whether I got an upgrade. Then when the offer was made it said there was a room with a king bed. So I was confused about the first email that was sent to me. If the first email had said I should have kept checking for an upgrade I would have done so. However I was very happy with my room. No complaints.

Great location, nice staff, and complimentary breakfast!

Our room and shower water smelled awful. I was unsure of the cause of the hockey bag aroma until I realized the hotel is pet friendly. Smelled like wet dog, which made perfect sense seeing as pups like to hike and swim as much as we do!

There were condom wrappers on the floor next to the bed ,, pretty gross.. and we had small children and expected a tub for bath..but only was a shower stall and the floor was extremely slippery.. no drawers for clothes had to live out of a suitcase.. and this was not a cheap stay.. kind of disappointed
