Bummed. We had a great vacation in spite of our location/condo…there was a broken door handle. Lamps did not have lightbulbs or they were burnt out…there were 4 lights in the ceiling that would not turn on. The floor clearly had not been swept/ cleaned prior to our arrival… which was delayed an hr d/t “unforeseen circumstances “ which I suspect was an issue with cleaning? They did offer a small refund to make up for this but overall the setting just wasn’t clean or prepared for us. Disappointing. Also, the area apparently has a homeless camp nearby??? What a bummer! Not the owner’s fault but yet another thing… do better Oregon.

Our family of four - parents with a 19-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter - recently enjoyed an unforgettable overnight stay at the Lighthouse View condo in Shoreline Ridge, Newport. The ground-floor location offered unparalleled access to breathtaking ocean views.
The condo's layout was perfect for our needs. The spacious living room with its large bay windows became our favorite spot, allowing us to watch a stunning sunset over the Pacific. Our teens appreciated the flat-screen TV for some downtime.
The well-equipped kitchen made preparing a family dinner easy and enjoyable. We loved gathering around the cozy dining table, sharing our meal while gazing at the ocean.
The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. As parents, we especially enjoyed the primary bedroom's luxury bathroom with its oversized tub.
Although our stay was brief, we managed to explore the nearby beach and were impressed by the convenience of local amenities. The proximity to attractions like the Newport Aquarium and Yaquina Bay Bridge made us wish we had more time to explore.
Overall, this oceanfront condo provided the perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and natural beauty for our short family getaway. We left with a strong desire to return for a longer stay to fully experience all that this lovely condo and the charming Newport area have to offer.

This place is beautiful and the view is amazing! We would for sure visit again, but I’m giving 4 stars because we didn’t receive instructions for how to actually get in until about an hour after the check-in time and the host didn’t apologize about it or offer anything for it.

We have stayed here a couple of times now. The view and proximity to everything is amazing. Quiet and relaxing. Floors were not clean. We are coffee drinkers and coffee was provided but no filters. All said…it is a great place to unwind.

This was a great place to stay. Very easy to find and it has a wonderful view. The pictures of the property are an exact representation of the place. Perfect for an elderly person using a walker too.

Stunning Spectacular View
The location of the property was conveniently located and very accessible. It is a remarkable facility, richly furnished with a contemporary flair and provided with implacable sleeping comfort. But the highlight of the stay was the absolutely stunning spectacular view of the ocean and beach.
And what a treat to have a view of the iconic lighthouse. Our family took full advantage of the ground floor acc as to the patio and it’s breathtaking view. We were able to access a trail down to the beach just a few yards from the back patio. It is a bit of a rough trek to get there but worth the effort.we could have easily driven 5 minutes to easier access but this was more fun. We were also grateful for the 24 hr customer service. We hope to return to this very spot in the future. Thank you for the opportunity to make precious family memories

Just Like the Picture
This is a lovely apartment in a small condo complex that is located on a bluff above the beach. The view out the windows from the living room and the master bedroom is stunning. The apartment was in very good condition and included some nice luxury touches. The owner was very accessible for questions. The only problem we had was that the master suite was quite deluxe and the second bedroom was small and dark so we switched places half-way through our stay. Other than that, we loved this apartment amd would definitely stay again.

That sign spoke directly to me the minute we entered. It felt like home. Loved the view and the sounds of ocean and the lovely waves. Will be back soon

Filthy’
This place was disgusting. The silverware drawer was filthy, and many of the silverware pieces were covered in grime and crust. Several bowls and plates looked as if they’d been used and simply placed back in the cabinet. Remote controls and surfaces were grimy. The floors did not appear to have been vacuumed. I’ll never stay here again.

Lighthouse View Condo
We stay all over the world, so we have a vast amount of experience using VRBO. First, the base cost of the rental is perfect. However, cleaning, management fees and tax (for a non tax state) is definitely overpriced. However the unit itself is lovely. It is a first floor unit with close neighbors, so the blinds need to stay closed on the north side of unit. The views are lovely. There is NO BEACH ACCESS. You must walk about 12 minutes to Nye Beach (which wasn’t a problem for us, but don’t think you can just walk down with beach supplies). There is a steep goat trail we braved but wouldn’t recommend for anyone else. There is also a homeless encampment on the trail but not visible from the unit.
The unit itself is in good condition. It has a few issues: filthy carpet (pics upon request), nasty, moldy shower curtain in the guest bath and the heater in the main bedroom was broken with a note saying new one was on order. Bring your own toilet paper. The John Wayne type provided is horrid (no septic issues). You get better tp at a public rest area. The unit needs a thorough vacuum (behind beds and under furniture there was a lot of nasty crud, food, toys and general ick). Remember that expensive cleaning fee I mentioned?
However, the unit has a well equipped kitchen and utensils, plenty of bedding, towels, comfy beds and furniture. There are a couple of rollaway beds if you have extra guests. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available but being January, not needed. We enjoyed the fireplace on a stormy evening and the soaking tub after a cool walk on the beach. There were little bars of soap, baby shampoo, dish soap and laundry detergent. Bring your own salt/pepper and coffee. Walmart and Safeway are very close. Overall a really nice place. A pair of good binoculars would’ve been welcome. We would recommend staying at this lovely condo. Happy travels!

The master bedroom and master bathroom are great. The second bedroom has no windows but it was fine. The drain in the second bathroom tub was clogged and should be addressed. Also the carpeting should be replaced. This was one of the nicer places we have stayed in for this area. Also, the lockbox could use some WD-40, we had trouble getting the buttons to reset. The layout is great and my family did not want to leave. The fireplace was very cozy and the kitchen was well stocked. The water pressure was great and very hot.
I would go again. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Conversations were very nice with maintenance have no problem with ,them,just a crazy little stove. We really love this place , location, beauty of ocean and beach. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy. Also to see if are stove clicking gremlin is still up to its mischief.

Arrived late in the day. Unit was clean and we were able to move our coolers to the cement back patio. It helped us keep an eye on our stuff as we were a little concerned about it staying in the back of the pickup. Our view was stunning and the unit was very quiet even though there were other people around. Centrally located and we were very happy with our overall stay. There were four of us and we were able to split the use of the bathrooms use for so each couple had their own space. Carpeting probably needs to be redone at some point as it is beginning to show its wear and tear. Not that there were holes or anything but it is an older carpet with some stains on it that I am sure you can't get out. We were unable to get access to the guest key lock so ended up using the Emergency Key the whole stay so it needs to be fixed as well. Property management helped us when we called late to get into the unit.

Overall, we had a delightful stay.

The view is better than pictured. Its spectacular! The location is convenient for some great food in Nye Beach and easy access to anything in Newport. Beds were comfy. Plenty of linens and kitchen supplies.

We're not "white glove critics", but we do expect a property as nice as this to be clean and well-maintained. Neither was the case. Sadly we arrived to dirty carpet, dusty furniture (some pieces broken), dirty baseboards throughout, dirty tile grout, and a dismembered smoke alarm dangling from the bedroom ceiling. There was mold and mildew all along the bedroom windowsills and in the shower, the sheets were questionable, and you don't want to know what the bed topper looked like. Needless to say, we're glad we brought our own sheets.Sadly, we cannot recommend this property until the cleaning issues are addressed.

We had a wonderful visit in this condo. That said, we were two couples. This condo is probably more suited for a small family. One bedroom is much bigger than the other, with a great view, while the other has enough room to walk around the bed and the window looks onto the walkway to the parking lot.
