The bed was comfortable, the shower was very good, the breakfast was quite adequate.

The property needs a lot of TLC. When we passed the laundry room, it was filthy, I notified the front desk and they sent staff to clean it. One drawer in our room had a handle broken, our tv did not work, I called the front desk and he came up and fixed it. The land line phone was very dusty, the refrigerator freezer compartment was full of rusty water, we chose not to use the fridge.. I noticed the bottom of the toilet was dirty, when I flushed it, some of the stain went away. After the 3rd flush, it was gone, I’m assuming it was a from feces stain from a previous customer.

There was a single sausage left half way through the breakfast period. When I asked for some was told that breakfast is "first come first served" and that no other food would be provided. Just boxes of Cherios...no other cereal. Waaaaaaaaay under staffed. Halls and stairways dirty.

Convenient iff the freeway and inexpensive

Breakfast is a joke, this hotel should be shut down by the health department. I’m suspicious that it is funded (barely) by local agencies to act as a homeless shelter. It used to be a comfort inn, now it’s called the Roosevelt. Staff are uninterested in being there and attend to nothing. The smell of this place greets you when you walk in the door and again in the elevator and again in the the room. It’s unhealthy. Sketchy, just wait til it gets colder. It’s not a real hotel.

Cheaper price than others for that location.

Room was small and had a slight stench of marijuana. Had a dirty wash cloth on left on top of toilet. Hand towel hanging up was dirty. Breakfast (on Sunday) was the worst I’ve seen. Bread was hard, waffle machine was empty, only had biscuits and gravy. Monday breakfast was a little better with more options. Room Card did not work to open recreation room. Had to reset my room card every day for a 3 day stay.

the cable for the tv was not working, they offered to try to find another room but I didn't want to have to walk (I am disabled) and move my stuff. and the young lady said she wasn't sure they had another room so. I had a hard time finding the direct local number for the hotel. I booked online but needed to talk with the front desk. The number in The Roosevelt website goes directly to a call center for Choice Hotels. After 45 minutes of talking with 5 different people I was frustrated, and did not have the number. I hope the Roosevelt gets this worked out as I would have cancelled my room and gone elsewhere but the room was already paid for.

Every time I stay I feel welcome. The staff were accommodating. My room is always clean and quiet. Their efforts are appreciated!
