Stunning hummingbirds in the mornings.
Great communal area.
Pool was a trek from the hotel and missed a view.
Staff kept trying to take away our plates whilst we were still eating.
Missing elements of breakfast.

the location and trails around the property were lovely, well thought out, and designed with the nature lover in mind.
one of our rooms has mold on the ceiling and walls, there was limited to no hot water, the quality of the food in the restaurant was fair.

fredelig beliggende midt i jungelen.
svømmebassenget på eiendommen var stengt og vi måtte gå til annet overnattingssted for å bruke bassenget. med mange små barn gjorde dette det vanskelig.

Lovely little place tucked in the forest, with access to a great viewpoint. The vibe in the hotel is nice. The rooms and simple but clean (although not fully closed off to the outside, in our case). The staff at the restaurant in particular is extremely friendly. We found the proposed food options to be good and not too pricey, and enjoyed our meals. The included breakfast was also nice.
There is no reception and the wifi didn’t work most of the time. Not an issue unless you need to work or plan stuff from there, otherwise, a good opportunity to disconnect. There is a bit of construction ongoing on the site, which is big. We were not bothered by noise, but it does ruin a bit the isolated / forest ambiance.
It is a bit further out that many places - a 15 minute taxi moto ride (15 000 COP per person) from Minca.

The view from the hotel's mirador (5mins from the main building) is simply amazing the highlight of our stay.
The food in the hotel's restaurant was very good.
The rooms are relatively basic, but we expected this.

Located quietly in the high hills of the Sierra Nevada it was perched beautifully to observe all kinds of birds! The dwellings were tastefully located as well as the central area to mingle with others and eat. Rustic pathways meandered throughout the vast property with a gorgeous fresh water pool which we enjoyed very much. Also, a small hike to a secluded waterfall was a place one could explore with no disruption from the crowds!

Beautiful grounds in the forest with a lovely view. Food is good.
Rooms are very basic and lack charm, there is lots of unfinished construction around the hotel, wifi is almost non existent. Also, quite a distance from Minca.

Lovely relaxed feel. Staff are super friendly especially the restaurant staff, the waiter is super nice.
The communal building is really nice and comfortable. The mirador is amazing! Spent hours here.
The food was nice, the previous reviews made it sound not at all good, so I don't know if they have updated the menu since but I felt it was fine.
It's a lovely place out of way of any noise, it's what we wanted but not for everyone.
Big comfortable bed, nice pillows.
The room was dark and a bit tired, it felt quite damp also.
The area around the pool was full of building materials and really let down the feeling of the place down.
It is out of the way and over an hour walk to Minca, so depends if you re happy with that.
It's not quite the quiet haven we were expecting, the rooms were a bit noisy in the red building, you could hear other people alot.
Could do with somewhere to put your clothes etc. Mosquito net would have been helpful.
The meal times are quite early finishing. 9am for breakfast and 8pm for dinner, not too much of a problem bit you do have to think about it to make sure you don't miss them.

It is a large nature reserve with proper care and accommodations. Great experience, specially for travelers who value scenic views and trekking activities.

I liked the restaurant being outside; I liked the lookout and the paths leading to it. I loved the balcony with a hammock. The waiter was very sweet and tried to give me potions for my cold.
I was told they didn't have electricity; then I was told that they sometimes turn on a generator. I wondered how I would charge my phone without electricity. After that, the generator was on the whole time. The wifi dropped in and out constantly. There was no air conditioning (I think it said there was?). I asked for a fan and as long as the generator was on, I could use it. It wasn't needed at night and it wasn't that hot in the daytime either. The pool had the river running through it so there was dirt at the bottom. It was cold too. The food was just OK. It was a little too quiet for me as a solo traveler. It was about 10 miles from Minca and an $18 taxi ride each way.

These people are so friendly and humble, we enjoyed our stayed which turned out to be longer than expected due to sickness. Everyone helped so much during our stay with anything that I needed, including medicines and always making sure that we are well and we enjoy our stay.
The location is amazing, probably the best viewpoint in the area where you can see a wonderful sunset.
We upgraded our room with one closer to the viewpoint and we had spectacular sunrise views straight from bed.
They can organise anything you need, including taxi, moto bikes to the village or the airport.
I give a round of applause to Samuel who was always extremely helpful and friendly. This is a family business, so you will definitely feel like you’re part of it during your stay. Thank you!
Could use some toilet brushes

The sunset viewing point is the best thing about this hotel. It has an amazing platform with a view of Santa Marta. The birds at breakfast were fun too.
We had a few issues with our stay. The double room was very basic, the balcony door was fitted badly so there was a big hole in the side which mosquitos and bugs could enter the room through. The toilet was broken and the room had no storage or hangers, just one small side table, so we had to keep everything on the floor.
The food in the restaurant was OK but expensive, there is much better food in Minca which is cheaper too. The service in the restaurant was bad, the waiter forgot our drinks at every meal and got confused about our orders too. One evening they forgot chicken on my salad and then served me a salad which was not on the menu, but a mix of other salads as they ran out of ingredients. When I questioned this I was told repeatedly that I was wrong and it was the salad I ordered, then later the chef explained the truth to me, but nobody once communicated with me to check if it was OK to change my dish.
After raising our complaints we were offered a free cocktail, a nice touch but we were given a random one without being offered any choice, and no discount on the room or the meals which were incorrect. A small compensation for lots of errors.
Overall the stay was OK because of the location but the hotel pretends to be much smarter than it is on Instagram and Booking, really it is a basic family run hostel with average service and rooms in need of an upgrade. We have stayed in cheaper hostels which provide a better experience.

Beautiful location in the mountains w wonderful views. We especially enjoyed hiking the private trail, hanging out in the gigantic hammock and interacting with resident parrot Pancho and tbe pair of peacocks. The room and batroom was spacious, with comfy beds.
Due to the lack of mosquito nets and gaps in the balcony door, we were botheted by mosquitos all night. Our room showed signs of mosquito problems of earlier guests, with bloody stains on walls and curtains.
Breakfast service was haphazard, with no options other than eggs, arepas and bread.

the rooms are functional and the restaurant has very tasty dishes.
