This was the best hotel we stayed in our 10 days in California. The most confortable bed and linen I ever slept in. Worst every penny: magical garden, great views, great staff. It has a lot of rules around and remind me of begging at my grandmother house (in a good way). Fresh flowers in living room decorated with style. A truely special place

Using Corona as an excuse to not make-up guest rooms seems pretty cheeky at this point. Buffet breakfast poor with limited selection. Generally the property is overpriced.

The room was very well appointed (although lacking a bar fridge). There were plenty of storage areas for the traveller, lots of power points, very comfortable bed and armchairs and a great gas fireplace. It had a good sized shower and good water pressure.
It is in a fantastic location.
The breakfast was "OK". My wife is coeliac and despite us alerting the staff to her gluten free requirements, several months before when we booked, there was minimum options provided apart from some heavily sugared cereals. We were there for three nights and they did to their best to help. There was no bar fridge in the room, an essential thing when one is travelling and they couldn't even store our cold foods in their kitchen fridge.

Seaside view. Decoration of rooms and common areas (very good taste). Excellent little Hotel, with a flavor of the Belle Époque. Truly chique.

I like thw check in staff Janet , she is super nice & friendly . I like the welcome champagne.
Room location was great since i have a disability but i wish there was an opaque curtain behind the sheer curtain to give us privacy when changing clothes especially at night .

Absolutely gorgeous venue. View was amazing with comfy bed. Champagne at arrival and friendly staff. Breakfast was yummy!

The view. This is where we spent our honeymoon 34 Years ago.
The ambience has changed and something is lacking-not sure what? The charm is gone. The sitting area in the front part of the living room is reminiscent of a nursing home. Chairs just lined up.
Also, it's disappointing that there are no cookies in the evening and appetizers in the afternoon. I don't care that there isn't wine but a few snacks prior to dinner would be nice.

Welcoming staff, love being able to communicate with the front desk via text messaging for our needs, very comfortable bed, amazing ocean view.

We booked at Seven Gables Inn via Booking.com for two nights. When we arrived there, we didn't like our room, it was very small and inconvenient, we asked to change our room, the staff said we have free rooms, let's see what we can do for you. we were even ready to pay more. He came back and told us since we have booked through booking.com, we should contact them, then he said we can change our room for just one night, and we said it was okay to have a better room even for one night. Then he contacted the manager to get confirmation. Finally, he said the manager didn't confirm, we tried to reach out to booking.com and we couldn't. It was very frustrating for us, and an experience to not book any hotel through booking.com. Something else, the breakfast was not good at all some veggie staff and lack of variety.
