Unique property from the late 1800's. Lots of room overall but 2nd bathroom is very small. Lots of stairs to reach the home from the private parking spot. Great hosts and wonderful home made dinner prepared by hosts at the property.

So much history and beautiful things to see. Amazing views and close to so many great sights. We traveled from there to Florence, Siena and many other Tuscan locations, but was able to call it ‘Home’ at night. Cooking in was nice too. Large patio to relax. Very casual. We were blessed to have nice weather. Allesandro and Lilliana were very responsive of our every question and recommended several things to do. Will look forward to a return visit when it allows.

Large rooms, plenty of space. Early 19th century decor which adds a slower paced appeal. Patio has a nice setting that overlooks the valley. Good Cafe across the street opens at 0530. Street noise can be bothersome in the morning and evening as a lot of traffic goes down the hill into town or getting to highway.

Casa Anna is an amazing home with a lot of history that hosts Alessandro and Liliana are more than happy to share. The period pieces, great location and wonderful views from the large terrace make this the perfect place to stay in Tuscany. It is close to both Florence and Siena, as well as to smaller towns including Volterra and San Gimignano. The hosts graciously provide a wealth of helpful information about the area. The private parking area is an added bonus. Be sure to check out the amazing bakery across the street and the nearby restaurants within walking distance. This is by far one of the best places to stay in this area of Tuscany and we cannot wait to return to Casa Anna on our next trip. Thank you Alessandro and Liliana for your hospitality. We are grateful for having the opportunity to stay in your wonderful home.

My husband and I plus another couple spent 3 nights at the lovely Casa Anna. Alessandro and Liliana were there to greet us and give us a tour of the property. There was plenty of room for the four of us (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and dining room) plus a scenic terrace for us to enjoy and relax at the end of the day. Colle di Val d’Elsa was the perfect location for touring the hill towns of Tuscany. The hosts were a wealth of knowledge making suggestions as to what to see in the area. They will also cook for you - we thoroughly enjoyed a 5 course feast!

Alessandro and his wife are so proud of this beautiful home from their family past, and rightly so. We drove to Tuscany from the airport and after multiple delays we were so tired and it was getting dark. But Alessandro doesn't let anything faze him, he was with us on the phone guiding us on "What's App", and even met us in the middle of a fork in the road to have us follow him into the car park at the back of the house. He and his wife proudly gave us a tour of the home and told us the little quirks to avoid in an older home and made you feel like a friend coming to visit. It is modernized where it is important and you are left with the beauty. What a wonderful way to begin our first day. We loved the history in the house, our hosts, the town and the surrounding area. We went to Rome for the final part of our trip. We loved Rome but missed Colle. If you want a wonderful experience in an old city with great hosts this is the one for your family. Just the view from the kitchen window took our breath away. It is very hilly and I could not handle some of the longer walk up hill, but we had a the car and we managed just fine. A small note, which is a really a matter of preference, was that the beds were very hard. If that is a deal breaker for you then it might matter. For us, just living in this lovely home from the past in this beautiful country even for a matter of days was incredible.

Amazing stay. Alessandro and his wife Liliana were such welcoming and gracious hosts. You definitely need to take them up on their in house Tuscany dinner offer - it was magnificent. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our 2 couples - it even has extra room for another couple or children. Highly recommend staying here - you will love it!

Casa Anna was a delight, a step back in time with its decorated ceilings, tessellated floor tiles, and precious family heirloom furniture. Alessandro and Liliana were the perfect hosts, and were justifiably proud of their ancestral home. They were on the doorstep to welcome us, and show us around the spotlessly clean accommodation (and secret cellar!) Casa Anna is in an unspoiled Tuscan village with vibrant restaurants and the BEST patisserie across the road. We wish we could have stayed much longer :)

We feel so lucky to have found Casa Anna in the wonderful city of Colle Di Val D'Elsa for our first ever trip to Italy. Alessandro and Lilliana made every step, from booking to departure, a pleasure. They made us feel at home in their home. Casa Anna is exactly as pictured. It was a very large, clean and comfortable space for 3 adults including 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. We were so close to many delightful places in Colle (the coffee shop and bakery across the street, the piazza just down the street, and great shops). It is a quick and easy drive to Sienna, if that is on your list of things to do. As other guests have commented, it is a must to take advantage of their home cooked Tuscan dinner. So fresh, so delicious and such fun, the eggplant parmesan is a must try! We made lifelong memories due to our wonderful hosts and the beautiful city of Colle. Grazie mille

We had an amazing stay at Alessandro and Liliana’s place. The check in process made us feel very welcome with excellent advice on things to do and a full tour of the features of the amazing property. The house is well-equipped and situated within a great village- all you expect from Tuscany but without having been over-touristed. Some great local restaurants and swimming spots. Alessandro and Liliana are super friendly and hospitable and we will be recommending their place to others.

Thank you for hosting our family! We enjoyed authentic stay in your home. It was a base for our trip in Tuscany which was very convenient. Loved the fact that there were not many tourists around. We would come back again! Thank you, Alessandro and Liliana!

Our experience at Casa Anna was the best we’ve ever had when traveling. We’ve stayed in 5+ rentals in 3 countries and this was by far the best. The hosts Alessandro and Liliana were very welcoming, kind, helpful and amazing. They made our trip so wonderful. They helped us to pick the best places in town to eat as well as best places to visit. They provided many unique experiences for us to enjoy that you cannot get anywhere else. Plenty of space for many people in the home. It was across the street from the best bakery, Mario Barone. You will not regret staying here. It was a true home away from home.

We loved our stay at Casa Anna! Alessandro and Liliana are very welcoming and accommodating hosts who shared helpful information with us before we arrived and while there.
The apartment is spacious and wonderfully located. We used it over a three week period as a couple before arrival/after departure of our adult children and grandkids (9, 12, 16) in two different groups. The apartment worked well for all family configurations. The courtyard was big enough to park with some maneuvering a large station wagon that carried 7 people.
The apartment itself was comfortable and well appointed with conveniences. The views from the back of the valley were spectacular and we enjoyed lunch on the terrace even in April. The families used the washing machine non-stop and the sunny clothes lines dried the laundry quickly.
Colle di Val d'Elsa was a fantastic surprise. We were able to walk to a wide choice of restaurants and pastry shop Mario Barone is right across the street. The medieval/renaissance historic center was fun to explore and we enjoyed the lower town for grocery shopping, the Friday outdoor market, ice cream and other restaurants. We visited one of Colle's crystal factories and took a full tour of their facilities and were able to purchase at discounted prices.
Colle di Val d'Elsa is centrally located for exploring Tuscany with easy access to the main artery between Florence and Siena. We also loved visiting the smaller hilltop towns nearby.

Our stay at Casa Anna couldn’t have been better. Allesandro was very communicative from the very beginning. He gave us lots of tips on things to do in the area and was so welcoming. Lilianna prepared us an amazing meal when we arrived and the gave us the most amazing cooking class the next day. That was such an amazing treat to bring home.
The location is perfect for exploring the Tuscany area. We all look forward to visiting Casa Anna and Colle Val d’Elsa.

This home was wonderful, located in the historic district. Very charming, filled with antiques and spacious. Includes Private off street parking, definite plus! A wonderful bakery and Cafe across the street to start the day. Many Great restaurants within walking distance.
Great home base for exploring the charming towns of Tuscany.
Alessandro and Lilliana were great hosts and the communication was great. We left something important behind and they arranged for the package to be shipped to the US.
This will be a place to return to in the future, because who doesn't want to return to Bella Tuscany!

Lilianna and Alessandro are lovely, kind and joyfully welcoming people. We found Casa Anna to be the perfect setting for our stay in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The rooms are large, yet comfortable, historic, yet with modern conveniences. The cafe/bakery across the street was so convenient for morning cappuccinos and croissants. There were many choices for meals within easy walking distance. However, the meal we all will remember is the one prepared by Lilianna and Alessandro for us on our last evening. It was a delicious Tuscan feast and we took delight in many homegrown products and treats.

The apartment is so spacious and absolutely beautiful! The terrace has the most amazing views, everything you imagine Tuscany will be. Great apartment for our family of five, with large bedrooms, a wonderful kitchen and dining room. And all in the heart of old town, walking distance to restaurants and bars for cappuccino. Will stay again when we return to Italy! Grazie Millie, you made us feel at home.

Four generations of my family felt this was their home away from home. The location gives easy access to the sights of Tuscany. Best of all are the warm and generous hosts...Lilian and Alessanndro.

This was the best place we have ever stayed at, on any platform. Alessandro and Liliana have created a really special experience.
The apt is spacious, there are many places to be together or to have some alone time.
The interiors have both old world charm and modern comforts. The floors are insanely beautiful, smooth and cool underfoot - local marble, tile; the ceilings are very high, with beautiful decorative plaster. There are shutters allowing you total darkness as you sleep, if you wish. The terrace has an amazing view of the church tower, getting up to watch the sunrise from there is absolutely worth it.
The town is charming, we loved walking the old section. There are not the crowds of tourists here, despite being ourselves tourists it was nice to stroll the quiet streets. Everywhere we looked was a new picturesque sight. The restaurants in walking distance are good and the shop across the street has amazing cakes. Very close to Siena for a day trip as well.
We stayed in some castles on our Europe trip, and though lovely they had nothing on this place. We recommend having Liliana make dinner-I’m not kidding it was the best meal we had in Italy-with traditional courses that had clearly developed over generations into simple perfection.
10/10 this place is magic.

Alessandro and Lilianna were amazing hosts, the best ever assuring that everything is perfect for their guests.
The apartment is beautiful as pictured and has everything you may need .
The deck is just gorgeous with a beautiful view.
A really great benefit is that they have parking in the garden with a gate. It makes staying their so easy.
The apartment is extremely clean and we couldn’t have wanted anything more.
We loved the Tuscan dinner they made for us and served at the apartment. If you have time, please enjoy it. All ingredients were fresh and many grown by them.
Absolutely perfect 10 days for 2 couples. There is a 3rd bedroom and it would work about perfect for 3 couples.

We enjoyed our stay in Colle di Val d’Elsa. There were only 2 of us in a 3-bedroom house - we didn’t need that much space but were happy to stay in such a comfortable traditional home. We especially enjoyed the huge terrace with its views over the town.

The appartement was very well equipped, we did not miss anything. There is a lot of space in the appartement itself and the terrace invites to spend some time there after a daytrip. The host was always super-friendly and helpful and we could contact him whenever necessary. The car could be parked securely on the property. The center of the historic city is nearby and other interesting places and cities can be reached very well.
Some traffic noise disturbed a little bit but all in all we were very satisfied! We would rate the place at 4,9 out of 5 stars.

Fabulous place to stay in Tuscany!
Casa Anna was a great place to stay in Tuscany. The apartment is large and comfortable and has a beautiful terrace. There is a fantastic pasticceria just up the street as well as many great restaurants to walk to. The hosts, Alessandro and Liliana, were exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed their friendliness and responsiveness and all of their suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. We highly recommend.

Everything you could possibly need on vacation is in the house, and of high quality. We especially enjoyed having breakfast and drinks on the large, sun covered terrace.
Allesandro is an amazing host, eventhough there was a bit of a language barrier he was very helpful in giving information. The lake and the swimming pool are close by, really recommend!

Despite cold rainy weather, we enjoyed our stay in this historic Italian family home. The home was large and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. The area was quiet with a delicious bakery across the street. The on-site parking was very convenient for our frequent day trips throughout the region. Alessandro and Liliana were very responsive to our questions and helpful in showing us around the home and giving us information on the area. Because of the weather, we were unable to use the terrace which had a gorgeous view of the countryside. We would recommend taking the elevator from the old town to the new town to see the activity and visit the shops. Although later seen on the website in Italian, we were initially unaware of the additional cleaning and heating fees. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful, historic home.

Splendid Property
Splendid property with beautiful panoramic views from the terrace and back of the apartment. Wonderful holiday in a town ideally located to explore all the well known cities and sights of this area, as well as the charming medieval walled towns and villages set atop the rolling hills of Tuscany. Alessandro and Liliana were excellent hosts, providing us with useful information about the places of potential interest. The apartment is comprehensively equipped, any additional items required were promptly provided - and Liliana's cakes were delicious. Strongly recommended for a family holiday.

Exceeded Expactations!
Casa Anna is an amazing place! Plenty of space for 3 couples and wonderful rooftop terrace and private courtyard for parking. Alessandro was an excellent host and the location on the village is amazing. We enjoyed staying at the villa and in the area as much as local trips to the “tourist” stops. 2 bathrooms were great and we enjoyed using the kitchen for afternoon happy hour and light breakfast. The washing machine was perfect for getting ready for the next leg of our trip. Casa Anna gives you the feeling of really being a part of Tuscan life. Thank you Alessandro for sharing your lovely home!

Loved our stay here!
We loved our stay at Casa Anna! We were privileged to stay in such a historic building in a beautiful town! It is a convenient location to Siena, San Gimignano and Florence, but without all the tourist activity. We have a lovely meal atop the castle turret in town and really enjoyed the evening on the patio! Alessandra was extremely gracious, and the home has a wonderfully peaceful spirit! Thank you - we loved it!

Look no further!
If you’re looking for the perfect Tuscan townhouse, close to wonderful restaurants, a beautiful little square with a cafe and bar and with its own private terrace looking out over the Tuscan countryside, look no further. Perfect location and wonderful house. Much bigger than we thought and with many interesting features. Very safe, clean and well presented. We can’t wait to stay again with our children this time. They will love the swimming in the local river. Allesandro and Liliana are perfect hosts. So friendly and helpful.

Great apartment in good location - super hosts
Alessandro and Liliana were helpful, delightful hosts who gave a warm welcome to this spacious apartment filled with heirloom furnishings. Even in the heat, the apartment stayed pleasantly cool. The kitchen had all we needed for simple cooking and the shops were doors away. Colle di Val d'Elsa Alta is a lovely Tuscan hill town with lots to enjoy on foot, and is also well placed for day trips to Florence, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, and nearby vineyards. We planned too much for our week there and didn't have time for cooking lessons, which Liliana and Alessandro can arrange for you. Perhaps our favorite spot was on the private terrace overlooking the town wall and valley with a glass of wine, delicious food, and the church bells ringing as the swifts flew overhead. It's a special place to which we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Two weeks in Tuscany
As a graduation gift to my grandson, Andrew, I took Andrew and his friend to Casa Anna. The location was perfect in a small walled city. Having a coffee shop across the street, a wine store a few doors away, a bread store and a fruit and vegetable store in the same block made eating at the house very easy. The patio in the back was perfect for sunning, relaxing and sharing wine in the evening. The rooms are large and airy! I would recommend this rental to anyone who enjoys the taste of Tuscany. Gloria

A lovely home in Tuscany
This is a lovely home in a picturesque Tuscan town. Ample room for our group (5) and beautiful views from the terrace. Kitchen is well-equipped for a rental and I highly recommend the wine (for sale) in the dining room. Location is great - short drive to large grocery stores, short walk to a very upscale bakery, and easy access to the highway for day trips to Florence, Sienna and much more.
The weather was cooler than we expected but with the space heater we were comfortable in the evenings. Note our group included a few older adults.
Guests will want to read the laminated information sheets near the front door. We eventually found them and were able to reset the breaker when it conked out (note: this is common in homes/towns of this vintage). During our stay the wifi network stopped working early on but we managed with our own hotspot. I think the modem may just need to be reconfigured. Also - if the car rental agency offers you a larger car, say no. The rear parking is very handy & safe but best suited to a sensible smaller car.
The owners are very welcoming and responsive. They have put thought and care into setting up and managing the rental of what used to be a family home.

Best apartment in Tuscany
We were 6 friends spending some time in Italy. We stumbled upon this beautiful apartment and had a wonderful time. Alessandro our house was wonderful and helped us was weird to go and see beauty. Three bedroom curtains was breathtaking beautiful tapestry is handpainted tile extremely spacious. I cannot believe we could get such a lovely apartment for rent. The rooftop views we’re breathtaking and we enjoyed having our wine and tapas at night up on the private terrace. He was right he should have got his place for a week. Three nights was not enough. So centrally located to money and she into town is Cassius and wineries. Don’t miss this secret little gym

Wonderful apartment in beautiful hill town in Tuscany
We had a wonderful time, and I would stay again in a heartbeat. The apartment is lovely — elegant and spacious, with plenty of space for four adults and two teenagers. We enjoyed breakfasts and lunch on the lovely terrace, with a terrific view over the Tuscan countryside. The location is wonderful as well — a terrific pasticceria across the street, a lovely little market nearby, and great restaurants within a block or two on either side. The town itself was a great surprise — we had planned to use it as a base for exploring other better known towns (and it is certainly conveniently located for doing that) but the most fun we had was wandering around Colle di Val d’Elsa itself, a small but very picturesque town or rather trio of villages that nonetheless is not overrun by tourists the way San Gimigniano or Volterra are. Perhaps the best aspect of the apartment was the owners — Alessandro and Liliana were very warm, full of information, and absolutely accommodating of our schedule.
I can’t say enough about how great this apartment was. We have had good luck with nearly everywhere we have stayed but even so this apartment really stood out!

Beautiful, spacious Casa Anna - Highlight of our two week trip!
From the warm welcome we received from Alessandro and his lovely wife Anna we felt completely at home in Casa Anna. The apartment is beautiful - three huge bedrooms, a large dining area and good-sized kitchen. Our favorite spot was the beautiful, private outdoor terrace. We enjoyed being part of the "old town" of Colle di Val d'Elsa - just steps from lovely squares and excellent restaurants. Val d'Elsa retains its charm as it is not overrun with tourists (a plus for us!) but is very conveniently located for day trips to other towns in Tuscany. We visited Sienna, Volterra, Montalcino and San Gimignano. We had a car and Casa Anna has a private, gated courtyard for parking - a definite plus. The apartment is classically decorated. The open shutters at night let in a cool breeze and we all slept comfortably. We were three friends and each had our own bedroom. The apartment could comfortably accommodate three couples or two families with children - plenty of room and lots to do just outside your door. Alessandro was a great host. We kept in touch via text during our stay at Casa Anna. He was helpful with restaurant suggestions and we enjoyed some delicious, fresh tomatoes he brought from his farm. We enjoyed visiting Tuscany but the best part of each day was sitting on the terrace, enjoying a glass of wine and watching and listening as Val d'Elsa put herself to sleep. I can't wait to return!
