The villa is very spacious and well equipped. Also, its location above Zaton Veliki with view to the bay is very nice. Great thing is that there are 2 beaches very close. One city beach down the road and second wild beach at the other side of the hill. Both walking distance, but for the wild beach you need to go from the cliff, so good shoes is a must. There is also large pool shared with other Astra villa next door. Zaton Veliki itself is very small place and quite place, what we liked. You can walk to small shop as well se few restaurants, there are also boats for rent and roundtrip boats. But for anything else you shall have a car. Host is very responsive and the local lady taking care of the house helped us with every problem we had as well. House equipment is having its age, but it is working well and looks nice. Also beds are not the most comfortable I have used.

There is only one way, how to get to the villa and that is very narrow street cross restaurant and pier. Also, street next to the villa is steep and small. If you have small car, none of it is a problem. But with big car it is a bit of a challenge. We managed to drive there with large 5m long and 2m wide VAN, however, it need very careful and precious driving and at some places (including entry gate to the villa) we had to drive with only few cm distance from walls at several places. And avoid shortcut next to the church as it is really very narrow. As expected, the electricity and internet is not as strong as we are used to, but is was working fine for a vacation place.

Very comfortable big house. Spacious rooms. Good air conditioning (four machines!) Superbly maintained big swimming-pool. Fine terrace. Well equipped kitchen. In the village many good restaurants at great places.

Very difficult route by car to the house. Many tight places between houses in Zaton Veliki village. Don´t rent too big car, we had BMW X1 and that fit barely in tight places. No Toaster or television in the house.

Astra Villa is situated in beautiful location Of Zaton Veliki . The photos on booking do not do justice . It reeally is beautiful villa . The best thing is the view . It is breathtaking . The coastal walk that start just behind the villa and goes all the way round to the bottom of the village is stunning . You will see some stunning views . Our 3 teenagers loved the fact the pool and we as a family made a well use of it . Ruzica was really helpful , she has limited English , but she really tried to communicate . She came and checked on us every day and asked if everything was ok . She is a lovely lady . The communication with owner Alexander was really good . He has responded to my questions almost immediately . We wanted this location purely because we wanted to be near Dubrovnik , but didn't actually want to stay in Dubrovnik . We only book Zaton Veliky for that reason , but we discovered it is a little gem . The small village has everything you will need for unspoiled holiday , shop, restaurants, boat trips and great bus service to Dubrovnik . And lets not forget the VIEWS !!!!

We liked Everything , the only things that you need to be careful is the drive to the villa . It is really narrow and up hill . There is many cars driving trough , so it is passable , but just be careful how you drive . But if you wouldn't have that you would have the beautiful view .
