The apartment was in a gated complex with pool. The location was perfect. 5 min from beach. Close to restaurants café and shops. Alvor is a nice place to holiday, not too busy and big, with plenty of beach space.

We had a wonderful time in SweetHome with our two young children. It's a beautiful apartment in a super location. The pool is fantastic and everything in Alvor is within walking distance. Love it. Thank you to Miguel and Maria who are so kind and helpful.

Convenient location, very clean, well equipped for self catering.

Shower is very basic.

lovely location, apartment has everything you need - even some beach toys for the kids, great balcony for dining outside and enjoying a glass of wine! Apartment complex is very well maintained and so clean! Pool area was fabulous!

We arrived pm on 29.9.22 for 4 nights, Maria met us and showed us to the apartment and gave us 2 sets of keys. We unpacked and went out for something to eat, when returning at around 11pm, we put the key in the lock to open the door, the key broke in the lock which meant we had no access to the apartment or any of our belongings, I had left my phone on charge in the apartment so we did not have contact details for Maria, we had no option but to book into a hotel for the night, we walked to 2 but both had not vacancies, South beach and the Don Jao, we asked the reception of the Don Jao to see if any of there other hotels in the area had vacancies, they found us a room at a cost to us of a 100 euros plus two taxi fares of 8 euros = 16 euros this all took a very long time as we didn't have our passports with us. We didn't actually get into out room until 4.30 am. First thing on 30.9.22 I sourced Marias contact details from the internet. I called Maria at around 9-9.30 am and explained what had happened. She told me she would sort a lock smith out. She told me that they would be coming at lunch time they didn't arrive until 4.00pm in the afternoon. Which meant the 3 ladies in my party had to stay in our clothes from the night before all day with no sun cream, pool wear, phones of money. This was very uncomfortable for us as the weather was hot and there was no shade around the pool area whilst waiting. I called Maria several times though out the day and she was very vague as to when the locksmith would arrive. She offered us no help other than booking the locksmith. She then expected us to pay for the locksmith!!! When speaking to another owner whilst waiting outside the apartment for Maria he told me it had happened to him not that long ago and because we hadn't dead locked the door he was able to get the door open for us but the broken key was still in the barrel so a locksmith was still required.
