Perfectly located in the heart of the beautiful old town of Tropea, this accommodation was our most favourite during out 6 week tour of Italy. We had two rooms and both were super clean, spacious and well appointed. The building itself is an old palace situated on a small piazza off the main drag. The children loved the spa and with a stunning beach (one of the best in Italy) only a short walk away, we were spoilt for choice. The breakfast on the roof top terrace has a stunning view and was a highlight. Saverio was a perfect host and provided us with recommendations on where to go and which travel groups to sight-see with. We were very happy with all of his recommendations. We loved Residenza il Barone and can't wait to get back.

It was perfect

Everything was impeccable, the staff (Saverio) and his team make our stay extremely memorable. I can’t imagine not staying at Il Barone the next time I visit Tropea.

Saverio and Ercole were very good answering my text messages and eventually leading me to the location. I was exhausted and it was dark. I was also late. Ercole answered a myriad of questions and brought me two bottles of water. The apartment is very centrally located.

The location was perfect & it had everything we needed.

Location, enormous room, breakfast and views from terrace and staff was so helpful. parking our car was made easy, approx a 10 minute walk from Hotel, in a secure place. Beach access was easy from Hotel, a ten minute walk. Plentiful restaurants to chose from within a two minute walk.

We loved the appartment. Had everything you needed. They even provided coffee, oil, salt, sugar. All the essentials. They were very quick to reply when we had a question. Extremely kind owner and worker. Would highly recommend without a doubt!

Million dollar views at breakfast time from the Mediterranean rooftop style terrace . Seriously having breakfast here was a real treat great food and selection of fresh juices and the usual Italian delicacies on offer every day : Host was most obliging.

The property suited us in every aspect. Generous large bedroom and sitting room great air conditioning it was a pleasure coming home to after a hot day visiting the marvellous shops and brilliant restaurants.
