The grounds here are absolutely stunning. It’d be hard to find a more beautiful, extensive, lovingly cared for flower garden like this at an inn or hotel anywhere. The main, large pool is also pristine, clean, with wonderfully comfortable chaise lounges and shaded areas at the center of the property. Two other pools are tucked away elsewhere on the property and are a little less pristine than the main one but also gorgeous. We spent a whole lazy day in and around the pool main, had it basically to ourselves, and it was magical. The pathways to walk around d the property and views in every direction of the Atlas mountains are really something special as well. While I noticed before our stay in reading the reviews that many people had poor experiences with the restaurant, I’m wondering after put own stay if perhaps the food quality varies with the seasons based on what’s readily available / in season — in early summer we were so happy for all the fresh vegetables and fruits served at breakfast and dinner; while the meals weren’t life-changing, they were still very good and clearly made with care. We weren’t disappointed.
I would agree with some of the other reviews about certain details of the property (namely in the rooms) being a bit dated and in need of a little care. We had a large and super comfortable room but the AC was very loud and not very functional (specifically: it didn’t seem to have the power to actually make the room the temperature it was set to but did wake us with strange noises in the middle of the night a few times), the older mini fridge was not plugged in or cold on arrival, and the decor is definitely of another era. We were not hugely bothered by these details since it was only a 2 night stay in a 17 day journey through Morocco & our main reason to be there were the outdoor garden / pool areas and views but if you’re a traveler who really wants high-end, lux creature comforts / decor / etc. in your room this may not be quite the right stop. More of a quaint and traditional romantic stay than a modern and luxurious one room-wise.

Extremely stunning location!! The property & gardens are very well maintained - Simply beautiful.
Very calm & peaceful , very clean & lovely staff.
The food was amazing despite the other negative reviews? Yes , the menu was a little limited but it is cooked & presented to perfection!!
NO HORSE RIDING / POOR ANIMAL WELFARE!!! We booked this hotel on the hopes of horse back riding - Unfortunately this was not an option.
I found the horse stables , a 2 minute walk inside the the hotel gardens - the horse’s were incredibly malnourished , starving & bolted away in dirty small stables , no sign of fresh water or food.
The horses were BONE THIN and clearly distressed!!
It was incredibly upsetting.
Clearly the owner of the horse’s is busy / else where or running low on money ? I don’t believe it would be hard to freshen the water , feed them and maybe even let them out for a few hours.
It was huge disappointment seeing how well maintained the rest of the gardens & hotel is?!
I truly hope this will change as soon as possible.
Something has clearly gone terribly wrong & I’m sure can be resolved!! Wether horse riding is an option or not for the guests , there is no excuse for their neglect!!
:( - Please , please look after the horses!!!!

lovely location overlooking Atlas Mountains. Room and grounds beautifully maintained. Staff very helpful.

The location, the gardens and the spacious rooms. beds were huge and comfortable and shower was lovely
Lack of functioning air conditioning, repetitive menu of generally poor quality food. There was a lack of information on excursions, hikes, menus and you really had to probe to find out what you needed. Staff seemed largely uninterested and levels of service were generally not what would be expected. It was a shame that spa, tennis court and stables were unavailable, website should be updated to inform guests - horses that remained were in a terrible condition. Priority seemed to be given to external groups coming for lunch visits who would then take over the pool area. Whole hotel felt like it was stuck in the past and needs an injection of money and energy.

Spectacular property. Set in manicured gardens full of roses. Beautiful spacious rooms. Good service
I liked everything. The food was fairly good, but not at the level of the rest of the services.

The facilities are excellent - two lovely pool areas, with very comfortable sunbeds. Beautiful surroundings, set in grounds with flowers and greenery. Very nice bar area, with cosy fire for the evenings.
The rooms are a little dated. There's no safe, so you have to carry things with you.

Overall it was a great location, friendly staff, a good room and tremendously relaxing environment. The food was fine but never exceptional. The two major disappointments were that the spa had closed down and the tennis court was in very poor condition.
It would be good if you could get espresso coffee with breakfast (not available until 10am) and if the tennis court was in working order.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Beautiful grounds - even in winter. The standard room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the big marble bath.
We were worried about the welfare of the horses and donkeys. One horse had a skin condition (probably mange or fungal infection and probably curable with the help of a vet) and looked tired and emaciated and his eyes were shut most of the time. A donkey was tethered by a wire around one ankle only about a metre long. Future guests please monitor!
Some facilities were closed for the low season.

Beautiful gardens and a lovely room in a fantastic location
I think Covid has meant that lower rates of occupation has reduced staffing rates. The staff were good but themanager could have been slightly friendlier and the entrance hall was not particularly welcoming.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, the staff is lovely and the service doesn't disappoint. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and have AC.
The wifi isn't great, the food options for lunch and dinner could be more varied. Also a shame that the space isn't open as the hotel as 'spa' in its branding.

A wonderful oasis…
I’ve been to Morocco 30 times and was so happy to find this little gem. It’s where Richard Branson stayed and then copied with Kasbah Tamadot but this is a fraction of the price…
Beautiful gardens and staff so friendly…
Will be making this a regular place to stay near Marrakesh…
shame the wellness centre was closed

We loved the wonderful setting of the hotel, beautiful gardens. The staff were excellent and were accommodating when we arrived back late for dinner one night. Sone of the bedrooms were lovely and full of very interesting decor.
The entrance foyer is very unwelcoming and needs jollying up. Also some of the rooms were dingy and needed redoing. We had also requested to be close together, which did not work out. The staff need to be able to advise as to what you can do in the area. We were able to find out that you could do buggy riding and other activities which was enormous fun.

One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. It was early in the year so not many flowers were out but the gardens were still beautiful. Very few guests but fires were still lit for us in the bar/lounge area and the restaurant. Staff, including gardeners, helpful and charming.
The evening meals were lovely but always came as 3 courses with 3 choices for each course. This was very nice but sometimes a snack was all we wanted. A few more blue arrows would be helpful on the walk around the valley. Up to the bridge wasn't a problem but we lost the path on the return. Some friendly locals helped us back onto the path.
