The room was great, very clean, and beautiful view. The large pool was very clean, but lots of kids and families. The Largo Infiniti pool was the best. Except for the no drink around the pool rule. The food at the Infinite pool could use some help. The beach area was very restricted. No music? no smoking...I called it the NO beach, ha to many rules .

Everything was exceptional. First of all the staff should be mentioned because they all gave a great service. The garden, beach, the pools all was magnificent. I can only think positive about Irotama.

I didn't like very much, maybe because I was so uncomfortable and freezing cold the entire stay. I can however recommend the nurse and doctor who checked my symptoms and gave me 3 types of medications and rehydration coconut water.

Cold! The air conditioners were on full blast everywhere and I couldn't turn it all the way off in my room. Now 6 days after check-in I'm still sick as a dog and I was sick during the whole stay there. I missed the conference I was attending. I asked housekeeping not to clean/enter my room but she still did and left the AC on the coldest setting even though there was no need for it. She moved all my things around, making it hard for me to reach them, like all my shoes that she put under a table, by the wall so I had to use my crutch to fish them out. The breakfast buffet didn't smell good and I only had one banana and a small portion of scrabled eggs and a half raw package, in 5 days. The bread was stale. I spent most of my time throwing up in my cold room. I heard a lot of other guests also got sick. When I complained at the front desk about housekeeping entering my room minutes after I asked her not to and wit the do not disturb sign on, the reply was "don't worry its OK. It wasn't OK because I had arranged my things the way I wanted them and everything had been moved around. Definitely not staying again.

Environment is good overall, main pool, beach and other common areas. Room very comfortable and well equipped, good standard for cleanliness and room condition. Pool staff really tried hard to go the extra mile, which is a true plus for the resort, really appreciated.

There is a good offer at the restaurants, but I believe service would improve offering both fresh brewed coffee and expresso.

The room was large, clean and comfortable but was not what we booked.

They put us in a building very far from all amenities, pools, etc and in a room we did not book. It took FOREVER to check in, we were only there one night and I did more paperwork than I’ve done for anything in my life…

beach sand is a mix of brown and black maybe coal.

Water pressure in the shower was very weak

Idyllic location and vegetation as well as fauna. Impeccable facilities and warm attentive service.

Beach vendors, but you can avoid them if they become too annoying.

We don't tend to stay in this resort type of accommodation, and ended up here because my partner was feeling unwell after our trip to Tayrona National Park. We were due to catch a 5 hour bus to Cartagena but he wasn't well enough so we lay low until he recovered. It was a perfect place for this, comfortable room and bed, lovely social spaces, we didn't need to leave to get anything we needed, food etc. No one of the staff speaks English but they were so helpful. It turned out my partner had food poisoning and they provided rehydration solutions which helped him a lot, and one evening the doctor came out and prescribed antibiotics, flora for his gut and painkillers. All of these things really helped him to recover.

The food at the restaurants is absolutely awful. We love trying new food when we are travelling and we had some incredible food in Colombia but not at this hotel. Typical resort food.

I am unhappy with booking.com as I offered an upgrade which in the ended up to be a massive downgrade.

People at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. The rooms in the Irotama lagos were really confortable and had a balcony with a great view. The location of the hotel with the magnificent beach and the shaded areas to sit by the beach. Quite a lot of security personnel.

The check in takes a long time. The food lets the resort down, it is average at best and quite expensive for what it is. Some of the housekeeping was hit and miss ( ie, not stocking the shampoo or the coffee, towels not replaced)

On the beach people are always approaching you to try to sell you stuff.

Good food, nice landscapes

For me, as solo traveller, was not the best option (I'm responsible to a good extent about this). It's a very familiar hotel, with nothing much to do (apart from hanging in the beach or being in a pool). I definitely didn't use the "all inclusive" as much as I could've. I don't understand why this hotel is so expensive... Facilities are very old and everything seemed pretty generic, to be honest.
