Beautiful property, stunning countryside, amazing hosts. Very highly recommended!

We were met be Susan & Nick who were extremely welcoming. The villa was lit up and very impressive. We were given a welcome basket of essentials, like milk/Bread/Eggs and some luxuries too! The villa was very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the pool was very private. Great views from the roof terrace too. Plenty restaurants nearby. It was an absolute pleasure to spend our week there and definitely would recommend. We hope to return in the near future.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Almareka, the villa is gorgeous, enclosed and so well equipped. One of the many highlights is the roof terrace with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding area. There's plenty of amenities a very short drive from the villa, as well as great restaurants, places to see and things to do. The market in Jesus Pobre on a Sunday is a must go! Susan and Nick were excellent hosts and even provided a lovely welcome basket. They clearly care about their guests experience and have put a lot of thought into making your stay as enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be back!

Lovely secluded villa with private pool. Stunning views. Ideally you need a car to access any of the shops as they are a fair distance. Would be happy to stay again

We had an amazing stay at Casa Almareka. The location is beautiful and we loved the ever changing mountain view, especially from the roof terrace. The villa is lovely with everything you need. Thanks for the welcome pack Susan and Nick. This meant we could settle in straight away! The aircon was very welcome when the temperatures increased. We used the bbq which was great. The pool is fantastic for kids and adults alike and was very refreshing. The villa is located in Jesus Pobre and we all enjoyed the market on the Sunday. A must for foodies and plenty of refreshments on offer. There are lots of wonderful beaches and coves to explore nearby. The kids loved snorkelling. You can also find sandy beaches and pedalos in Xabia. Thanks again Susan and Nick for a very memorable and relaxing stay.

Lovely villa in a beautiful location. Nice people, good value restaurants and the surrounding scenery was stunning.

Knowing the area already, we were delighted that as a group of adults we could mix up doing beach, lunches, dinners, sightseeing, wine tasting, chilling by the pool, spa, golf, home style mini- birthday celebration at the villa, anything we felt like based on however we were feeling - it was all right there on our doorstep. Susan and Nick were wonderful and gave us local advice when we needed it, and essentially left us to the peace and quiet of their lovely place to enjoy.

We had a short break in this lovely villa. The garden and pool area are maintained to a high standard as is the house. There is access to lovely area on the roof which is walled. It is great to sit up there especially at the end of the day for some late in the day sunshine. We will stay for longer next time.

We had a great week at Casa Almareka. Sue and Nick were on hand to greet us and provided an extensive welcome pack to get us started. The villa and grounds are very secluded - even though next to other villas, we didn't see anyone else all week. The pool is a fantastic size for a 2 bed villa and the shaded terrace with ceiling fan was very welcome in the heat. Inside the villa is very homely and was spotlessly clean. Sue and Nick obviously take great pride in the villa, and we will definitely rebook if we are in the area again! It's also in a great location for getting to Javea, Denia, Moraira, Jalon valley etc.

Thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. House was very comfortable and equipped with everything we could need. Sue and Nick met us on arrival and had left us an extensive welcome pack to get us started, much appreciated. House, grounds, swimming pool all very well maintained and comfortable. Would be happy to recommend and hope to return.

A lovely well kept villa with a super pool, surrounded by beautiful gardens. We were made very welcome by Nick and Susan and really enjoyed the welcome pack they had provided for us upon our arrival, Thank you for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.

Home from home

This lovely couple has a very nice property in Jesus Pobre. Everything at the house was perfect and clean. The kitchen was fully equiped. Definately comming back in future! Pablo en Vanessa

We cannot rate this couple and their villa highly enough. Susan and Nick have made this very much a home from home. Everything was in good order, spotlessly clean and welcoming. The large walk in wardrobe was a lovely surprise. They had prepared a lovely pack of food which saw us through the next day, and kept in touch in case we needed anything. If we are able to return, this without a doubt, will be where we come. Oh and on the couple of days when it was a little colder, the central heating was amazing and the unlimited WIFI couldn't be faulted. We would definitely recommend this lovely villa.

Spectacular photo opportunities at dawn and dusk, swimming pool and gardens excellent. Small amount of road noise, need to drive for shopping but would 100% recommend to friends and would definitely like to return. Thank you Sue and Nick .

We stayed at Sues home in October 2020. As soon as we arrived we could tell that she had put a lot of love and effort into it. The villa was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. A welcome pack was a lovely surprise as well as having hand soap and shower gels in the bathrooms which you normally don't get in holiday rentals. The outdoor areas were just as fabulous with lots of different areas within the garden to relax and although it was October because the sun was on the pool most of the day we were able to use the pool without it being too cold. Sue was on hand to meet us on arrival and was warm and friendly. Unfortunately due to a family emergency at home we had to cut our stay short so can't wait to be able to book again. A wonderful place to relax with everything you could need.

A superb villa for a relaxing holiday. Stunning scenery, peaceful gardens, and just 10 minutes from Javea and Denia. This was a much needed break and everything was perfect. Many thanks to Susan and Nick - see you again soon.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic 10 days. Fabulous villa, I’m sure we’ll return.

As other reviews have stated the welcome we received from Susan was lovely. She left us a fabulous food basket and essentials in the fridge for us, which was amazing especially after traveling. The villa is typically Spanish and decorated to suit it. The villa was spotless and there is everything that you could possibly need for a holiday. Every kitchen utensil you want and plenty more! We did have a bit of a problem with the toilet but as soon as we called Nick the owner came straight away and fixed it. The gardens and the pool were beautifully kept and we enjoyed spending the warmer nights outside. You can walk to the local village which is lovely and there are a few restaurants that we had dinner in. The scenery is beautiful with mountains close by. I would say that if you don’t walk particularly well that you would definitely need to drive into the village as there are no pavements and an incline but for most people that wouldn’t be a problem. I would definitely recommend here to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, quiet and secure location that has a real Spanish feel to it!! Thank you so much for making our spring holiday special.

We stayed here for nine weeks from the end of November to the end of January and enjoyed it immensely. The villa has every amenity one could wish for, it's not simply a holiday property, it's a home. Although we refrained from using the pool the winter sun enabled us to spend a couple of hours most days sitting outside in the garden. As the temperature dropped we would prepare dinner in the fabulously equipped kitchen before sitting down at the dining table for our evening meal. Sue and Nick are great hosts and available if required although all we needed was a little assistance with the central heating timer.Apart from being a lovely property itself it is located ten minutes walk from the charming village of Jesus Pobre and a short drive to the coast at Javea. The surrounding area is also great for walking whether it be a gentle stroll or a more energetic hike.This is truly a great property in a fantastic location.Keith and Gill

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks staying at Casa Almareka. We were welcomed in person by Susan and Nick, who had put together a good selection of food, drink and condiments to get us started - no need to make an immediate trip to the supermarket to stock up.The villa is well appointed, clean and comfortable with a lovely little roof terrace to enjoy a 'sundowner' or two. The garden and pool are very pleasant and secluded from the other properties in the surrounding area.It is a few minutes' walk into Jesus Pobre, which has some good bars / restaurants and a very nice Sunday market. There is no footpath for part of the way and at some times of day the traffic can get a bit busy, so care is necessary and a torch at night. The other thing to be prepared for at night is mosquitos, so stock up on 'DEET'!The area around Jesus Pobre (Gata, Denia, Xabia and La Xara are the nearest towns) is lovely and the view from the villa of the 'Montgo' is stunning.In summary - a beautiful villa in a beautiful area with welcoming and helpful hosts. Highly recommended.

Location was perfect for us a short distance from Javea and Denia in the quiet village of Jesus Pobre. Plenty of great restaurants within 5 minutes. A large supermarket 10 minutes away too. Air conditioning throughout the villa and a lovely terrace round the large pool. Nice BBQ which we used and eat on the rooftop terrace. Nice shaded parking too.
