We loved the hotel, the location of the hotel, the superfriendly owners, the breakfast, the service, the cleanliness and the environment (the gorge and mountains are very nice)! We had a lovely stay and definately recommend this hotel!!!

Giancarlo and his wife are fantastic hosts in all regards! Civitas is a fascinatingly place with an incredible history of Greek-Albanians who settled there in the 1000's fleeing from the Ottomans, and still speak their Albanian dialect and keep the old culture alive. Giancarlo took so much time to explain it all to me and answer all my questions. The room was charming with a great view of the mountains. The breakfast was over-the-top, including great pastries, and breads, cooked-to-order eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, and wonderful cheeses and tomatoes. Fabulous location; the inn opens to a plaza that looks over the stunning Raganello Gorge and the old Roman road including the Devil's Bridge. Easy walking distance to village and restaurants.

It was all great. Bed a little soft for me, but most probably wouldn't mind.

Quiet location on the edge of town, yet walkable from the center. Very near walking paths and viewpoints of the gorge. The breakfast items were fresh or freshly-made, and quite plentiful. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

The A/C was struggling to keep the room comfortable.

Well, everything that has been written before is true :) Gianluca and Ewa are both such lovely, kind and caring people and therefore great hosts! We enjoyed the wonderful belvedere and the plentiful, delicious breakfast, and of course Civita itself is really wonderful little town, gem of Pollino. There is nothing else to add :) great place- GO! Grazie!
