Alles bestens!

The B&B guesthouse was a great experience. We were greeted warmly by Selay who promptly showed us our accommodation, provided us with a beverage, and told us about the property and city sights. She is a gem…very artistic and expressive, she made our stay excellent.

Selay is a wonderful and welcoming host. It was lovely to stay in this beautiful traditional Cypriot house in old Nicosia. We only stayed for one night and wish it had been for longer. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this home from home. Thanks for everything!

Nice and enjoyable place with a good breakfast. Lovely people taking care of you.
Location is two blocks behind the main street and feels a kind of sixties

It’s a genuine traditional property that has been nicely upgraded but keeps its traditional feel. it is a short walk from Ledra crossing point, through the familiar run down buildings lining the streets. But getting there is straightforward and safe and there is a nice welcome.

Such a wonderful experience staying in this authentically refurbished home. The place itself was beautiful, comfortable and ideally located. There's a lovely courtyard in which to relax, and access to a kitchen for water, tea and coffee anytime and use of the fridge.
The owner is so friendly and helpful, it's really like being part of the family. I was travelling alone and had no problems crossing the border in Nicosia. I was given a helpful map with suggestions of what to see and where to eat - all of which I took.
Absolute gem of a place.
The fact I only had one night.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms smell of lavender. The sockets used in Cyprus are different, but there are converters in the rooms. Ms. Selay is very caring and helpful. It helps you with everything you need.
If you are going to stay in a single bed room, the beds are a bit small and noisy, but comfortable.

A beutifully decorated and welcoming guest house tucked away in a quiet street in North Nicosia. Less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of town and the border crossing. I was given a friendly welcome by the proprieter, who gave me excellent reccomendations of what to see and which restaraurants to visit. By far the best accomodation I stayed in during 10 days in Northern Cyprus.
Nothing - everything was great

The Guesthouse is super nice. Selay is such a friendly host. The room and the whole house is decorated very lovely and there is no detail missing. We loved the vegetarian breakfast with lots of variety and fresh orange juice. Selay gave is recommendations about what to see and visit in the area. We would def. recommend this guesthouse! Thank you, Michael & Yamuna

We loved our stay especially because of the place itself, the owner and the staff. The breakfast was great too. It was easy to go around yet it was not noisy at night. Our holidays were just perfect because we got the tips where to go and what to see, the owner even walked with us twice to the places we had to take a bus, really helpful and hospitable.

Everything - check-in was very smooth, the hotel is a beautifully renovated home that will transport you to a different time, and for breakfast I had one of the most impressive selection of home made jams. Also, I had one of the best sleeps under a handmade duvet.
Nothing - I will be back.

I don't like larger hotels and hotel chaines as they are impersonal. But I love small individual hotels - and Gul Hanim Guesthouse is definetely a place to love!
Room is lovely decorated, bed was comfy. Nice little courtyard, breakfast good (a huge choice of jams).
Very, very helpful owner. She gave me a lot of recommendations for a sightseeing tour of North-Nicosia and even walked with me to the place for the dolmus to Girne/Kyrenia to make sure, that I have a good onward journey.
Location of the guesthouse is at a small street close to Girne gate and it is a good base for exploring North-Nicosia.
Everything was perfect.

Unique renovated traditional house! Very friendly host, clean room, tasty fresh breakfast. This is the place if you stay in Nicosia.

This is a little oasis. Very pretty courtyard garden with lots of lovely plants. Rooms are very clean and smell amazing. Very rustic and a delightful place to stay. Selay was so welcoming, a truly lovely person who welcomes you into what was her grandmothers house which she has renovated with love and care. BrEakfast is a selection of cheeses, we had eggs and toast. Every attention was given to us while we stayed. This is truly a hidden gem and well worth staying at, nicer than the predictable big hotels as it is peaceful and calm.
Nothing really, we knew it would be a small quiet place which is what we wanted for just the one night as we had been to Kyrenia and were on our way home to the south.
4.8
it is a beautifully resorted house and the love and care undertaken is reflected in, not only the rooms, garden, kitchen, but also in the warm welcome you receive: everything was lovely and homely and wish we could have stayed longer
nothing!

Suli was a amazing host. She gave us such a warm informative welcome. She is a local girl who loves and is passionate about her country.
The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of local dishes. Also just your English breakfast if preferred.
The location is great for visting Lefkosia. A 2 minute walk from Kyrenia Gate and buses to Farmagusta and Kyrenia.
The whole hotel was clean comfortable and traditional.
So close to pedestrian checkpoint border crossing and easy to cross.
I think we should have stayed longer and explored the country from Gul Hanim.

Selay, the owner, was exceptionally helpful. She collected us from and took as back to the border crossing point, she recommended restaurants and told us about the situation in Northern Cyprus. The breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly pressed orange juice.
The three room guest house is typical of the area and was restored in a sensitive way by Selay.
Nothing at all was too much trouble for Selay.
Everything was according to the description, and according to our expectations.

Owner she was great

A lovely stay in this cosy hideaway among the narrow streets of the old town. The house is only a short walking distance to all points of interest within the city centre. The owner Selay was immediately responsive to any queries we had before we arrived. Highly recommended. Thank you.
