Love Kinich, been here many times, staff is lovely!! Great location!

The ceiling fans have been removed which had I known in advance wouldn’t have stayed. They’ve always had fans in past but no more. Sadly the fans have been replaced with light fixtures. Therefore had to turn the A/C down much lower than normally would. Big mistake in my opinion to remove fans in a tropical climate

Le staff semblait assez sympa dans l’ensemble au départ et la chambre était grande et agréable. J’ai également trouvé que c’était propre et bien situé (pratique pour rejoindre les plages et les restaurants).

Par contre, il y a quelques bémols : du bruit (le personnel de l’hôtel était bruyant en journée une fois à 9h00 du matin ; les gens criaient à la réception, pas moyen de faire une sieste ou une grasse matinée !), les portes qui claquent le matin, le petit-déjeuner super industriel et hyper mauvais (c’est la première fois en 3 mois de voyage que je passe le petit-déjeuner pour aller manger ailleurs), l’odeur d’essence dans les corridors à cause des voitures de golf qu’on loue en bas, etc. Bref, le prix est trop élevé pour ce que c’est, mais c’est le cas sur l’ensemble de l’île ! En résumé, même si ce n’était pas un hôtel horrible, je ne conseillerais pas d’y séjourner. Il y en a de meilleurs avec un rapport qualité-prix plus intéressant.

the location was great and the staff really helpful. the room pictures are accurate. The bed is really comfortable, AC. is working properly.

internet is extremely bad l. the “Cafeteria” is not well maintained.

fake photos of the room, there wasn’t much to like. The room doesn’t looks like the photo at all. it’s not even a motel. The electricity hardly worked and was turning off all the time, they gave us candles. the room looked horrible but it was clean. There was no hot water after 2 minutes of use. The place is noisy day and night. during the day they use it as a golf car rental and it’s noisy with a smell of gas. At night the team watch TV loudly. Most of them don’t speak English.

We paid 142 a night for a place with weak wi fi, electricity that went off all the time, noise day and night no hot water, broken door, mold at the shower and I couldn’t even complain or move out cause they didn’t spoke English and wasn’t even there half of the time.

Room that looked out on builing sites and smell of fumes from the carts. The room was over valued.

location right in the heart of Playa Norte. The room was nice and clean. The outside noise was minimal

Hotel Kinich also is a major renter of golf carts and the hotel enterance and lobby are crowded in the morning with renters and carts. It can be hard to come and go through that area. Hotel staff are not real good at tourist information.

The location is perfect however, this is not a 4-att star hotell as Booking.com claims. Fortunately 4 stars wasn’t expected since bookings star-ratings can rarely to be trusted. Room was big and clean, a bit dated. Don’t expect more than a fresh and clean room in a smaller hotel that only offers rooms.

the apartment is beautiful and well decorated, secluded balcony, spacious and the staff is lovely and super helpful (though i have to say i spoke Spanish with them). got sick one night they got me a doctor to come up to my room in half an hour. I loved this hotel! great location too

I stayed in the suite on the top floor ( no elevator). It was spacious and light, had a great bedroom with a very big comfortable bed, a nice living room wit a comfy sofa, kitchen and balcony. I could sit on the balcony in the sun or under the stars and I could see the ocean. The shower had good pressure and hot water 24 hours. A/C worked great and there were also ceiling fans. I was there for 2 nights recovering from jet lag before heading off to business meetings in the area so it was perfect, I had space to rest and work, the WiFi was fast in the bedroom and slower in the living room but I managed. I was alone on the top floor so it was quiet. Nice decor. The location is excellent, 3 minutes walk from the ferry, 1 block from the beach and 1 block from downtown shopping area. I loved it

A note about cleanliness, I had to wash the utensils , plates and cups before use. The toilet flush pressure was very low, making it hard to flush properly. The kitchen looked very nice, big fridge and new appliances, a beautiful table set up with plates and wine glasses, but there was 1 small knife only, no spoons, no pans, only two very small pots. If someone wanted to make a proper meal they couldn’t . Other than that everything was truly great

Cons outway pros, however bed was comfortable and location was central.

Room was not up to the same standard of cleanliness as anywhere else we stayed in Mexico. Fridge was dirty, under bed was dirty, ants in bathroom and beside sink area in bedroom. No hot water for duration of stay. Wifi is terrible. No beach towels either day. Was woken up at 7:20 am in morning due to argument in reception. On checkout I explained the issues we had with the room and understandably a partial discount couldn’t be given but I did not get a word of an apology for any of the many issues. This hotel is overpriced for what they are offering. Stayed in cheaper, better hotel in Isla Mujeres before staying here.
