Apartment G1-18 at Résidence les chalets du Galibier Piscine Sauna Hammam WIFI Review The booking.com advert states there is a concierge service with a private check in, as there were no joining instructions supplied by the owner we assumed that the reception at the complex would have the keys, I wish i would have checked beforehand because they didn’t. The reception knew nothing of our booking as the studio apartment as it is not managed by them, The receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and then just ignored us. We checked the booking details and it actually stated that someone would meet us at reception between 1600-1700, this did not happen. After several phone calls and texts, we found we had to get back in the car and go and find Sam’s Boutique in the town. When I finally found Sam’s Boutique it is just a small shop. They manage the apartment for the owner. Why the owner did not send us the different key pickup info is simply a mystery, extremely unprofessional and very annoying after a 9 hour drive. The manager handed me the keys and a info pack, the limited info in it stated it was necessary to pick up the keys at Sam's Boutique, a bit late now mate. It took nearly 2 hours from when we first arrived at the complex to gaining entry.

Did not like much The legally required smoke alarm in the apartment had been removed from the wall, it had been put in a bathroom cabinet and was not working, this totally contravenes French law and needs sorting out immediately. There was no internet service, as it appeared the owner of the apartment had switched the service off, although the advert say free internet everywhere, I asked him repeatedly to switch it on, he ignored all my requests, hope he feel’s good about saving €20-30 per month. He actually sent me an email to stop bothering him about a sevice we had paid for. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, we felt we were left in the position that we could

Location was super, balcony was great and spacious, kitchen was well equipped.

Only complaint is that the place could have been slightly cleaner, we found a few hairs on one of the beds. Otherwise cleanliness of kitchen and bathroom was fine. Also finding parking on the property was tricky, and the sauna hammam were out of action all week.
