Lovely place to stay for a getaway. Everything was clean when we arrived. Dishes were provided if needed, washer & dryer was also provided. Overall everything was nice.

This house was great. The layout and location can't be beat. However, it was very dirty. The sinks in the master bedroom were clogged, and the dishwasher was full of dirty dished upon our arrival. There were dirty BBQ utensils outside, and crumbs/dirt in the couches and on all the floors. This could be a great rental if it was taken care of properly.

The house set up was perfect for our large group of two families. The kids had their own room next to the master. The deck was beautiful, it's in a quiet neighborhood perfect for walks. The only main issue is that when they say no noise after 10pm they mean it. The neighbor next door made it known when it was after 10 by flashing us with lights when we were quietly sitting outside on the edge of the mountain talking. He stated his room is tight next door to the back patio and that the noise carries. Its a little ridiculous that you aren't even able to be outside after 10pm in the summertime, that was the only negative.
The house has a cool game room downstairs that was a lot of fun to hang out in.

This cabin was beautiful with rock floors. We loved how there was no carpet. Each room was very spacious. Bathrooms very beautiful. It was very convenient to have an extra refrigerator in the laudry room for extra space. The kitchen was not very equipped with a lot of gadgets, bowls, etc. We had to go to store to purchase a can opener cuz the one they had was broken. Also the spatulas were not sturdy and they do not have grilling tools. Good thing we brought ours. The deck had plenty of room from bottom, middle and top. Pool table with a sliding door for outdoors access was a hit for the family. Although the cue sticks were not functional as the tip was worn off and there was no chalk. It's a very short drive into town. The view of the mountains was just breathtaking with the sound of the waterfall. We love to hike and explore so we walked down to find Musick Falls. An absolutely beauty of a water fall. Overall it was a great experience and our family loved it.

We always appreciate homeowners opening up their home to our family. This home was conveniently located near town in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The view is very beautiful!!
There was plenty of space for us to spread out in the 3 level home. The only complaint I have is that is was not cleaned very well!

But we have a few things we would like to cal to your attention! The pictures on the Vacassa app are not the same as in person. The cabin is waaaay smaller in person but its still very nice. This house is very spacious and comes with everything you need for cooking. However, it does not have a toaster so we used the oven to toast bagels, english muffins, etc.
The house was clean and was stocked with linens and towels.
The views are amazing, however you can see all the devastation to the forest from the fire that ravaged through the area recently. The master bed and two of the four queen beds in the guest room were comfortable. The bed on the main floor and in the bedroom off the game room were very uncomfortable, rock hard. All of the bathrooms were good size and functioning.
Please note: there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. After being on the lake all day you come back to a hot house! We contacted Vacasa and they did immediately provide us with some box fans for the rooms. Their prompt response was greatly appreciated. :) Several window screens need to be fixed. There are huge holes in them or the windows don't have screens at all. Being that the house needs to cool down, you need to open the windows and with damaged/no screens several bugs get in. Unfortunately we had to close a lot of the windows due to this issue.
We did speak with the next door neighbor, who is a full time resident, and it is requested that all noise be calmed down by 10:00 p.m. We did comply by all of us coming in from the outside deck at 10:00 p.m. Everyone in the neighborhood keeps their windows open at night (due to lack of AC) and the noise travels quickly and is very loud.
If you have a boat - Due to the low lake levels, there are several rocks in the lake that are not marked by the Sheriff's Department as hazardous. Our boat was subsequently damaged and we had to make a police report for insurance purposes. Sadly our trip was cut short. Please beware!!!

We had an amazing time! The home had plenty of room and a lot of amenities. However, I didn’t read the information about it being right next to a cliff. It’s not very child friendly but our kiddos still did fine. The house is beautiful we would definitely go back.

This cabin was beautiful, clean and in the perfect location. We had three small families vacationing together and there was plenty of room. About 20 min from China Peak and 5 min from stores and great restaurants. We will definitely be renting this home again.

This is the our third stay at this beautiful house. We're sad and disappointed that this house is lacking in upkeep. For example, in 2018, we brought to the attention of property manager that the master bedroom bathroom pocket door did not function at all and needed repair. We also advised them that the toilet paper holder was loose.
This year, over Thanksgiving, we found the same deficiencies still existed. The pocket door still did not work. Someone had patched the bathroom wall (but not painted where they spackled) but had not installed a holder.
Also, we were disappointed that there were only four beverage glasses and NO wine or champagne glasses in a house that sleeps 12.
We called VACASA to ask for drinking and wine glasses. We were advised that the local employee would respond: we did not hear anything before we left.
The house has a nice kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of seating and a big two car garage. With proper attention, this house could return to its previous 5 star rating.

Beautiful property with a gorgeous view, but not a house that should be up for a rental due to not being able to enjoy the outdoors because of the neighbors complaining.

Amazing place to stay, communication could be better
Amazing place to stay. Gorgeous views. Everything except the grill was cleaned. Grill got on fire because of the grease that has not been cleaned well. Property manager was hard to reach.

This was a great property, the inside designs and styles was beautiful along with the view from the back, only thing I recommend is fixing the water drainage for all the sinks. But overall this was a great place!

Beautiful & Breathtaking Mountain Getaway
The stay at this property was fabulous. The cabin was clean, welcoming, and had all the essentials to make our stay fantastic. Beautiful views of the Sierra’s... breathtaking sunset view and so much space in the cabin for the whole family! Great for a large group, no one felt cramped and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in! Just an FYI - A LOT OF stairs. If you have difficulty with mobility I would suggest looking for a different place each space in the house requires a step down or up stairs. This didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay, just wanted to make note of that.
Overall, i look forward to returning to this property!! Such an amazing experience, nothing negative at all.

Great family space
We stayed here before the Christmas holiday with our extended family. The bedrooms were all great for space. However, the main floor bed (right off the front door) was very wobbly and rock hard. These guests were not happy!
The master bedroom and additional rooms were great and spacious. The host provided plenty of towels and supplies. We cooked A LOT and the kitchen had a lot of equipment and space. We used the island and kitchen table constantly. The view was fantastic and we loved all the outdoor space as it was not that cold so we were outside a lot. The game room was a lot of fun and got used for pool every day. Next time we just hope for snow!

Incredible location with outstanding views!
You can't beat the view from this location. Nestled against a huge granite cliff you can see gorgeous views and breathe-taking sunsets. The house has three decks and swing out back from ensuring you get to take in the majesty of this location. Located just 5 minutes for the beauty of Shaver Lake, you are constantly in an outdoor paradise. The house has tons of space and laid out perfectly. Great for a family trip or just a quit romantic getaway. Loved it!

great house for a fun getaway
The house was lovely and we had a great visit. We did not manage to figure out how to get the TV working in the living room but did not bother to call for help as it wasn't a priority with so many other things to do around the area. We loved the swing seat in the backyard, enjoyed grilling, and the sunsets were spectacular. The kitchen is big and provided lots of cabinet space. The master bedroom is spacious with a great big tub in the bathroom and I loved reading on the deck. Would definitely stay here again.
