Dinner

I stayed in a beautiful cabin room with a balcony overlooking a small pond. There is a great set of hiking trails nearby. Also, there are a very good restaurant and small shop on the premises. Had a wonderful trout dinner there. Wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Took a wonderful Quetzal tour early in the morning. Saw lots of Quetzals, guide was great.

A small heater was provided for the room. It was not adequate as the room was quite cool in the early morning.

Beautiful hotel with nice cottages around a little lake. Really proper, large and high rooms with a nice bathroom and really warm showers. Staff very nice and helpful, organized us a fantastic Quetzal Tour. tasty dinner and delicious breakfast.

not the hotel‘s fault, but due to the heavy rain we could not use the canoe on the little lake and the trails around the hotel.

Breakfast was amazing! The trails and the lake are very very pretty. The staff is friendly. Location is great!

- The bed was kind of small and the mattress was a little too soft. - Our shower was accessible which is great but the water kept coming out and going everywhere on the bathroom so it got a little messy at one point. - I am very sensible to cold and so I wanted to keep my room all warm and toasty after going hiking. The first night we ran out of firewood at 9pm and the front desk was already closed and the second night we ran out at 8pm. We asked for more wood and the front desk said they did not have any more. - No phone to communicate with front desk and no cellphone signal. Every time we needed something for our room we had to go out into the cold to request it. - No curtain on top window. At 6am the sun came up and our room got very bright and so it was not possible to sleep in.

Loved the trails and the garden. Food was pretty good.

Bed was rock hard.
