It was terrible - we had difficulty breathing immediately upon entering the property and had to leave. We spent the first.night at the Hilton and then found other accommodation for the remainder of our stay. We were unable to stay because of the air quality.

We had a great time despite being in Barbados when the Pandemic hit! Gemma was a pleasure to communicate with from day one. Answered all of my questions and always very prompt. Brian was amazing and very helpful when we checked in and throughout our stay. Being on the main floor was so convenient with two young kids being close to the pool was nice and convenient. The condo had everything we needed and was in close proximity to supermarkets etc. The buses can get a bit loud during day but that was to be expected. We would love to visit Lantana again in the future. Thanks Gemma and Brian!!

We had a few small issues but the property manager was very accessible and helpful. Overall the unit could use some refreshing but we loved the property and the area. We felt very safe.

In desperate need of refurb.. when we arrived the dishwasher wasn’t working .. luckily the property manager managed to get the owner to purchase a new one which came the 2nd week .. there was power points in the kitchen not working so had to put the kettle on top of the microwave to boil ( which broke so had to wait for new one ) which was very dangerous when you have children 👶 door handle in bedroom hanging off curtains with hooks missing so they was hanging down .. clothes rack on patio full of rust .. they did provide new one I asked Gemma when she had last visited the property and she said she just rented it ... to be honest she really tried her best Think owners need to visit 😩

I LOVED it! Such a nice, clean condo with a beautiful, private outdoor space right next to the pool. A great central location for exploring the island. Some people have mentioned the road noise, yes there is some but it’s mostly the buses which is a part of Barbadian culture! From inside with doors closed you can’t hear it. It did not effect our great nights sleep!

Had a great 3 week stay here with family. The apartment was clean and tidy. Property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. Road was noisy but with widows and doors closed, noise was minimal.

The apartment was great, location was handy for the west coast of the island, everywhere was accessible! Apartment was clean and tidy with everything you needed and more! Traffic was a little noisy but certainly didn’t affect the holiday in any way!

The booking process was simple, Gemma sent detailed emails and Brian was waiting to welcome everyone. The apartment was spacious and homely, the noise is bareable and does not affect sleeping, the only problem was the dishwasher smell and the small leak but otherwise no problems and would return. The pictures of the villa and scenery, cannot fully capture how amazing this place is! Gemma is great, and very patient. He took time to answer all of my questions, and was always courteous and welcoming. He made the reservation process simple and quick. Brian was great to work with as well. He was waiting in the guard building when we arrived. Brian provided the keys, and tour of the villa. He was also very responsive in assisting our group. The villa was adequately furnished for our visit, and included access to additional linens. The direct pool to patio access is a plus! Additionally, the villa is located (walking distance) across the street from a beach, and a short (driving) distance from Massey's Supermarket. The full sized fridge, stove and oven enable you to cook your own meals, if you choose to do so. The washer and dryer are a plus as well. Finally, I became nervous while reading the prior comments about sound of the buses. The sound is quite manageable, and having air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms offset the noise. Having cool air in the main area is a commodity, as some of the other villas do not have air conditioning in their common areas. We loved this place, and will definitely stay here again!

Friendly clean apartment with everything working well.only one negative the noise from the road special the busses.

I loved it here unfortunately we experienced some bad weather and when we were in the tv channel was not always in English so a bit of a pain with the kids but the apartment has all the latest facilities and the guy that meets you Brian is really friendly can't fault the apartment just shame about the weather

We loved our stay. The kids loved the pool and it was very convenient to catch a bus to go anywhere across the island. Having my morning coffee on the veranda looking out at the swaying coconut trees with the Caribbean sea in the background was some of my best moments. The washer and dryer was in very good condition and so convenient to have in the condo. The only down side would be that the bathrooms could use a refresh and update and the kitchen would benefit from some better pots, frying pans and baking dishes. Barbados is expensive for food so cooking at the condo is a must. Gemma is a real Gem (pun intended) and was very accommodating for all of our needs. Brian greeted us at the condo and gave us good advice on where to go and what to do. Overall, it was a fabulous experience. If you are thinking of coming to Barbados and you enjoy feeling like you are on a resort but still want to have the freedom to travel and shop at local markets to buy food and enjoy a local Barbadian experience then you should stay here at Lantana. We had a wonderful two weeks holiday, the apartment was perfectly located and had everything we needed. Being on the ground floor gave us direct access to the pool, easy for nipping in and out of the apartment, and ideal if you have children, but also being on the end we were sheltered by the garden, unlike other apartments, so other guests could not sit directly in front of our patio. The lounge and master bedroom had bi-folding doors that opened out on to the spacious patio where we ate our meals, relaxed with drinks, or just sheltered from the midday sun snoozing! The apartment is very spacious, home from home, the kitchen is well equipped including a large fridge-freezer with ice machine which kept us in a constant supply of ice for our evening drinks! We slept well in the comfortable bed, all the rooms had air-conditioning, plus fans, and the bathrooms had good powerful showers. Plenty of linen and towels were provided, including beach towels. We spent many evenings at John Moores Rum Shack (5 mins walk), watching the sun set. Just next to John Moores is a small fish market where we'd pick up flying fish for dinner. Yes, the apartment block is near the road, and this is ideal if you don't have a car as the bus stop is just outside, they are regular and cheap to use so it's easy to get around the island. Obviously there is some traffic noise but it didn't bother us and at night the traffic eased off and did not disturb our sleep. If we return to Barbados we would definitely be looking to stay here again.

Stayed one week in this condo and it was certainly adequate . The size was perfect and the beds comfy. However the road noise was awful. After reading previous reviews I was expecting and prepared (I thought) for it to be loud but it was very bad! The condo is truly right at the road, right beside a bus stop! The convenience of the bus stop came second to the annoyance of the noise! The condo itself is obviously a rental property as shown by it's need for freshening up. A coat of paint, black out curtains and attention to tired appliances and furniture would do wonders! Gemma and Brian were fabulous to work with and certainly appreciated them both! Would I stay there again???? Unfortunately not.

'My family and I spent 11 days at Lantana and we had a fantastic time! We have visited Barbados on a number of occasions as we have relatives however being a larger party this time we needed our own accommodation. Waking up on the first morning and having breakfast, then lunch and later dinner on the patio at Lantana was an amazing experience and we made the most of it. Our grand-daughter loved the pool - what a great place. We had transport but also used the buses which were frequent and easy to use. We will return!'

We had a lovely holiday at Lantana. The apartment was fantastic and everything was as described. Had everything we needed to cook and we made dinner almost every night. Beds were very comfortable and the apartment was clean and beautifully decorated. Wi-fi worked really well, no problems at all. It was spacious enough for the four of us and we loved that it was literally steps from the lovely pool. There weren't too many people staying at Lantana when we were there so it was very peaceful and the pool area was never too crowded. The location of the apartment was nice, it was close to a beautiful beach but there weren't too many restaurants or shops nearby. Didn't bother us as we had a car but would have been a problem without it. The only thing we didn't like was the road in front of the building as it was very noisy. Doesn't bother when you are inside but sitting outside it is annoying at times. Bryan, who was there to welcome us, was very friendly and nice. All in all a lovely experience. We would definately recommend staying at Lantana. It was great value for the money. Thank you!

Lovely clean apartment, everything you need for a self catered relaxed holiday, easy access to great pool. On the road (noisy when sat out on terrace, but cant hear it inside)Bus stop right outside, beach just across the road, (but be careful crossing on the bend, as cars do speed) had problems with internet & phone not working in first week, but Brian went out of his way to get this sorted out for us, he was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our 3 week holiday, & met some great people, Thankyou Brian & Coleen, Barry & Julie for everything you did for us.

amazing value for money. The apartment is right next to the road, as are a lot of property on the west coast, so you do get some noise and to be honest it did not bother us, in fact an added bonus because the bus stop is right next to the apartment. The apartment I can not fault at all, very clean and extremely well equipped. The pool is beautiful and plenty of tables, chairs and sun loungers around it. I have stayed at Port st Charles and Almond beach on the west coast, Silver sands, Accra beach and Turtle beach on the south coast all fabulous in their own way but for self catering you can not beat this apartment. I have already booked it for next year and hope to return to this apartment time and time again.

This apartment is in the front block which is one of the closest to the main road and yes, there is road noise and the local yellow buses are notorious throughout Barbados for tearing around without silencers (mufflers if you are from USA). However, this apartment offers stupendous value for money compared with anything else on this stretch of the famously expensive platinum coast. Whilst the road noise can be a distraction it is not the major issue that a previous reviewer has intimated. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and clean and the location is just perfect. it is a short stroll to the beach and ideally situated between the many facilities that Holetown and Speightstown have to offer. Ideally you would need a hire car as the nearest restaurants and shops etc are a bit too far to walk (apart from the John Moores bar which is a local rumshack and ideal for immersing yourself in Bajan culture) but if you don't want to drive, the local buses are frequent and very cheap. Whilst we were there we spoke to several other holidaymakers who were renting in the same block and without exception they all accepted the road noise with a shrug of the shoulders and commented favourably about the overall quality and location of the accommodation. This apartment is terrific and in my opinion offers the opportunity of experiencing the most exclusive and expensive part of Barbados at a bargain price. It is somewhere we would love to return to in the future.

We have just returned from your gorgeous apartment and had the most amazing holiday. The apartment provided the perfect base for our time in Barbados. It was exceptionally clean, had everything we could have needed and was in the perfect location. We were met by Brian who provided all the information we needed for both the apartment and the local area. (There were no instruction manuals provided, however, everything was very straightforward to work and we didn't experience any problems in this respect. We were able to connect to the free Wi-Fi and only experienced a couple of times when reception was intermittent). The apartment is situated next to the coastal road providing excellent access for the bus stops in both directions, with Holetown and Speightstown both 10 mins away and beautiful beaches just a stone's throw away. The apartment is ideally located with immediate access to the gorgeous pool area, again very clean with ample sunloungers/parasols etc. Security an added extra although we never felt that we needed it. We hope to return next year and are already checking availability for your apartment. Thank you.
