Very modern small boutique hotel with a view of the sea right on the coast, close to the centre of Hermanus. Stan were very welcoming. Breakfast excellent. Great place to stay either for the coast of to visit the Boland.

The team were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The service was great. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, with a good selection.

Just a minor point (although it didn't spoil our stay). Having coffee facilities outside the room didn't work for me as it was a little noisy.

Beautiful boutique style hotel. The staff was very welcoming and always willing to assist. The breakfast was extremely good, with great coffee and a nice setting. The pool area is small but all that you need to cool off and relax by the pool. The room was very nice: comfortable, spacious and luxurious; with a coffee, tea and fridge station outside the room servicing 3 adjacent rooms. I would suggest to have a marker pen available to mark the stuff that you put into the communal fridge.

Although our view of the ocean was fantastic, our balcony was very close to the street (2nd floor) - but it was expected. I would book 3rd floor in future, as that balcony is a bit further removed from being visible from the street. The only room cleaning service that we received in a 4 day stay was having the bed made. No vacuuming or other cleaning was done. Room service for dinner options were very limited and more limited than the website or the printed menu in reception indicated.

Absolutely Everything!! We have stayed there every Dec/ Jan for the last 4 years. Tried one or 2 other places at different times but will keep goung there. Love it.

On this particular visit I was under the weather from the day one of my stay in Hermanus so I really appreciated being checked in 2 hours early . One on Marine has a very homely feel to it and I was able to rest up and enjoy the views from my room ! The staff were very attentive but didn’t intrude … just what I needed. A special shout out to Gilbert , such an unassuming person who is an absolute star . Looking forward to returning next month ! Many thanks .

Gilbert, Suki and all the staff made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough to make our stay special. If we're lucky enough to come to Hermanus again we will definitely stay here.

The staff were exceptional . Friendly and helpful. We liked the coffee station on the floor and the afternoon tea and cake was a nice touch. The complementary bottle of wine for our anniversary was a nice touch. It was easy to rent bicycles and to explore the town and local beaches.

Lovely boutique hotel right next to the Hermanus centre! The room has amazing sea views with a nice balcony and all the necessary amenities. Everything is clean, fresh and well thought! The lovely manager, Gilbert, made our stay even more enjoyable thanks to his help and friendliness !! The breakfast is great

We received a very warm welcome from Byron and Gilbert on the Sunday that we arrived. We enjoyed a slice of the cake-of-the-day and tea at the pool terrace, and a G&T at the fireplace in the early evening. My Mom and I were made to feel very much at home, and the staff went out of their way to cater for our needs, and to enquire whether we were comfortable. The room was very clean, with fresh and modern decor. The beds were comfortable, with good quality linen (although I found the pillows to be a bit hard). We had a good view over the ocean.

There was a change in the reception staff on the Monday after breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not find the staff on duty on Monday to be very professional (although they were very friendly). The standard of service on the Monday was not consistent with a five star rated boutique hotel. We did not receive the same treatment, comforts or consideration that were offered over the weekend.
