The location was wonderful. If you are expecting a five star resort and all the amenities move on but we had a half mile of beach to ourselves often where we were outnumbered by the Pelicans. Lots of seating and fantastic hosts. It’s pretty basic for North American standards but to us that’s the charm. Lovely family. Would definitely repeat.

Nothing to do with the house but the power is spotty. They did have a generator and were very good about starting it the moment they sensed and outage but it could only cover the water pumps (so you had water for flushing toilets and cooking (gas stoves)).

That the house was directly at the beach.

The long distance to Bocas Town because of the roadwork, and the reccomandation of taxi driver Joel. He stood us up and left us for 2,5 hours in Bocas Town. So we were forced to pay for a taxi that was overpriced. And we were back at home at 01:00AM instead of 10:00PM.

Nice and friendly hosts and house cat. Lovely beach. We were lucky to meet a lovely guest who was staying in the property too. The atmosphere of the whole house was very welcoming and chill. We loved seeing mangoes, avocadoes and coconuts in the garden! These are fruit that had fallen from the trees and were amazing to see. If you plan to have a quiet stay and not have regular visits to Bocas town, this is a great place to stay. It's near star beach too. But if you have plans to explore other islands, then the frequent bus travel to Bocas may be hard. The tap water is not drinkable in Bocas. The hosts had graciously supplied drinking water for everybody. The hosts also asked us if we wanted them to buy us anything from the town (as it's rather far away) and they bought some groceries for us. :)

We saw a couple of cockroaches at night in the kitchen. There seemed to be an issue with the hot water in our room. The first night, the hot water finished fast and the third (last) night, we just had the cold water. The water wasn't too cold so we were able have a quick shower. We had heard from another person that not everywhere in Panama has hot water.

Best place, away from the crowds, has everything you need!

Located near the most spectacular beach - Starfish beach. Nice house with common kitchen and beautiful garden right on the beach. A bus from the Colon costs 2,5 dollars, on every hour (or half hour on weekends)

The accommodation is located in Bocas Brava, it is a very quiet place. The hosts are very pleasant and nice people. There is an excellent restaurant about 400m from the house. The house is right by the beach. The rooms are clean and the shared kitchen is fully equipped. I highly recommend this accommodation.
