I love the Hermanus..shops were scenic locations nearby
When we entered the flat there was a mold smell ..we had to open windows and go buy air freshers.this smell was in the bedding etc we ended up buying blankets to sleep under as well.The beds were so uncomfortable and my parents ended up switching rooms halfway thru the stay.The barn door although a beautiful decor item doesn't close for the main room so no privacy.It was myself,husband and my parents and my 2 yr old son staying over,we paid for that amount of guests as well and was hoping the apartment covered that amount of ppl however making breakfast the second day into of stay horrible they had 1 small pan in the kitchen and some burnt pots ..this apartment needs serious upgrades for it to be worth the money u pay to stay there. I would definitely not be back.

Are you a low income family with young kids? Then this is for you.
Our extended family booked this place as they had a timeshare here. I would never had booked here other wise. I had a beautiful moment one night, watch the township children playing.

From the unit you can hear and see the ocean. Its a fantastic view. Its a short walk to the beach. The clubhouse has a gym and swimming pool which we enjoyed.
It is rights next to a squatter camp.

The facilities in the resort were great, a pool, tennis court, laundry, gym, bar all accessible to guests.
The unit was dirty. All the appliances in the kitchen were covered in oil as were the kitchen counters, there was black mold in the bathroom. The internal doors were dirty. the light fittings were covered in oil and dust. The complex is situated right next door to an informal settlement and the drive in does not feel safe or give you a feeling of comfort. The host did graciously offer to send a cleaner in to come and clean the unit, this was however not convenient for us and something which should have been done prior to our arrival. We were meant to stay for 3 nights and ended up leaving after 2 due to the state of the unit.

The place has lots of fun activities and it was clean. It was a lovely stay away from home.
The wifi only worked the first night but the signal in general is very bad.

The staff as well as the rest of the guests are extremely friendly. Great value for money.

The variety of things which can be done to keep one entertained. The host was in constant communication..
Apart from the wifi which was a tad bit slow nothing else was an issue.

It was self catering so we sorted ourselves. We were however extremely disappointed by the location and the neighbouring informal settlement. Made us feel restricted. We didn't go out after 5. Not even for dinner.
The apartment was located against the wall of the informal settlement... We would have preferred to be away from the entrance as to not feel like we basically had a holiday with the view of the informal settlement.

Cleanliness of property was inadequate. I went to buy clean bedding. Beds are hard. Kitchen inadequately clean. We had to clean the kettle. Kit hens has numerous stains on ot as well as cushions. Shower had to be clean before use. Number of holes in plastic tablecloth.

We were unable to enjoy the facilities, because we were there over the weekend when we had that terrible storm, we still enjoyed ourselves indoors and we were allowed to stay another night till the storm cleared at no extra cost!!
We didn't really get to see or enjoy any of the outdoor facilities because we were stuck inside whole day due to the storm

The place is beautiful and the activities is around the complex.
Security were very friendly
A walk is just 5 minutes to the beach
Restaurants are just just 5 to 10 minutes from the complex.
Gosh when we entered the apartment the house had a stuffy smell.
The bedding linen is a disaster.
They have cheap bedding linen no white bedding.
The blankets that were at the apartment are those one that are used in jail.
Only the ensuite bathroom had a hand wash and the other bathroom did not have a hand-wash.
No bathroom spray or air freshener.
No white line
Navy colour sheets no white sheets.
Cheap bedding comforters
They only provided us with a very small bottle sunlight dish wash liquid about 20ml.

The resort and close proximity to tourist attractions was nice.
The managing agent was not customer friendly. We had to contact her continually for electricity etc. We ended up having to ration electricity as we weren't sure it would last.

We loved the view, except the massive milkwood tree blocking a nice view on the right.
Place was clean, modern and beautifully set out.

The sea for view from practically eighty percent of the unit. Thee photos do no do justice this place.
Very small - but a toilet brush and some bathroom cleaning supplies. The broom broom, mop, hand broom and dust pan need to replaced.

The view was wonderful. The squash courts, gym. game room and club house was nice to have. The fact that is was self-catering
The images that show the property are different to the way the rooms are decorated. Some rooms smelt musty.

Place was affordable and comfortable, quiet and very relaxing. I liked that we had our own parking spaces and that the places were easily accessed
Apartment wasn't as clean, spider webs and area was slightly dirty, however that was not a turn off. Beach club is far from everything having to drive out each time.

The unit was in a very poor condition, old and had a terrible smell when we walked in, we then had to call and change units which was not that great either, will not be staying there again.

The unit was on the beach, very accessible, neat and clean and had the items we needed. The unit was the same as the pictures advertised on the website. the host gave clear instructions and we had no issues.
I didn't like that the price that reflects on booking.com didn't confirm there would be an additional breakage fee of R600 that would only be paid back after 10 days. It should state that clearly before you book and not via an SMS after you have booked and paid, n then later show as an amount outstanding. The amounts should be transparent not with hidden fees afterwards.

The location once you are inside. The apartment has uninterrupted views of the ocean and we spotted whales and dolphins from inside.
Fixtures and fittings are outdated and rusted. Throw Blankets don't smell nice at all. Microwave works but is hanging on for dear life. The apartment needs a deep clean.
