The property is located on a lovely sand beach, with views that stretch for miles and miles. It is clean, inviting, and the staff are very friendly. I like that you can access your room directly from the parking garage, and that it is possible to enjoy the spa on both your arrival and departure day. The dining package was fantastic, with plenty of delicious food and beverage choices. The balcony overlooking the sea was also fantastic, and I look forward to coming here again when the weather is warm.

While the hotel itself is absolutely lovely, and the staff are very friendly, there is an element of professionalism that is absolutely lacking for a spa resort of this caliber. It has the potential to be a very luxurious place. Unfortunately, it is merely potential. For example, while the food and dining package was a brilliant feature, the wait staff are not at all properly trained to serve in a luxury dining establishment. There are no systems in place for receiving and seating guests, taking orders, and making sure that guest needs are met. When we arrived in the dining room, no one greeted us, or told us where we could sit. We were left at a table for more than 20 minutes before someone came over to offer a menu. We waited another 20 minutes to order a drink. And throughout the entire meal, we never really knew who our server was because each time someone different would come to the table. The hygiene practices and handling of food is also a serious issue. At one point, our waitress literally put her bare hands on my food, touching the food items, in order to describe what each item on the plate was. It wasn't a complicated dish in any way. It was basically a three part dessert, that required no explanation whatsoever---and I assure you, it was 100% unnecessary to touch my food. And unfortunately, it is not only a problem in the restaurant area. Another example was in the evening, while we were laying by the indoor pool area. The sun was setting and it was so relaxing. There was a piano player and candles were lit. It was absolutely perfect in every way. Until someone from the spa staff decided that it was time to clean up. From one second to the next, the bright overhead lights were turned on, all candles blown out, and she began to gather the candle holders clanking the glass loudly together - completely ruining any chance of serenity. At first, my husband and I thought the pool area must be closing. But that was not the case at all.
