Irida beachfront Villa for 12 next to all amenities
Villa Irida es una hermosa villa frente al mar, junto a la popular playa de arena de la ciudad de Rethymno. Esta fantástica villa moderna ofrece una alta calidad en diseño, electrodomésticos y muebles. Puede acomodar fácilmente hasta 12 personas. Se encuentra justo en la playa de la ciudad de Rethymno, a unos 3 km del centro, al lado de todos los servicios que ofrece la zona, como tabernas, bares, restaurantes y supermercados. La villa consta de 3 niveles.
En la planta baja hay un salón comedor, una cocina abierta (totalmente equipada: microondas, tostadora, hervidor de agua, nevera, congelador, lavavajillas, horno), un dormitorio con dos camas individuales y baño con ducha / WC y un segundo Dormitorio con una cama doble. Desde este nivel, las puertas francesas conducen a una hermosa terraza cubierta con muebles de patio, junto a la piscina y vistas directas al mar de Creta y la playa. Una escalera interior de mármol conduce a la planta superior, hay 3 dormitorios más, dos de ellos con una cama doble y uno con dos camas individuales. Más adelante hay 2 duchas / WC, uno en suite en uno de los dormitorios con cama de matrimonio. Todas las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado.
En el tercer nivel (semisótano) al que se puede llegar bajando la escalera de mármol desde el nivel medio, está el sexto dormitorio con dos camas individuales y una ducha / WC y una sala de juegos con mesa de billar.
En el exterior, hay una bonita piscina de 32 metros cuadrados (4 x 8) y una pequeña área de césped, ideal para que jueguen los niños. Alrededor de la piscina, hay tumbonas y sombrillas, disponibles para tomar el sol y relajarse. No es necesario un automóvil ya que todo está alrededor y una estación de taxis está a una distancia de 50 metros. Los ni��os son bienvenidos en la villa y se puede proporcionar una silla alta y una cuna. Tenga en cuenta que el día de cambio es el sábado.

Villa is very spacious and clean, we had a group of 12 people and everything worked very well! The location of the villa was perfect, you had everything you needed with a walking distance; beach, restaurants, grocery store and other shops. With taxi you could get in to old town of Rethymno in couple of minutes.

Our family with ages ranging from 74 to 2 returned for our second stay at Villa Irida. It is a perfect place for us with plenty of space in the villa, a private pool and across the road from the beach. Bars and restaurants are close by and a cab into the town only costs €5. Supermarkets are an easy walk away. The owner was very helpful before our stay and on hand during our stay if we needed her. I’m sure we’ll return again

Villa Irida is a great villa - we have stayed several times and love going back. It is well decorated, spacious, clean, comfortable and in a good location. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Oreo travel offer a very good service, helpful and communicate well, always prompt in responding to messages.
The majority of what you need is at the villa. There are just one or two things that would be useful: -
a tray to carry items to the dining table outside
a baking tray
a small/ medium sized saucepan
a folder of suggestions of tavernas from other guests and from the agency, where to go for a Greek night and local market days.
These are only a few small things.

Been a few times but had a few issues this time.
Leaking drainage under sink. Smells from
upstairs drains. No shower
attachments on 2 showers so had to hand hold, not gd when washing long hair.
Had to ask for pool towels tea towels and plastic cups to take round the pool.
Toilet roll holders hanging off. Not good.

Loved this Villa. At first I was concerned we might be too over looked but the part of the beach where the Villa is opposite is really quiet (we went during the summer holidays). The Owner of the Villa was helpful as were the cleaning staff, really thorough job twice a week. Agency we booked through via VRBO were great, replied within hours whenever I messaged, leading up to the holiday and during.
I would return to this Villa for sure. Highly recommended.

Herrliches Haus
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in diesem wundervollen Haus.Die Ausstattung ist außergewöhnlich gut, die Schlafzimmer sind groß und die Matratzen fest und alles andere als durch gelegen. Aufgrund des noch guten Wetters haben wir die großzügig geschnittenen Innenräume nur zeitweise genutzt, die Küche hat alles was es benötigt, vielleicht mit Ausnahme einer Salatsschüssel. Der Internetempfang ist gut, allerdings nur im Erdgeschoss. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, dass zum Billardtisch funktionsfähige Queues vorhanden waren – auch in Luxuriösen Objekten keine Selbstverständlichkeit und einfach ein weiterer Beleg dafür, wie fürsorglich und liebevoll die Eigentümer das Haus und ihre Gäste behandeln. Die Lage und der Außenbereich könnten nicht besser sein.Alles in allem uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

Great Stay
Very nice house in an excellent location. The agents at Oreo Travel were excellent and answered all pre-arrival and on location questions ‘ requests for help in a timely and professional manner. Villa was spotless and as advertised / true to photos. Nice property in a great location.

Great location
Lovely villa right next to the beach. Great location for restaurants, the beach , local supermarket nearby. Very helpful owners. The pool was not heated but you really don’t need heated pool in Greece in August - it was perfect temperature. Parking off road for a number of cars. But really handy taxi rank a few yards from the villa. €5 into old town. We often got a taxi there and walked back ( about 40 mins). Very relaxing chilled out place.

Excellent location
Couldn’t ask for a better location. Right next to a great beach. Lovely villa with a big pool. Games room. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of room for 12 of us. Taxi rank right outside to get into town in a couple of mins. Owners were excellent in helping out and replying to any questions. Would definitely recommend and even though not a fan of going to the same place twice would happily do so here.

Exceeded expectations
Just had a wonderful week with the whole family. Villa was beautiful and furnished to a high standard. Location couldn’t have been better with many restaurants and supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk. Taxi rank outside, €5 euros to the old town & harbour. The cleaning lady was particularly helpful and came midweek and gave the place a thorough cleaning. Would recommend to anyone who’s after a relaxing time away

Eine schöne Woche Großeltern, Kinder und Enkel
Geräumig, außergewöhnlich sauber, sehr gute und ruhige Lage.
Für das Baden im Meer sind Badeschuhe zu empfehlen, kömmen billig vor Ort gekauft werden.
Das Beste ist der Pool, abends auch beleuchtet; unsere Enkel 14 und 12 Jahre waren fast nicht heraus zu bekommen.

Modern Villa with excellent pool - very clean and good location.
Had a great week in this large villa - good location on the edge of Rethymno but still close to local restaurants and supermarkets. The pool is great with shallow child section and a good temperature too. Ample fluffy towels provided too. Villa was very clean and housekeeper lovely - very helpful. Only criticism was a couple of the shower heads were broken which meant bathrooms being shared on occasions and the terrace doors cannot be opened or closed from the outside which was inconvenient too. Other than that it was great and we would return.

Tolles Haus, nette Vermieter
Die Lage des sehr schönen Hauses ist perfekt.
Das Meer vor der Tür, der eigene Schatten so nah zum Meer dass man es sieht und rauschen hört.
Wir waren 12 Personen - 6 Erwachsene und 6 Kinder - und hatten reichlich Platz.
Die Raumaufteilung ist sehr gut, die Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet - tolle Matrazen und viel Stauraum.
Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Haus wird während der Woche am Mittwoch einmal komplett gereinigt.
Ein Griller steht im Garten zur Verfügung.
Toller Urlaub, das Haus ist sehr empfehlenswert

Excellent property, location and service.
This was a great property for a week away with 11 people. The owners were available and helpful. The property was as displayed - big enough for our crew, a great pool, and only steps to the beach (you don't even take your shoes!).
The local LIME scooters or the Taxi stand across the street made it incredibly easy to visit the old town. We rented vehicles locally and could have parked three in the driveway (this is undersold in the listing).
If the dates work for you, you should rent this Villa.

Absolutely fabulous
The villa was exactly as described. Very airy, clean, roomy, comfortable and modern. We like open plan living. The pool was fantastic, very clean and just the right temperature. Less than 5 minutes and you were on the beach. Outside was a taxi rank and for 5euro you could get into the town, very handy if you wanted to pick up buses for sightseeing. Would definately recommend.

We had a top holiday in this beautiful house. It is located near the sea in a beautiful town and the greek people are very friendly. We loved all of it and

Venus en famille à 10 personnes dans cette villa, la satisfaction de nos enfants et petites filles ainsi que la nôtre a été générale. Vraiment, le confort, l'aménagement, la propreté, l'espace de chaque pièce, la salle de jeux, la belle piscine ont fait de ces vacances une pleine réussite. Une mention particulière à la propriétaire pour son souci de donner entière satisfaction sur quoi que ce soit, et sa présence au moindre besoin. A proximité des commerces, super Market, boulangerie auxquels nous pouvions nous rendre à pieds, tout comme le centre-ville de Rethymno, nous avons apprécié ne pas toujours utiliser nos véhicules. L'emplacement de cette villa est très agréable, car situé en bout de l'avenue, il n'y a de ce fait aucune circulation passant devant la villa. Cela en fait un endroit calme . La villa permet de stationner à deux véhicules très aisément, il est fort possible probablement de stationner à 3 véhicules.
La propriétaire nous ayant précisé que nous étions les premiers français à louer, nous ne pouvons que conseiller à d'autres cette villa, ce secteur, sachant que dans Rethymno nous y avons découvert des restaurants méritants de s'y arrêter tant par l'accueil que les spécialités culinaires Crêtoises. Merci encore aux propriétaires d'avoir une villa ainsi.

Dejligt hus med enkelte mangler
Vi ankom til et skønt hus med en fantastisk beliggenhed. Ejerene var søde, imødekommende og hjælpsomme mennesker. Div. ting som opvaskemidler, poolhåndklæder, hynder på stolene m.m. kom sådan lidt efter lidt. Det burde være på plads fra start. Vi var 5 personer og det gik an, men hvis der skal være 12 personer i huset er køkkenet ikke udstyret godt nok og så skal man være meget large med hensyn til støj. Huset er så lydt, at man kan høre den mindste lyd, lige meget hvor mange døre der er lukket. Som helhed et fantastisk hus. Kan varmt anbefales, hvis man ikke er støjforskrækket.

Beautiful house
The house was just lovely. The owner was also very nice. The only thing that could have been better is the housekeeping. It would have been nice to have the house cleaned more often than once a week. Other than that we were very happy with our stay. Would love to come back one day. Highly recommended :)

"Great family Villa and Location"
Three families stayed at this villa providing us with great facilities, space and views of the beach. The villa has easy access to the beach and a taxi rank which takes you into the old part of Rethymno. The villa is surrounded by mini markets, with a larger supermarket less than a 5-minute walk. Round the corner from the villa is a number of restaurants, (I personally would recommend the 1+1 restaurant). The design of the villa provides plenty of room and space for such a large number of people. The owner very friendly and the cleaning services during our stay was fantastic. I would recommend this villa for large families with either younger children, or teenagers.

The following would make it more enjoyable......
Pool Towels.
Only 4 plastic cups and 2 plastic plates in a villa for 12 to take around the pool so had to use glass which if broken could be nasty for children.
No oven tray. No microwave bowls. No ovenglooves. Only 1 pan!!!! 4,draws completely empty
and very very little to cook with.
These could be rectified at a small cost but would make the villa so much better. There were just 5 of us there so we managed but if there were 10/12 it would be hopeless....
The villa itself is superb and we will return as it ticks so many boxes for us ...
If the above issues were sorted it would be so much nicer for its guests.

Amazing place with everything you could want within reach
Stayed here for a week with my wife and two young kids. the villa is amazing, spotlessly clean and in a great location.the pool area is a great place to chill and the views are great. Had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were a great help from start to finish cant wait to return.

Fantastic Villa, Fantastic Location!
We have just returned from the a great week staying at Villa Irida! We travelled as a group of 9 for a family members birthday and the villa and location ticked every box.
The owner met us there on arrival and talked though a few things such as the solar heated hot water and when she would be there to change bedding/towels.
We were firstly a little worried to book this due to the just one review but certainly glad we did, so I'm writing this to put anyone else's minds at rest.
The place was very clean and tidy, all bedrooms had built-in wardrobes and outside were plenty of sunbeds and a very clean pool.
The location, situated literally on the beach, was great. It was about a 25/30min walk, along the beachfront, to the town centre (or a 5euro taxi ride) where there were loads of fab restaurants and it was great exploring the old Rethymono town. Saying that there were also many restaurants and shops locally to the villa.
We all in all had a great week and would definitely return to both Villa Irida and Crete!
