Little tired but bedroom was very comfortable.
Nothing really could just do with a bit of a makeover.

We had two single rooms basic but everything you need and the price was amazing especially for Lake District area
If you want a budget stay in beautiful surroundings I would recommend this b n b and order the fish ,you won’t regret it

The food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. the room was well presented, clean and comfortable and the heating was lovely on such a cold night. There were a few options for breakfast in the morning and lots of choices or drink.
There was free parking at the hotel but this was very limited in space, so I ended up parking just down the hill in the station car park which was about a 2 minute walk away and parked there over night.

The property was easy to find. The bar area was clean and the staff were friendly. There was a good breakfast choice and the sausages were excellent.

Not the pubs fault - the other people staying! Coming in at all hours making a complete racket, banging on doors and being obnoxious.

The food was terrific and the staff friendly. A varied menu to suit most needs and wants .
The morning coffee was a tad weak in the restaurant and there was only one sachet of decaff in the room. A first world problem. Noise was a bit of an issue but things settled down once we wrestled the window shut.It is an old hotel and you would not expect perfection.It was an enjoyable stay on the whole.

There is not a lot to like about this tired run down pub that is not very clean and badly run.
The pub was not managed and left to a group of young staff to run. The place was generally a mess after all day Sunday drinking and the music was loud and terrible. The pub is generally dirty and very tired. The toilets for the dining area where overnight guests have breakfast are not cleaned from the night before and the fire door that leads down to them was locked with guests in the building.

The Queens Hotel is very lively - but inspite of this the room was fortunately very quite. The breakfast was good too.
The shower didn't work at all - it just ran cold. Unfortunately, there wasn't time to look to get it fixed or to sort out an alternative - so it was a quick wash in the sink instead.

The room was quite cosy. The pub had a lovely beer garden , and was relaxed in atmosphere. The room was quiet even though it was above the pub and on the main street. The bed was large. Although it's not possible to park at the pub, parking is available very close by at the station free of charge. The village is small but pleasant and the beach is within easy walking distance. The views from the beach and the start of the coast to coast walk are spectacular. We had an evening meal in the pub which was plentiful and really good quality food. The bar serves a good range of beers and wines. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
The bathroom window did not open so it was hard to keep towels dry. A bath mat would be nice. The door to the bathroom sticks a little, and needs attention. Also, the complimentary toiletries did not include shampoo. The bed was a little soft for my back.

Rooms were great for a pair of bikers travelling. Staff were great despite most of the place shut to a private party. Brekkie awesome!
There was a private function on that we weren't told about until we arrived. There was a tap room full of drunken men in their early 20's and the main part if the bar was shut off. This was the nice bit unfortunately, the tap room wasn't inviting at all. Disappointing really, they could have said before and we would have stayed elsewhere.

Lovely location, staff, food and accommodation. The only thing is change is the gaps in the window (felt like it was open even when it was cold) and the squeaky floorboards in the room above whose occupants started moving around at 5am!

Location was lovely and free parking on train station the break fast was good
Staff was off with me while checking in and I asked to book in for food he said yes ok then when I came to get a table I was told it was booked up and told to go into next town for food no apologies at all breakfast I had to ask for hot water for my tea he then brought out a hot kettle from kitchen which was filthy waited 25 minutes for my breakfast beans cold
