The actual building is extremely pretty and so it the lobby. They could really make this a showplace if they put some effort into it. Some of the staff were extremely nice. Breakfast was "okay". The eggs were gross, but there was some yogurt and other things. Overall, subpar food but the baguettes were amazing. The location is amazing. Across the street from the beach. The bedding was nice (except the pink accent pillows which were disgusting and stained when we arrived). The bed is comfortable.

The floors in the room were disgusting. Completely stained and felt dirty underfoot. So much so that I asked to change rooms. She showed me another room, with also stained carpets and said "this is slightly less stained, but it's a smaller room". She explained that they replace the carpet in December. To me, if you can't keep them clean or make them look clean, don't have carpet. Being in a dirty room, really clouded my experience. The rooms are on the smaller side. I thought breakfast was pretty gross and I hated the coffee out of an automated machine. Also, Parking is a bloody nightmare. Do not bring a car to Menton unless you are willing to park it far away or continue to feed the meter.

Beautiful traditional hotel in fabulous location. Staff were lovely. Hotel receptionist superb. Gave us a beautiful room with fabulous terrace. Highly recommended location. Everything in walking distance. Great spot to get to Ventimiglia Market, Monaco and to explore this beautiful coast.

The housekeeping enter on me while sleeping at the first morning, and after I put the signage for DND, actually they remove it and clean the room without asking me !!

Location is excellent! Front door opens to shopping and old town area, back door opens to restaurant and beach. Everything is within walking distance. We paid the extra forty euros for a room with a balcony (had one small table and two chairs) overlooking the beach, it was the best forty euros we spent on the trip!! We loved this hotel and town so much we ended up booking an extra night and cutting out an other area of our trip. The beach directly in front of hotel is rocky and just ok, but if you turn left and walk about 500 yards you’ll find the sweetest little beach of small, smooth pebbles and crystal clear water. This beach is in a cove and has no waves, perfect for families with littles. There’s a shop right by the beach where you can purchase any beach item you could possibly need.

Room and bathroom were small…but honestly we did not care, we were hardly ever in the room. Majority of the staff was great, but the woman who worked the front desk was always grumpy (maybe apathetic is the better word?). My husband started referring to her as Broom Hilda, (Bruinhilde) and if we needed anything we’d wait until her shift was over so we could talk to someone else.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a good location near to the sea and 10 minutes walk to the train station. our room was bigger than our expectation. The stuff was clean and in good condition. I recommend it.

Great location and right next to the beach, Beautiful city and mountain view out of the bedroom window, gardens were gorgeous. Privilege bedroom was large and the beds were very comfy. Shower was GREAT :-)

Breakfast was a bit basic, bedroom seating area seemed to be garden furniture, this could have had some cushions to make it a bit comfier.

The location of the hotel is more than perfect ! They have really good Wifi . The view from the 5th floor to the city is nice . Unfortunately that's all.

First -the front desk is totally uselеss-from questions regarding the transportation in the town , the AC in the room ,booking a taxi for the day of departure ..whatever we asked -never received an answer . The room was not enough clean , the shower cabin was so tiny and small , that it was uncomfortable . The whole hotel is not well maintained . The breakfast was really the same and 2 options every morning , so we just went out to have breakfast - not worth to pay extra for it . In general the hotel is not bad , but could worth less for what you receive. It's ok for 4-5 days if you don't have expectations. Also for the rooms with view to the city -every morning around 5 -6AM there is really awfull noice either from the construction work in the building next door , either from the trucks that are loading the store in front of the hotel.

The view of the Mediterranean might be the best in Menton. The water pressure in the shower was great.

We were so looking forward to our week at this hotel. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, I knew I had made a mistake. The street entrance is shabby, as is the reception area. The photos of public spaces on their website are not indicative of the current state of this property. It wasn't helped by the fact that we were given a room without a terrace, despite having booked a half a year in advance. Our room had a constant hum, I'm guessing, from a nearby generator. The clientele in general were Seniors (we're Seniors too, I might add,) who apparently return, year after year. A woman swooned in the lobby. An elderly couple struggled with luggage and were offered no assistance. A defibrillator is prominently displayed near the very slow elevator. The breakfast was so unappealing that, despite having paid for it, I ate elsewhere. I decided to not let this sad property dampen my spirits and had a great time in Menton. I even found a wonderful hotel for our next visit!
