Nothing that we could control

Good stop over. Friendly greeting from host. Ample parking. Very secure hotel. Open windows on 2 sides. (No air conditioning). Beds comfy.

Narrow entrance to car park may challenge some drivers. 2 Steps up to bathroom for our room. No walk in shower in our room, (but did mot specify one!)

Very clean , friendly staff and the bar was reasonably priced

There was nothing too dislike

Room was very clean, kettle in room, kindly put me a small fridge in the room for my medication. Room 9 was recently refurbished with a firm 12” deep mattress on the bed. Shower, though small, was very powerful. Big tv on wall, only a short stroll to shops, good Chinese restaurant opposite. The bar was good and there was seating outside as well. Only 4 minutes drive from Grantham Hospital or a 15-20 minute walk. Check out was 10.30am but I was allowed to sit in the reception for as long as I needed after check out which was great as my husband was being discharged from hospital at 2pm following a hip replacement.

No lift, and no one to help carry heavy luggage. Our room was on the front of the hotel and the traffic was noisy on the first night, but better on the second. (Very hot day so needed windows open). We were expecting breakfast but on arrival saw a notice on reception that due to unforeseen circumstances the kitchen was closed for the 2 days we were there! It would have been nice to be warned. You need to turn left before the hotel down a side road to the car park- a sign or a message up front would have helped as the info online did not make this clear.

Comfortable clean room very well equipped. Breakfast was excellent with choice of cereals fish fruit yogurt and juice, also tea coffee and pastries. Selection of preserves for toast after cooked breakfast for which there was a good selection and food was cooked to order and arrived hot and very tasty. Hotel very close to town centre but on a fairly quiet side road. Staff friendly and helpful. Recent refurbishment has really helped the look and feel of the hotel.

Difficult to think of any improvement! All exceeded our expectations and price was reasonable too - great value for money.

Martin was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction of the gym and telling me about the main attractions and things to do around town. The coffee machine in the deluxe rooms was a nice treat. All staff very helpful and friendly and the mixed grill was unbelievable with the price, unfortunately didn’t have time for breakfast.
