Absolutely amazing! This cabin was perfect. It was better than described! We couldn't believe this was our cabin for the week when we pulled up! It was beautiful! Almost totally secluded in a valley. We never saw anybody the whole time we were there. Sitting on the wrap-around porch in the morning's and evening's watching and listening to the babbling brook that runs right in front of the cabin was so peaceful. We will be back every year. Thank you so much for a perfect vacation!

Very relaxing by the creek. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed. The outside was big enough to keep our dog entertained especially the ckeek and ponds.

Everything was clean a quiet! The property is in a gated community and convenient to the rivers. Lots of great fishing and hiking just a few miles away!

The place was nice and clean. Everything was pretty modern and just overall very good. I would stay here again for sure. There is almost no cell reception in this area, but the cabin had wifi which was a MUST!

Cabin was very clean and had everything that you needed! It was a nice home away from home! The stream out front of the cabin was nice to sit and listen to while having our morning coffee! We sat outside a few nights and had a fire and watched the fireflies! There’s a good bit of them!! So neat to see! So peaceful and quiet! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

I can't say enough about this property and the owners! Even though we visited on the coldest week of the past 40 years, it was a wonderful trip. Ana and her husband were so helpful. We are from the gulf coast and were unfamiliar with North Carolina. They gave us some tips of where things were located and some tips about the property. First, they told us the property was the 1st one we would come to and it was the easiest one to get in and out of in case of snowy/freezing weather. We were VERY grateful for that. The cabin is in a gated community. The road was well maintained and on flat ground. The cabin itself was simply beautiful. It was very rustic with the interior being wood with hard wood floors that gave a cozy ambience. The furnishings were nice and I can't say enough about how comfortable the bed was. It was like sleeping in a warm cloud. The bathrooms were awesome. The kitchen was nice and if you like to cook, had just about anything you would need to cook anything you would like. There were lots of windows in the downstairs area where you could see the area. There is a creek that runs down the hill on the side of the cabin. You can hear it running inside the house which added to the experience. It was so peaceful and relaxing! The cabin was absolutely spotless including the floors. Even though it was so cold (high of 2 degrees on one day) and we couldn't get out a whole lot, we didn't feel trapped or feel like we lost anything. The creek partially froze over along with the ponds which added to the beauty of the place. We absolutely loved the cabin and the time we spent there. It was an enchanting experience and one we will always remember. I would highly recommend it.

We came to town for a wedding and loves this 2 bedroom place for my husband, 2 adult and me. This small home is beautiful and was prefect for us. The only downside is there is no dining room table for us all to sit at for meals or games. Otherwise, we loved jt!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin in the mountains. The cabin itself was very comfortable - we especially enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch listening to the creek on the property and gathering around the fire pit after a day of fun. The kids and dog loved playing in the creek. The community property with the gazebo and creek/ponds right in front of the house was perfect for dog walking and reading in our hammocks. We were also the only people ever there! The location was excellent with the Nantahala Outdoor Center and many hiking trails a short drive away. We also enjoyed tubing in Great Smoky Mountain National Park and visiting Bryson City. Ana was a great host and very responsive. Our trip was the perfect combination of quiet/relaxation and adventure. We can’t wait to return!

The property was beautiful, pictures do not do it justice! Perfect size for our family. Nicely decorated with everything we needed as far as utensils, linens, etc. The cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect for hiking with the Nantahala National Forest nearby, Bryson City and the train made for a great excursion, and Ziplining just down the road. We also took advantage of whitewater rafting, but opted for a longer drive for more challenging rapids, though there was plenty of rafting nearby. If we ever find ourselves heading that direction again we will definitely book this VRBO again. Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home!

Rental was easy through vrbo, we’ve stayed at Running Branch a few times before and really enjoyed listening to the creek, relaxing by the fire pit, while surrounded by mountains. There’s so many activities just a short drive away.

The cottage was very clean and well provided. The owner responded to our questions quickly.

I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay near Cherokee.

My husband and I spent 10 days at this little slice of heaven! The cabin is lovely and spacious with everything you need. It was extremely clean and furnished beautifully! I had a few questions before we arrived and Ana was very responsive everytime. We've always stayed at other places for our annual trip to NC but this is our favorite of all! Loved this Cabin/Cottage so relaxing, peaceful and the small mini stream that glides past the cottage, not to mention 📍 location so close to Murphy, Bryson City, Ashville and we even drove over the mountain to Gatlinburg! We are coming back, we loved it and now looking to purchase property near the OTC, white water, zip lines etc and the beautiful Elk we saw. Thanks for renting your cabin to guests from all over. This place is an absolute gem!!! We have been coming here for years and never knew this amazing place existed!!! All we had to do was come in with our clothes and we were home!! Everything you could possibly want or need is at your fingertips!! Will most definitely be returning

We had a wonderful time staying at the Lodge. The house was clean, comfortable, and had every amenity we could want. Our dog loved the stream that runs right by the cabin. We had no problem with the wi-fi and there was a landline phone in case we needed it. I had two questions for the owner, and she responded incredibly quickly. We will definitely stay again!

This cabin is very nice. I have never stayed in a better stocked place. The porch is great. There is a huge yard, nice creek and a pond. Our 7-year-old grandson had a wonderful time. They even gave us a bottle of wine! We did have to do a lot of driving to get to places we wanted to go but the senery is beautiful. We will come back.

The tiny stream next to the house led down to some retention ponds that were perfect for my 3 year old to practice casting with her new fishing rod (we went nearby to Otter Creek Fish farm and she caught her first fish). The house is well stocked with cooking utensils. The washer/dryer was perfect to keep up with laundry on vacation. It had a landline phone, wifi, and satellite TV so you never felt like you were cut off from the world. I would definitely rent this place again.Help navigating in: When navigating in on 74 from the Northeast, Google Maps told us to turn onto Franklin Branch one entrance too early. It's the second entrance on the Map coming from the North. It also told us to go up the road when it was the first house after the gate.
