This is a cozy little cabin with Moose in the backyard.
Cute, warm, great deck, no Kuerig but did have 4 cup coffee maker. Washer/Dryer was a great addition for our long stay. Lots of parking.
Huge grass area for our fur kids to run & do business (we tried very hard to pick up all the poop).
Kyle & his Mom Brenda were awesome to work with & very responsive. We so appreciated their hospitality!!!
Perfect location off main hwy & very quiet!

We loved the location, midway between Anchor Point and Homer. Very serene and picturesque. Grounds were well kept. Family of Sand Hill Cranes met us when we arrived, along with a baby moose!
House was perfect size for two people, and had all of the furnishings we needed.
Kyle, the owner, lives on property, and had good information to share about the history of the area.
We would love to make a return visit!

Stayed 3 nights with no problems! Very cozy stay far enough away from town but close enough if you need anything lots of wildlife around this area! There was no grill as advertised but it helped us experience some amazing food on the homer spit!

The place was a bit smaller than I thought it would be but I would for sure stay there again. It was immaculate and the owners went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. In the field next to the house, each day we saw a moose with a brand new baby or two moose that look like they are a couple. They also have a crane that paces up and down the driveway every day. All day! I miss it already and would with no doubt stay there again.

My husband and I spend a week at this perfect little cabin. It had everything that we needed. Having the washer/dryer unit was a big plus.

Experience the wilderness!
Our stay was just what we were hoping for. Staying outside of town and hoping to see some wildlife. We saw a cow and calf moose! It’s a short drive into Homer and the drive in is spectacular. The cabin is small and clean, the only downside was no tv and internet was very spotty. We couldn’t connect most days. Other all I would stay again!

Couldn’t ask for any better
His is a very comfortable and quite place to stay, with an amazing view from the porch, so much we extended our stay for two more days. The location is half way from either Homer or Anchor Point boat ramp. The host lives next door, he gives you privacy but his response time is very fast if you email with a question. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank You!

Perfect for what we needed
My husband and I came and slept there one night in order to go halibut fishing next day. Theres everything you can need for a short stay with 2 individuals. We did smell a sulfur smell from the water in the kitchen. Let the owner (who was super friendly and responsive) know and they were thankful we made them aware. It is a little more remote than I realized but overall I would recommend!

Cute little house
check in was super easy, the host was very friendly and attentive to communications with a late check in. It was a nice surprise to have a mother moose and her two calf in the yard each morning. A very relaxing stay! I would definitely recommend to anyone

Wonderful stay!
This was exactly what we were looking for!
It was very clean & perfect for our family of 4! It had everything there that we needed and more. The washer and dryer were also a very nice plus, as well as the deck with nice view! Only a short drive into Homer and definitely couldn’t beat the price! Will be staying again! Thanks!!!

Great place
Great place. The cabin is a bit loud when using the water or the heat due to the type of system they have set up. The bathroom needed a little more cleaning but everything else was great.

Quiet and efficient!
This was my second stay here, and it is perfect for me - close to my fishing destinations, and comfy. The water filter was a nice surprise this year, as was the new couch. For one person, there’s lots of space, but with more than two it would be a bit cramped to find places to put all your stuff. Then again, II did come for two weeks with everything but the kitchen sink (a guide has to be prepared), and I know most folks travel a LOT lighter. The place is perfect for a weekend stay, especially if you have an agenda and aren’t planning on sitting around. The porch has a great BBQ, and lots of room to lounge. Coming back again, for sure. :)

Tiny House with a View
Presents very well, neat and clean with plenty of parking.
Pump is annoying, needs a note book with instructions for the TV, pump too ( lost all water pressure while brushing my teeth )
Suggest guests snag a case of water, as we did. My daughter complained about the Sofa beds comfort, perhaps a Futon would be
a better choice. Property manager was very helpful, Thank You!

Second time around...
I stayed here twice this summer and liked it both times. Nice little cabin with all the required amenities. This time was a better because the loud water issue had been attended to. You still hear the pump kick on but it no longer sounds like aircraft taking off. Thanks, James! -DR

We were very happy with our stay and would come back again. Thank you!

Neat, clean, and cozy! James has the place set up nicely, and it’s close to both Homer & Anchor Pt.
Everything was great, except for the very noisy water pump and water heater - flushing at night will definitely wake everyone staying there. Bring your own drinking/coffee water, as the well water has some sulfide in it. The oven broiler also did not work. On the bright side (no pun intended), there was plenty of lighting to read and tie flies with, and great washer/dryer. Bring your own bath soap, and Kureig coffee/tea. It was a bit tough to find the home’s driveway the first time, as the house number is on a green placard, and is inset into the brush some twenty feet back off the road. Luggage storage/shelf space for more than two people is tight, especially if you’ve got lots of fishing gear and waders to take care of. A covered porch entry would have been nice for those days when the wind and rain blow in. Overall though, a fantastic value for the money! I should add that James was always phone-available to answer questions and provide information. :)

Quiet, beautiful setting.Bring drinking water.
This was a small but comfortable one bedroom cabin with running water. The property is very quiet, and the view from the porch is of a nicely cared for yard, small pond, and beautiful rolling hills.
Pros:
-James is very fast to respond to messages
-quiet lot
-15 minute drive to Homer spit
-comfortable bed
-instant water heater
-dog friendly
Cons:
-lights in bathroom are on an outlet that trips, so you occasionally have to reset it.
-water tastes and smells strongly of metal. Bring your own water to drink. You can shower in this water, but you will smell like metal.
-internet is slow, so TV reception pauses every few minutes.
To be fair to the owner, we didn't bring up the last two because we were only there for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay otherwise.

Great little house was all we needed. Wrap around porch offered view of Mtns & pond in distance.
Very clean with washer & dryer a plus. Full size refrigerator in kitchen/living room area. Separate bedroom and bathroom. Saw a moose in the back yard from the deck on first night there. Big window over sink is nice to see the mountains in the distance and pond beyond lawn. The only drawback was the noise water pipes made when in use. My
husband said it scared more moose away when I turn the water on. Comfortable bed with dark curtains as it doesn't get dark in July until midnight. Met owner before we left 2nd day and he was very nice. Wish we had known he had connections to a fishing charter in Homer. My husband could not go halibut fishing because everyone was booked. He should have booked ahead of time. Overall great place for the price.

Great home base
We used this cabin for a recent trip to Homer/Kenai. This was the perfect place to set up as home base while we were out enjoying the beauty of the area. Highly recommend.

I'd stay here again.
This is a nice, clean cabin with all the comforts of home. The bed was super comfy (not squishy). The downside really is just the sound of the water pump. It runs every time a tap is opened, even for just a cup of water.

This little cabin was perfect for our 2 bight stay, close to Homer where we had an early morning check in for a very successful halibut trip. James was an excellent host and was kind enough to take the time to point us to some fabulous food during our stay. Everything was clean. I would love to have this cabin sent to my backyard in PA. Thanks for a great, enjoyable stay.

The cabin is remote from Homer (a 10 mile drive) and other attractions and is still in the process of being finished - the deck was being worked on while we were there. The hot water heater didn't produce hot water for the bathroom sink or the kitchen and the well pump is noisy. It is hard to find since the number sign by the road is overgrown with bushes and there is no sign out front.
It is quiet and does have a nice view across the valley and hills and we did have a moma moose and her calf in the yard this morning!

Small but efficient.
Could use a few more utensils in the kitchen. Cutting board would be nice for us cooks and a normal coffee maker.

My husband and I stayed here for a week and we loved it. James was very helpful and the cabin has everything a person needs. We will definitely plan to stay again!

It worked but probably wouldn't stay again.
The cabin is as it appears in the photos. Very nice, very clean and comfortable. The "view of the lake and valley" are there, however, you have to first, look past the septic field. We didn't have any hot water and when you use the water, it sounds like a 747 is taking off! Hopefully, no one flushes the toilet in the middle of the night. The hot water issue, may have been able to be taken care of but we didn't arrive until late and left early, so didn't want to bother James. We couldn't find the "firepit." It may have been a dugout spot in the dirt and the only wood we could see, was a pile of small, brush. As a suggestion, it would be helpful to have a booklet with information to answer questions about how things work in the cabin, (like the TV) where things are located and just general information about the area of Homer/Anchor Point, as well as, contact information for James. Overall, it suited our needs. Thank you!

Cozy, quiet cabin with a beautiful lake view.
I loved my weekend getaway at this cabin! It was easy to find and James was friendly and very helpful. The cabin is new and well appointed with everything you need. The bed is quite comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the entire place was spotlessly clean. I really appreciated the close proximity to Homer and would definately book another stay.

Beautiful, quiet little cabin
We stayed for a weekend and were very impressed with this tiny house that had all the amenities we needed. Tvs in both rooms, refrigerator, microwave, gas stove and tankless on demand hot water made this a place we look forward to staying at again.
