our rooms were lovely and roomy, beds were so comfortable and all rooms were very quiet no noise from anywhere else in the property

The car was safely parked on a secure car park. The room was clean and had a nice en suite. There's a kettle in the room with hot drinks provided. The breakfast was outstanding. Both Gary and Sue were good hosta, giving information about the area and places to visit. We will definitely come back for another visit.

Lovely welcoming hosts, great choice for English breakfast - the fruit was also exceptional. This place was superb as a base for walking local mountains - managed Cat Bells 1st day followed by Green Gable and Great Gable the next.

Stayed for three nights and I would do it again. Breakfast is delicious and generous, Gary + Sue are delightful and helpful, very comfortable well-kept home! Highly recommended. The location is a ~20 min walk from town, which was perfect for me as I didn't want to be right in the centre, very quiet and tranquil. There's a bus stop right in front of the property too from Penrith train station, really convenient.

The owners offer the most welcoming service and Gary gets out of his way to make sure guests have the best of Cumbria. Breakfast is outstanding from sweet to sour.

Gary and Sue were an Experienced couple who made sure our planned holiday to be an EXCEPTIONAL reality! They should be rated as 5 star for their service and dedication. Our experience was wonderful. All facilities on offer, for us, were great They were most helpful at all times and took care of all our needs, in all departments!

Breakfast was really good, and easy parking always a bonus. Easy walk into Keswick and plenty of hills to walk up. The views were fantastic.

Unfortunately, there is no lounge to relax in. The only place to sit was on the bed or outside.

Sue and Gary were amazing hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and clean, had all the facilities we needed, a nice modern bathroom with included toiletries. Breakfast was amazing, the cooked food was perfect and the service and offering of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals etc was a very nice touch and also delicious! The location of the guest house is very good, a short walk into Keswick town, a pub and shop / petrol station just down the road and a little forest area close by was very useful for taking the dog out too. Having a car parking space was very handy as well.

I can't think of anything that was bad at all, if I was to be very picky I would say the bedroom could be slightly modernised in terms of décor but the way it was decorated had its charm and not everyone likes a modern look and vice versa, it's more of an opinion but there was nothing wrong with our stay at all.

Breakfast was best full English! Top quality, cooked to perfection The cook was quite a dish too! (Ha I did promise this Gary).

Everything was good, the room, the breakfast, the location and the hosts. My own parking space was a huge bonus as parking in Keswick is not always easy. The location is good and it is easy to walk into town via the old railway track that is now a pleasant paved footpath. I would be happy to stay again.

Wonderful hosts who were super welcoming and very accommodating. I was travelling with a rather noisy labrador and hyperactive 6 year old but Gary and Sue were very understanding of the situation. Very knowledgeable about the area with lots of great suggestions for dog/child friendly places to visit. Breakfast was super tasty every morning, bed was amazingly comfy and location was ideal for accessing the local area. Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely come back again in the future
