The location was excellent in the ancient town of Lijiang, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our flight was delayed and we did not arrive until 3am but the staff stayed up to help us find the hotel and get us settled in. We were also given a great list of places to eat and visit in Lijiang. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the hotel has a great balcony view of the ancient town. Finally the value for money was brilliant. One of the best trips I have ever had thanks to this hotel and its staff.

Everything was great

The location is just within the north gate, so we did not have to drag our suitcases too far into Old town. Having the water cooler to fill our bottles from was great. We did not have to purchase single use plastic. The bathtub we had in our room was huge and the heated toilet seat was a delight.

The language barrier presented challenges for us, so it was hard to approach the staff. Their presence was known, but there was no above and beyond hospitality.

Jianshe Inn is located within the Dayan Ancient Town scenic area but a little away from all the hustle and bustle of one of the main pedestrian streets. Therefore it's a great place to stay at if you cherish your quiet time and are into having a good night's sleep. I stayed at three different rooms and all of them are spacious plus providing all the desired necessities. The cleaning lady does a great job in keeping them very tidy as well. I can definitely recommend staying at "The Deluxe King Room with balcony" as it comes with a lovely big bath tub. The accommodation provides a shared laundry machine and a place to dry your wet clothes as well which is quite handy of course. All in all Jianshe Inn comes highly recommended!!

location is good inside the old town in a relatively quiet zone breakfast is not provided - the places in the old town do not open before 8 rooms are large with modern furnishings there is a nice sun terrace staff are friendly and helpful

there is a movement - activated loudspeaker outside my room continuously blaring "dear tourist-friends". Someone needs to make use of wirecutters. Who would allow this to be installed? Smoking allowed everywhere

Price, location, the room was clean and warm, it has humidifier and Japanese toilet 😍 Also there is a nice view from the terrace 🤩

A well designed, beautiful property. We were on the top floor and loved the view from the balcony. We were impressed with the excellent location and the very friendly cat.

Beautiful, Japanese-style property with views over the old town from the second floor rooms (definitely worth asking for). The deep, freestanding bathtub was a wonderful treat in simple, but very comfortable rooms. Close to the main drag of the tourist area, but away from the live music bars, so peaceful at night. Having access to the washing machine was very useful.

The staff person was not at all helpful - didn’t speak any English and didn’t make any effort to make us feel welcome.

WOW this place blew my mind!!! It is FABULOUS, and brings so much value considering the very reasonable price!! It totally and by far exceeded my expectations. Located right at the heart of Dayan ancient town, you can easily explore all the restaurants / cool shops within a matter of a few minutes' walk. What I loved most: - Gorgeous Japanese-zen, minimalist decoration of the rooms - Spacious, super-clean rooms - Incredibly comfy bed - Large bathtub and private balcony with mountain & old town view!! (for the King room with balcony) - Splendid views (for rooms located on the 2d floor) - Super strong WIFI (can streamline movies) - Japanese toilet!!! (it's nice to have this warmth on your butt in the morning!) - Super friendly staff - Fabulous location right within the old town

NOTHING!!! I'm just mentioning this as information, not as a negative point: Jian She doesn't serve breakfast. But there are countless options less than 5mn walk, and also a foodcourt, so options are plenty.

Kind owners, nice design, calming environment, good location, very clean. It was very convenient to have the clothes washing machine. The rooms on the second floor are even better for longer stays as they have more light, but all rooms are very nice. Loved having Pu'er tea with the owners nearly every day--really enjoyed the Lijiang culture right at our Inn.

Hard to find anything to improve. It is important to note that as of summer 2021, they did not offer breakfast. In previous reviews it mentions breakfast, but apparently it was discontinued. There are many good places to eat breakfast within a couple of minutes walking distance.

The owner's exceptional hospitality. The modern and stylish facilities. The great location. I'd highly recommend this place to travellers to Lijiang. The place is beautifully furnished with Japanese style. Everyone here is so supportive and friendly. My husband and I could not install Wechat for this trip, and the owner even lent us his phone so that we can stay connected. We love everything about this place as it feels like home :) Especially adore the golden retriever and the cat <3
