lounge air con and second bedroom air con did not work safety issues….no stair balustrades so dangerous for kids and extremely low ceiling heights in bedrooms due to pitched ceilings which lead us to constantly bump our heads poor shower water pressure took a long time to get hot water Had to walk up many steps to get to the front of the house making transportation of luggage difficult You cannot see any views from inside of the house…you have to stand on the balcony and look over the wall Poor wifi Photos of this property are misleading Dirty shower and toilet and shower drain is blocked and does not drain out water properly.

Very comfortable apartment with amazing views across the port and also of the mountains. Didn't meet the owner but he was very responsive to texts and queries. Lovely peaceful place to stay in May as I think we were a little ahead of the busy season.

Location is superb. Interior is nice. Views are stupendous.

Host failed to keep appointment for our arrival. (Confirmed just the day before.) Instead sent an assistant 45 minutes later, to another location, with no explanation or apology. (Yes, we arrived early, but I'm talking about the later AGREED arrival time.) "Hot water" service never worked fully. After about 5 minutes it was warm, but it never got hot. Gate to the street was kept unlocked and wide open. So strangers could have entered the garden and reached our room door. The bedroom light was a bare bulb - no shade.

The apartment was stunning with the most picturesque outlook of the Port. We enjoyed the bottle of red wine left for us made by Antonio the owner, that was a lovely touch. The apartment was so clean and spacious, I would have loved to stay for longer. The old town of Maratea was about 5km drive from the apartment and was just adorable. We loved everything about our stay.

Nothing at all

Great location with a view down to the marina and promenade. There was a spot to park the car on the street below, which was important during the busiest times. Very clean with a lovely décor. Lots of thoughtful quirky bits of furnishings and decorations. The wine, water and coffee were very welcome, thank you. The floor tiles throughout were lovely, too The bathroom was clean and of good size. The shower was located in the bedroom, for space reasons, I guess. Great shower with plenty of hot water at good pressure. The bed was large and comfy. The kitchen area was very welcome, we could make our own breakfast and hot drinks. The fridge was spotlessly clean and worked well. Washing up liquid and sponges were under the sink and there are plenty of saucepans and frying pans, too. The property had 3 large French doors with shutters, all leading onto small balconies. Not quite large enough to sit out on, which appears to be a typical style. You could sit with the doors open and enjoy the view, though. Good eating places in the harbour, including excellent ice cream at Emilio's. The mini market stocks most necessities. There is a large supermarket, which carries delicious fresh groceries, within driving distance. Antonio is an exceptional host. He replied very quickly to our messages and managed to resolve all our problems and answer all of our questions. There is a helpful guy in the town which Antonio calls upon for practical support, such as the check in and fixing the blown light bulb.

The price for the great view were the many steps to climb from the car parking. Even more from the harbour. Well worth it, though! It also meant that it was quieter than other properties within the town. We had problems with other cars being parked in our space every time we drove out. This was quickly resolved by Antonio making some phone calls.

The apartment is very well located. The owner helps with everything. The view is only nice from one apartment not from both...

Check out which apartment you get. The pictures are placed a bit tricky, we thought to have the bigger apartment because they were shown and we did get the small apramtent, a bit overprized I think. The electricity turns off when you use both stoves. We stayed for a week and a cleanup in between would have been nice but we were told that it is not a hotel and so they dont come and clean and change towels or so. Also in the first floor lives a family and they smoke a lot, sometime we had to leave the windows closed to not get the smell. There also live like five cats if you dont like cats (or the smell of their urine) dont book there. At least they are quit in the night. We had the smaller apartment with the nice sea view but it can get noisy if there is someone in the other apartment as thare are stairs and thez are exactly above our sleeping room and walls are very thin...But Maratea is a nice place though.

Amazing views of the sea, sunsets, port, mountains and town. The owner and his staff are very helpful and generous.
