it was really clean and the facilities were amazing. Really lovely host that helped us book a taxi for the next day. Food was lovely and huge bed!

I booked for one room one night but there was no other guest so I got the whole house to myself!! Love it!! The place is big and clean. The staff didnt speak good English but she tried to help as much as she can. This place would be perfect if you travel as family or group of friend.

The location was a but hard to find, like I first thought I took a wrong turn and the property didnt exist cause when you take the turn to this small path following google map, first thing you’ll see is abandon land. So would be really nice if you put more sign from the main road and on that small path.

Villa Santai is a very beautiful house and the view towards Gunung Agung is really great. Nyman, the attentive housekeeper, takes care of the guests almost around the clock, and during the five days I was there in December 2022, I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly people.

There is information on the websites that I think is misleading. For example, it is said that Villa Santai features a restaurant and a bar. This is incorrect. There is no restaurant and no bar either in the house or in the immediate vicinity. There is a menu for food and drinks to choose from and when you order for example Nasi Goreng, Nyoman starts her motorcycle and gets it from a nearby Warung. At this point I should mention that during my time at Villa Santai the owner, Kadek, was not on site. Maybe the processes are different when she can take care of the guests herself ... - Then the websites mention that all rooms have a desk and a coffee machine/kettle. My Superior Double Room had neither one nor the other. Rather, for the fact that I prepared coffee - for lack of alternatives - in the communal kitchen and occasionally a few fried eggs, a "kitchen fee" of Rp. 100,000 was charged. - Anyone checking into Villa Santai should definitely have a motorbike or car – there are no internet taxis like Gojek or Grab available in this area. There are bicycles in Villa Santai for rent, but since they are in a poor condition and the frame size is rather unsuitable for tall Westerners, the fun here is very limited - especially since the area around Villa Santai has many steep hills.

Very beautiful Villa with lots of space. Great view of Mt Agung from the balcony on a clear day. Host was very welcoming and cooked us a delicious breakfast. Location is close to Bukit Cinta.

The place and view were perfect. Very friendly staff and very good internet speed. Rooms are clean and a lot of beautiful gekkos on territory.

Very nice place, well built, you feel just like home. Great views on the rice fields and the volcano. Nyoman was very helpful, Kadek as well. Better to have a scooter or a car of your own. The mosque was actually a lot less disturbing than I thought in the morning.

The property was very clean, cosy, and the staff were very welcoming and helped us with any queries we had. The property is out the way and quiet which is nice to chill out. If the sky is clear you have good views of the mountain. Easy access to rent out a motorbike and is a short ride into town. Unfortunately for the property it had taken some damage to the upper floor which was where our room was meant to be, so they upgraded our room to downstairs room at no extra charge.
