The host, Ettore was very accommodating and was so helpful. It’s a unique with charming place to stay and feels like an island cabin getaway. Ettore is a splendid and made our stay so comfortable. Just make sure you have mosquito repellent for outside!

We ended up loving the location but we did not realize that there is a 100 meter hill you need to carry your suitcases up and that most cabs will drop you 300 meters or more from the place due to narrow streets. That said, it is a charming cottage without air conditioning and with a serviceable small kitchen, not for gourmet chefs. Ettore was fantastic and helpful. We would recommend renting electric bicycles in Naples since they don't rent them in Capri but everyone uses them. One of the surprise highlights once we got used to the long walk up hill into town, was that we really got in much better shape. Capri is all hills and tiny narrow roads. This place, like many on the Island, is off the beaten path. Ettore was generous with his time and greeted us with proseco and a stocked kitchen. We had hoped to rent a scooter and had pre-arranged it but the scooter company owner refused to rent them to us for safety reasons when he realized that we are not regular scooter riders. It was difficult to find location of the property. I had contacted the host several time via Homeaway and no answer, on the day of arrival had to use address provided by Homeaway to arrive to Anacapri and walk the neighborhood with pictures provided and lucky was helped by a local. When arrived the host said he had been emailing me to my personal email which I never received, he then told us we could go to the beach until check in time and drop our bags outside. While at the beach club he then emailed via Homeaway and said we will need to give him an additional hefty amount of euros as a deposit which he will then wire back after check out(still waiting on this). Property did not have any ac only fan which were not enough especially in the tiny second bedroom which did not fit anything besides the bed. We had to leave all windows and door open at nights in order to sleep. Don’t be fooled by pictures of the view you get none at all just of trees. Host was gracious enough to give us a little tour of places to visit and information on the island.

Ettore was wonderful and welcoming. The villa and the gardens were even more beautiful than the photos. Our children loved the pool and exploring the grounds. Three adults and three children fit comfortably. Ettore welcomed us with fresh tomatoes and everything needed for dinner and breakfast. Exceeded our expectations! Nearby restaurant with incredibly cliff views of sunsets and wonderful dinner. We will be back for a longer stay. Ettore helped us rent a boat for the day to tour the island. Thank you Ettore! This property is very quaint and authentic. I give it 5 stars because the experience made me feel as if I lived there. A lot of walking which is needed to balance all the calories from the incredible local restaurant. I would suggest for a couple as it is small. The second bedroom is usable; however if we were sharing with another couple rather than family it would have been tight. But don’t let that dissuade you, the villa was perfect for our needs and the location could not have been better. Our host was enthusiastic and kindly left us with food to prepare a meal. Again ...location, location, location.

We (3 cousins) had an absolutely fabulous time at the Villa and on the Island of Capri. Ettore, the owner, was the most gracious person we met on our whole trip. He met us at the Villa and gave us a tour and explained the history of the Island and of Naples. He stocked the refrigerator with food so we could cook a dinner and have some great wine on our first night. His recommendations for taxi, boat tour, and restaurants were spot on. He drove us out to a point to show us the view of the Sea and the coast line of Anacapri. Absolutely beautiful. One point that was mentioned in other reviews is that you need some spray for mosquitoes - they are very small hit your legs!! This is a fabulous place and we all hope to return in the future.

Starting with a lovely greeting from Ettore, this garden of Mediterranean Eden—about a half a hectare of figs, pomegranates, and olive trees—will immediately make you feel you have arrived in a special place. Now to get here is a trek—plan ahead and take the fast passenger ferry from Naples. We recommend you schedule a driver ahead of time as the villa is not easily found even by taxi drivers. This is the perfect hideaway from a sometimes hectic tourist island. Anacapri is an oasis, both close and far from the best of Capri. It’s just a five minute walk to the bus pick up to Anacapri, (a 10 minute ride into this hamlet). All the shopping you’ll want is here, from pantry food to clothing. The Blue Grotto is about a 20 minute walk down steep but charming stone steps. You can get a regular tourist boat to this destination during the day, but wait until 19:00 when all the tourists leave and take a swim into the cave yourself. Lots of other swimmers will join you with joy in their voices. The island of Capri is so much about history. From the villa, a 20 minute walk takes you to the Emperor Tiberius’ Damecuta villa. In Anacapri, the chair lift to the top of Mt Solaro gives a panoramic view of the whole island. See also Axel Munthe’s gorgeous sanctuary with yet more spectacular views of the bay. Back to the villa! Because you’ll do much walking, return home around 15:00 for your own private swim in the pool’s cool waters. Savor this lovely dwelling and its gardens! The dreamy day bed awaits a shady nap that invigorates for the evening. Be sure to stock up on libations – it’s a perfect place to enjoy a gin and tonic! Another wonderful feature? The out-building shower under the shade of a fig tree. If you’d like a meal out, walk a short distance through the neighborhood streets to Giorgios Restaurante, where the finest seafood await you, complete with sunset!! The villa is beautifully clean, spacious, quiet and perfect for a couple or small family. It smells wonderful – we would love to capture THIS Capri smell and sell it as a perfume! The kitchen is small but complete with all you’ll need to create some scrumptious meals. Ettore left a basket of staples--fresh tomatoes, onions, lemons, garlic and basil; together with some fresh crusty bread and pasta we had memorable first meal. Come prepared with your favorite red or white wine! The lighted glass bottles around the property keep a nice glow all night long. Grazie Ettore for sharing it with us

La maison plus modeste est perdue dans un immense jardin aménagé pour se poser dans différents espaces en fonction de l'heure et de la recherche de soleil ou d'ombre. Ettore réserve un bel accueil et reste disponible en cas de difficulté; Les produits de 1ère nécessité sont à disposition dès l'arrivée, ce qui est appréciable!

This little villa had everything we were looking for, a private spot close enough to town that we could walk for drinks or meals, but far enough way that we had quiet. Set on a large lot amongst small (some very small) roads we found the spot to be perfect for us. There is some steep terrain below the house walking to the Blue Grotto, but nothing dangerous, just about 230 steps and small paths. If you enjoy hiking, this will be nothing. Walking to town is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your speed; a few steeper streets, but again not a big deal. Took us a day to get our bearings and then we had the layout of the town down. There is a great market about 400m up the hill from the villa where you can buy just about anything you need. Ettore was overly generous with his time helping us understand how to get around and the sights to see. Wish we were here in the late spring or summer, but still had a great time.

Great property with a super house that is above the Blue Grotto. We had a great walk down to the Blue Grotto. There is a bus stop and market close by. Center of town is about 10 min walk away. The owner Ettore was the perfect host and provided us everything upon checking in. Excellent wifi service and the outdoor space was huge with plenty of little spaces to find alone time for a book and also plenty of space for an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday. Wonderful wonderful place.

My husband, myself and our 14 year old son spent a fabulous 5 nights at this gorgeous villa in Anacapri at the start of July. Ettore, is the most charming and generous host with a wealth of helpful suggestions from boat hire, suggested day trips, taxi drivers, where to buy our groceries and where to eat - don't miss 'Cucciola' just down the hill, fabulous food and views to die for! He was extremely helpful and kind and is justifiably proud of the villa which has been his family's holiday home since he was a young boy. The setting is fantastic with expansive gardens and that fabulous pool. It's quiet at night yet only a 10 minute bus ride up the hill to the very charming and bustling town of Anacapri. The villa itself is small compared to its setting but has everything you could need as well as bucketloads of character. Ettore being aware that we had had a long and tiring trip from Rome was incredibly thoughtful and had filled the fridge with everything we could possibly want to make a meal until we had the chance to get to the shops. I had never been to Capri before so was not aware of how steep the terrain was so while you can walk everywhere bear in mind some of the paths are up or down some very steep inclines! If all else fails -or your legs can't keep up - catch the cute little local buses as they are frequent and you are bound to have some interaction with the very friendly locals. Make some time to swim into the Grotta Azzura it's a truly amazing and memorable experience. A local waiter alerted us to the fact that you can swim in before 6am or after 6pm when the row boats are not plying their trade of rowing tourists in and out and so we walked down the 300 or so incredibly steep, windy steps early one evening and plunged in. It's breathtakingly blue just as everyone describes it. We spent a month in total in Italy and our time spent in Anacapri was definitely a highlight. Thank you so much Ettore for making our stay so memorable we hope to have the opportunity to come back again one day.

After some trouble locating the villa because of it's tucked away location we were very glad to meet our gracious host who had taken such great care to provide all that we could need to make our stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. The cottage is surrounded by a dappled cicada-thronged garden of oak, olive and fig trees with sunny well appointed corners and comfy seats and tables. We loved the day-bed for lazy afternoons reading books and dozing, and ate our meals out in the dining gazebos. Brilliant to have a garden wc & shower-room too! The pool was a perfect cool-down after the extreme heat of that particular summer, and the children spent almost every waking hour in it! Inside we enjoyed the rustic Italian styling, with a cute little kitchen, and all the useful things we might need during our stay. The main bedroom was very comfortable and spacious and the second bedroom was well appointed but a little cramped for our two bickering children so we made up the sofa-bed in the living room to keep the peace. We weren't prepared for the biting insects too, so pack the Jungle Formula when you visit! The delightful little town of Anacapri is only a ten minute (STEEP) walk away. There are lovely shops, galleries, attractions and bars, and it is sleepier and more understated than flashy Capri which is only a short bus ride away, and worth a visit just to see all the elegant mediterranean bling! A highlight for me was to wake early and walk down the steep rocky path to the Grotto Azzuro for a swim at the bathing platform there. And you simply must not miss the drama of hiring a little rowing boat to take you into the breathtaking grotto itself. We can't wait to return!

On se retrouve dans un endroit très calme sur une île magnifique. Anacapri est un village typique. Le jardin est très joliment aménagé et avec beaucoup de goût. La villa est très bien équipée. A noter l'accueil du propriétaire qui se met à notre disposition pour faire que notre séjour se passe au mieux. Très belle destination. A recommander. Pour visiter l'ile : chaussures de marche, bus ou scooter.

Abbiamo passato una settimana davvero speciale in questa bellissima casa, un piccolo angolo di paradiso tra ulivi e fiori. Il proprietario gentilissimo e molto ospitale ci ha accolto meravigliosamente e ci ha fornito informazioni pratiche e ottimi suggerimenti! Abbiamo approfittato di tutto quel che l'isola offre , splendido mare, passeggiate, visite ...Tutta la famiglia e' stata felicissima! Compresi i bimbi che spaziavano tra piscina e giardino! Leider ist die Zeit zu schnell verflogen!!… Sehr gern wären wir noch länger geblieben um diese himmlische und fast paradiesische Ruhe auf uns wirken zu lassen. Schade dass es nur ein paar Tage frei war.. Kann mir gut vorstellen, dass wenn man dieses wunderschöne Fleckchen einmal findet, es nie mehr hergeben möchte… Wir werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Solche Kulissen kennt man eigentlich nur aus Märchenbüchern… doch hier auf Capri ist unser persönliches Märchen war geworden! Wer auf der Suche nach Entspannung ist, seinen Kindern trotzdem viel Platz bieten möchte, aber auch auf ein schönes Ambiente nicht verzichten möchte ist hier genau richtig. Ein mit viel Liebe und eben soviel gutem Geschmack ist diese kleine Villa bis ins kleinste Detail eingerichtet.Eine Einladung zum träumen!.. Es ist alles sehr sauber und gepflegt, sodass man sich einfach sofort wohlfühlt. Der kleine Pool bietet die nötige Erfrischung zwischendurch… Das gesamte Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und unheimlich weitläufig.. Sonne oder Schatten, beides ist gegeben. Es fehlt einfach an nichts. Und selbst wenn man Fragen hat, kann man auf den Besitzer zugehen, oder immer telefonisch erreichen. Er ist sehr nett und absolut hilfsbereit. Ich freue mich schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch, denn diese Insel ist einfach traumhaft schön…

Splendida vacanza. La villa, sembra uscita da una fiaba dei fratelli Grimm, davvero molto particolare, ha un giardino che è come un bosco, ci si sveglia al canto degli uccellini, sembra fuori dal tempo. La casa ha tutti i comfort ed è vicina al mare ed al centro. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è eccezionale e il proprietario è una persona gentile e disponibile. Molto comoda la possibilità di ordinare la spesa al telefono con consegna a domicilio. Siamo stati bene in pieno relax, (finalmente!), ed i bambini con la piscina, si sono divertiti molto. La consigliamo a tutti.
