We stayed In the large shared space, which is broken up a little so there was more space than we expected and less people than we thought in just one section. No air con, but with the sea breeze and fans it was fine to sleep in.

Wifi did not reach 90% of the 3rd floor so you had to go downstairs to use it mostly.

As a solo traveller, I felt like most of the other travels were groups, families or couples, but that's not the fault of the hostel

Attitude, they don’t let you take a shower after checkout (it is a beach, you are getting full of sand on your body). Also you can’t use the kitchen after checkout. They don’t accept payment with card. WiFi is not working most of the parts. Kept asking for my name to checkout properly and they made me wait for a few times even if I was trying to explain I checked out.

I didn’t see the point of staying on that beach. It’s impossible to get cash or pay by card anywhere so it was really inconvenient. The place has no real interest. The beach isn’t even nice.

The hostel is good, but I think it's overestimated and overpriced. My bunk bed was right in front of the toilet door and I bumped into it every time I had to get off the ladder. There was no socket next to my bed and nothing to lay my phone or bottle on. At the moment there's some mantainance work and there was a sound of leaking water all night long. WiFi didn't work in the dorm or on the beach. I think all the other beds were fine and didn't have such problems, but as the hostel is quite expensive I'd recommend having one bed less in the dorm and assure the same service to everyone . I don't think it was really worth the money.

The view from the big shared dorm is incredible. Family atmosphere with group cooking is lovely. Local restaurant with Junior next door is also very lovely.

Only one of the beds we booked in the big main dorm was in the space with the amazing view sadly. So we switched around during our stay. When not with the amazing view it got extremely hot as there was no wind.

The location was extremely noisy. The neighbours across the road played tunes night & day to the pitch of distortion

The hotel asked us to transfer a deposit of $100,000 pesos, which we did ( 2 weeks in advance)& provided all the bank details. When we arrived they claimed it had not been received & tried to scam more money. The harassment continued the whole day & the next. During this awful ordeal I suggested we settle the matter with the police. Only then did the harassment slow down. We have traveled Colombia for a month & this is by far the worst accom we have stayed in .Be wary….,,,

An open dorm with 10 m from the Carribean sea, beautiful. The outside area is nice to chill, the hostel is literally right on the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and allows for pretty decent cooking.

To me this felt a bit like one of those places where you are not really a welcome guest but more like a paying customer. Didn't really feel that staff was very attentive to your needs. I had read before that in the big dorm, there are some beds with missing and broken lockers, so was just hoping I luck out. I didn't locked couldn't be locked. Went back down to ask for support with this, and the guy at the front desk just grinned and said "Ahh, don't worry, nothing happens here". I have worked and stayed in hostels long enough to know that is not true and beyond anyone's control. When I insisted I don't want to leave laptop and other valuables unlocked in an open 12 people dorm, he said okay, I'll check in a bit. I came back 3 more times that day to ask if he could take care of this, and he kept saying "Yes, I was so busy, I'll do it in just a bit". Should mention at this point that for most of the afternoon, he was just chilling on his phone watching videos.

Nothing beats waking up on the beach! Wi-fi was accessible in the lobby area and the staff did a great job of keeping the entire area clean. The beach was always raked and the beds were made for guests each morning.

If you plan on ordering food from the hostel leave yourself a lot of time for the meal as it takes a while to place an order.

Unfortunately quite expensive for the provided amnesties. Shower door was broken, so that we had to lift it up to open and close the door. Very tiny window for fresh air. Not enough toilet paper so that we had to ask a few times for more. Air-conditioning gets automatically disabled from 9am to around 7 or 8 pm.

Great hostel, I stayed in the dorm at the top which is beautiful. Very spacious and I loved that you can wake up to a huge view of the sea and beach. Hostel is right on the beach, staff were really friendly. Also the best thing was hearing the waves at night as you fall asleep. I would definitely recommend.

I chose this place to have one of the single bed in the dorm, as in the picture. I didnt want to have to climb anything, and have some space. But there is also 2 bunk bed in the back of the dorm and they gave me the top bed of one of them : no space for personnal stuff, no electrical plug, the mosquito net had holes and didnt fit the bed, the bunk bed moves any time the other person moves... The team does not make much effort to be understood by non-spanish speakers

The stuff is really nice. Douglas helped us with everything, arranged our trip to the islands. The beds are comfortable and the chilled area on the beach is so nice!

The receptionists were only interested in selling tours to you. Either you're a wandering wallet, otherwise they're unfriendly. Also i asked the receptionist to call a motorbike taxi to San Onofre bus station as i thought it's maybe safer than catching one on the street if i want to arrive where i want. NOPE, The motorbike guy left me at some random spot where people told me there is no bus (there are plenty of busses) and they just put my stuff into a car and told me to go with the car.. I paid more than the bus and was shaking for four hours as the car stopped everywhere to pick up stuff or whatever and i had no security at all where the hell they're gonna leave me. They force a woman traveling alone to go inside a car if a stranger. Horror. Don't want this to happen to anyone! Either they organize proper non-rip-off transport or this place is just not worth it. Beach is random and also there's no proper restaurant with prices, the only restaurants with prices are french-owned places, the others are gonna rip you off and the french just rip off everyone as the prices are way higher than in apparently "pricey" cartagena. Im just so relieved to not be there anymore!!! And thankful to god i survived this weird car.
