We really enjoyed the time here and would recommend it!

This was a trip of unrelated adults for the benefit of the children, siblings and cousins that live far apart. The kids 16-1 yr had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful time with plenty of room for our family of 13 adults and 4 toddlers. Loved sitting on the back deck in the evenings. Shannon and Jeff weren’t kidding about the steep driveway and long walk down to the dock - made a good workout! The area was great and being very close to the marina came in handy. We had a wonderful weekend enjoying family time. The set up of the house was perfect for our large group. We were able to spread out!

Home was set up with everything needed for a nice stay. The communication with the owner was terrific. Very accommodating. Would recommend.

The house has nice spaces to gather. We ate our evening meal outside on the upper deck. Beautiful view. We were gone during the day working with Habitat for Humanity so the evenings were a time to relax. We were warned about the steep driveway. Our bus barely fit the parking space, but nothing bad happened.

The kids loved going down to the "lake" (technically a river inlet) and having campfires. The number of rooms and beds were great. We have a lot of single people in the family so a few queen beds won't cut it for our group. This house had plenty of beds. The kids even switched beds each night to try them all. Definitely a place we'll consider for future reunions.

Home was more than adequate for our family Christmas vacation. They even decorated for us. Beautiful Place. Thanks for sharing your place.

Overall, excellent stay. The home had everything we needed for the weekend. Clean, plenty of room and the host communicated with me timely.

This property had it all!!! Could stay there for a week and still not do everything that the host had to offer.

Was as described. Hosts responded to inquiries immediately and were very generous with supplies at the house. Everything imaginable in the kitchen and the grill was huge The decks with big fans an shade were great! 13 of us had plenty of room an the guys enjoyed the game room

There were some issues with the basement when we arrived. Shannon and Jeff did pretty much everything they could to make it right. They were easy to get in touch with and tried very hard to fix the issues. In the end, it met our needs, we just needed to move some beds from the basement to the upstairs. and avoided the basement as much as possible. Hopefuly this was a one time issue. I have confidence that they will do what they need to do to resolve the issue. The location was good. Plenty of beds. Tons of room to spread out and socialize. FYI, when they say the driveway is steep, they really mean it. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels, etc. Overall, it was a good stay.

Lots of beds and fun games. As advertised steep driveway. Very steep, hard for us seniors that stayed to walk down or up. We had several cars and could fit two in driveway. Outside patio's were not cleaned at all. Dishwasher was broken, hard for us seniors washing dishes. We were there for reunion at Lake barkley, was much further than expected according to listing. 15 minute drive, not bad, but both ways if we needed to run back was disappointed. House was clean inside, but you are near woods so bugs were around.

Great for a large family get together!! Beautiful view from both porches and the dock. Quiet, peaceful and had everything we needed to cook big family meals!

This was a wonderful location between Kansas City, MO and Columbus, OH for a joint bridal shower and bachelorette party for family and friends. Drive way is scary but doable 🥴

This house is large enough for our large family to celebrate a late Christmas. With 7 bedrooms everybody gets a bed! The house is clean and has everything you need for a long weekend except food! The view of the lake is beautiful. Thinking of maybe coming again when the weather is warmer.

After loosing a brother in a horrific act this past September the family needed time alone to heal and also my parents 50th weeding anniversary weekend to celebrate this was the perfect location and they all want to return next year to do it again thank you

We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time! The kitchen was very well stocked which made cooking a breeze! The immense porch was so much fun to sit out on! The toys, videos, video game console made for a lot of fun for the kids! Beds we used were very comfortable, pillows could stand an update but I'm a picky pillow person. We went out boating on the lake several times. The house was very spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stayEXCEPT the marina! Our pontoon rental did not run well plus they insisted that we return it even though we were in the midst of a torrential downpour and electrical storm! We were told we would be charged another day even though GPS would clearly confirm the boat was parked at our dock.

We had a great trip! The house was big enough for 8 adults and 7 children (ages 8 and under). The game room downstairs was perfect for the kids to play. The dock had enough access to swim off of. We would book this place again!

We had 4 couples and 8 kiddos, ranging from 1-11 years old and there was plenty of room for each couple to have their own room and the kids loved bunking together and there were even empty beds after that. The dock is a perfect spot to swim and we enjoyed the kayaks as well. The basement was the perfect hangout spot and the pool table/ping pong table was a hit! The porches were utilized throughout the day and was a great place to dine and relax. To anyone stating the place needs updates, I don't understand, it is a lake house and I couldn't have decorated it better myself. It fit our needs and more. We would highly recommend this place to others and we are looking forward to coming back.

We had 11 adults (some were teenagers but adults sized) and 2 kiddos under 10. There were plenty of beds with some not being used. We brought our jet skis and the lake was perfect, we almost had the entire cove to ourselves this week. The house had everything we needed for fixing meals and was cozy. As in previous reviews the drive was is extremely steep. The stairs to the lake are also steep but manageable, our 70 year old mother made the trip down and back fine with help. They could use some TLC though. If you have a large party that wants to hang out down at the dock and swim I suggest bringing lawn chairs as there are no lawn chairs available for use. There are plastic chairs behind the fire pit but definitely need to be cleaned. The house is very cute and so is the decor, but the cleanliness of the house is the only only reason for the decrease in stars. I understand that there are going to be bugs because it is a wooded lot, but there were dead bugs everywhere in the house . The only other complaint was that the light switches in two bedrooms in the basement did not work. Easy check in and out process and quick responses From the owners.

Great location on the lake, The main level was nice & clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of bedrooms, clean but dated. The back porch was very nice, we all hung out there a lot, but could have definitely used a good cleaning. Disappointed in the grill, it was nasty dirty & took us forever to get it to lite & only one small portion worked. We enjoyed playing ping pong & video games in the basement, however it was a little musty smelling. Overall we had a great time.
