The nature

Beautifully located hostel on the country side of Moyogalpa with lots of space to hangout, especially the balcony offers (on sunny days) an amazing view of volcan concepcion. The host was really helpful in terms of organizing our motor bike rental and the volcano hike (which we really recommend doing!) as well as our transport options for the onward travels. The dogs and cat are cute!

Because of the location outside the village there are a lot of mosquitoes so be sure to bring some bug spray - even though we got plenty of bites we ended up extending our stay bc we really enjoyed the time there!

José was a great host and did everything he could to make sure we had a good time on Ometepe. Many places organise tours and provide advice but José goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need and are taken care of. I have stayed in hostels all over the world but not one where the host made such an impression on me. Highly recommended for this alone.

- Jose is the most friendly owner we meet since 5 months of traveling. Jose, Margareta and his animals are adorable. The ambiance is friendly, welcoming and relax. - Room and main area really confortable, spacious and well made. - Really good WiFi. - Room get clean each day and was super clean when we arrived. - The location is really good to discover the island. Plus only 15 min from the ferry and Pali supermarket by foot. - Possibility to rent scooter for 18$ per day and to organize volcano tour. we liked it a lot. - Drinking water, coffee and fresh fruits from garden provided. - Amazing view from the hotel on the volcano. Perfect place to work, relax and visit the island. Merci Jose for everything !

the reason El Peregrino has such a high raising is Jose. As soon as we arrived he went out of his way to make us feel extremely welcome & do anything he could to help us maximise our time on the Island. Thank you for looking after us Jose!

You can book breakfast and it's tasty and a lot Host really supports you, you can book the conception hike and motorcycles there Chilled atmosphere with hammocks, pool table and yoga mats

The host only spoke Spanish It's very open so there are lots of animals but you can see it at the pictures so you know what you get It's a bit outside of Moyogalpa

In Myogalpa, not far from the center (15 min walk) but in a great quiet place with the best view on conception. Arty vibes and the big map on the wall All the Good tips from José, always available and helpful everything was super clean and washed every day!

Large comfortable room, very comfortable outdoor relaxing area, large well stocked kitchen and the owner was extremely helpful and friendly, short walk into town, highly recommend

Amazing place to stay, awesome location with the best views of the volcano! The rooms are big and clean with a massive well equiped kitchen. The owner is absolutely lovely, Nothing is too much trouble. They made us a massive breakfast the first morning and organised scooter rental and tuk tuks. Really lovely place with lots of space to relax Best place to stay on the island 😊

José the Owen was really helpful! Went above and beyond to help us get around. Location was a 20 minute walk into the town which is doable in the fay but we were advised as females not to do at night.

Got bitten loads despite wearing mosquito repellent. There is no air con, like most places on Nicaragua singers very hot

Close to the ferry and the city, big rooms, comfortable and Jose is great, helped us with anything.

We loved the location. Upstairs is a lot of space for an workout, to eat or to chill with a great view. The garden looks great with oranges and other fruits. They have 2 cute dogs and a cat. In the kitchen you can find everything you need.

It's a longer way to walk there from the harbour if you don't want to take a taxi. The owner speaks no english.

we loved our stay at El Peregrino! the host answered all our questions, helped us hire scooter, cleaning was done daily, it was very relaxed atmosphere!

José is a really great host that I can only recommend. His place is a 15 minute walk away from the center of Moyogalpa, very quiet, no party hostel. Kitchen can be used, room was spacious and quiet, with mosquito nets. A great place to explore this part of Ometepe and e.g. hike the volcano Concepción.

After sundown as a solo Traveller I preferred to take a moto taxi back to the property, the walk is quite dark.

Location was great, close enough to town to walk to shop or a meal, but far enough away for peace and quiet. 15 min walk....from Port and Myogalpa town. Easy to hire scooter from El Peregrino...was delivered and collected from the door. Best room in 3 months travel...spotless clean, big room with space for clothes, hooks, towel rails and hangers, huge bathroom and shower. Gardens and surroundings beautiful with plenty of wildlife. The Owner will do anything to help you, has great advice and is very laid back....it's a cool chilled place! Has kitchen, cooker, fresh water for free, fridges, pool table, TV, a puppy a kitten a dog !! Perfect place to spend a week exploring the island. Do visit Cafe Campestre for amazing smoothies and great food Fabulous workout space upstairs looking out to the volcano!!! Paradise
