Quiet Cozy Cottage on Keuka Lake Wine Trail

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was very clean. It was stocked with every cookware you could need. It was a nice, quiet neighborhood. The lake was absolutely beautiful. Our host was more than accommodating and quick to answer any questions. I will recommend this place over and over!!!!!!!

The place was perfect for what we wanted for our vacation. The size worked well for the two of us, it was lake-side with very easy access to the lake, and it was not located right on the highway. The lake had crystal clear water and successful fishing. The sunsets were spectacular.
We used the rowboat several times. The rowboat could be improved with properly functioning oarlocks and wooden oars. The rubber handles on the current oars required gloves to use them.
We were very happy with our choice to stay here. It was centrally located near everything we wanted to do.

We had really nice time! Location is great, but water still was cold for swimming. We have to go back again later in the summer to enjoy swimming. But kayaking, boating and fishing were great 😊 We definitely will go back again.

We were a group of 60ish girlfriends. We had a great time catching up around the campfire. Lovely lake access and views. A little weird relaxing while the hosts and their kids worked on outdoor projects around us.

This property is beautiful! The lake views were great and it's a nice quiet property. My 3 kids had a great time on the playground in the property as well as the beach. The waters a great depth for little ones! They wished the fish were biting better though. I also didn't realize there was no ac in the bedrooms but fortunately it was a cool week. We truly enjoyed all of the little mom and pop eateries in the area and were amazed to find so many gluten free options for my celiac daughter! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful Location for a quick visit for a friend's wedding. Wish we had more time at the VRBO and in the area because there was so much to explore. The lakefront is definitely worth it and if we were there longer I would have absolutely had a fire in the fire pit. Dieder was a fantastic host with a great sense of humor.
Cons: the mattress on the pullout is old and I'd recommend (if staying a long time) you bring a foam pad or mattress pad. Also, minute issue, but I wish I had known to bring a sponge and dish soap so we could have properly cleaned dishes a little better!

Great lakeside location on crystal clear part of Keuka Lake
Excellent location with large dock with crystal clear water on Keuka Lake. Very clean home with large family room and large back porch. AC included for warmer days. Great for families and also very close to the town of Penn Yann which has plenty of retail and dining options.

Great place for a short stay
We only stayed here for a couple of nights and it suited our needs. It was clean, but did have a musty smell when we came in. The owner was very responsive. We had a problem with the heat and hot water and he answered our questions immediately. He explained a few things and we got the heat going as well as the hot water.
The bedrooms were rather small so I don't think I could stay here with too many adults. The bunk room beds were short so our son who is 6'4" slept on the couch in the Living Room. The mattresses on the bunk bed are very thin as well. In the Queen room there was little room to maneuver around. We felt very cramped, but was doable for a couple of nights. There just isn't much space to put things (suitcases and bags)
We wished we could have taken more advantage of the lake and the covered back porch, but the weather wasn't the greatest. There kitchen wasn't really equipped for many people. There was limited amount of dishes, cups, silverware etc. If you had the max amount of people you wouldn't have enough.
I believe this place would be fine for a family of 4! The scenery and location are perfect!

Wonderful Family Vacation!!
I cannot begin to say how great this vacation home was for my family and I! My wife and I were looking for a cozy waterfront home for our 3 young sons (8,6,4) to swim, fish, explore…and this more than exceeded our expectations! The property was clean, the water was crystal clear and the dock was great for fishing (we caught fish every evening)! We even enjoyed a nice campfire by the lake. It was Close to Penn Tan’s commercial district, close to hiking trails, it’s a perfect place to have a home base for a Keuka vacation! The Host was an excellent communicator as well! We plan on a return trip in 2022!

Very enjoyable vacation
Property owners were onsite at checkin to welcome my family. They kept in communication and answered any questions from booking to checkin and during stay. The property was very clean and accommodating. The lake was only five or six steps and an 80’ dock extending into the lake which was great for the kids. The kids were able to swim while we safely watched them from the covered deck. The most beautiful part was the glass door and windows onto the deck looking over the lake. Another huge bonus was a short 5 minute drive into Pen Yan for supplies. Already planning a spring return trip.

Delightful Lake House
We have spent more than 40 summers at Keuka lake and this lake house is an ideal setting for a family vacation. We enjoyed our time at this property immensely and plan on returning next and in future years. The lake outside the house is clear of seaweed and extremely clear with a great view. I docked my boat outside the house with ease and will bring it again. For us this is a family yearly vacation with as much waterskiing as possible and this is the perfect location for that! Also Keuka Springs is within walking distance which is a huge bonus. Also the property is wooded from the road and away from traffic. The woods and brush is a beautiful environment for all sorts of native species including deer, woodpeckers, oriels and even Cedar waxwings! We enjoyed every minute of our time there.

The Beck’s were gracious and helpful hosts! The property was clean and comfortable. We loved the covered deck and waterfront chairs. The property was roomy and relaxing. I would highly recommend the property and hope to return!

Great quick family getaway
My family and I had a great stay at this cottage. The location was phenomenal. The dock and use of the canoe were so much fun. The water was clear, a bit cold being early June but, it did not stop us. We got the floating dock out as well and took some jumps off. The fire pit and Adirondack chairs are great for the evening and s'mores. The Becks are super friendly, helpful, and the Kids loved playing with the dog and the swingset. A perfect quick family retreat!

Rare Gem
We didn’t want to leave. The location of the place is phenomenal. We were very comfortable inside the home and had all amenities that we needed. Dieder’s family was very warm and welcoming and we enjoyed talking with them. Host was also very quick to respond. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice cozy stay
The cottage is nicely located on the North end of Keuka lake near Penn Yan. It's a great location and close to the boat launch, the grocery store, wineries, etc. Dieder was wonderful and quick to respond to inquiries related to the cottage, which offered all the necessities needed for our stay. The beach with fire pit is nice too. Our party consisted of 4 women (mid 40s) who enjoy visiting new locations for "girl's weekend". We really enjoyed our stay, however, the twin mattresses are essentially camping mattresses, with a vinyl covering. I found it very uncomfortable. It's possible that children may not find them unbearable, however, for me, a good nights sleep is necessary when traveling. Other than the bed issue, we would certainly stay again in the future. Thanks for your hospitality!

The cottage was exactly as advertised - a great place to be able to enjoy the peaceful area, the water and the close proximity to town. Everything that is needed for a quiet and restful stay. Beautiful sunsets. Owner was easy to contact, family was friendly and yet allowed privacy. Would definitely stay here again.

Girls vacation week
Our annual "Girls Vacation Week" found us staying very close to home this year due to COVID. This property was an excellent place for that week. From the beginning at booking through the end at locking up, this property and owners were just absolutly amazing. Just bring with you, your bedding & bathroom supplies. Tops grocery store is very close for all of your food needs. Penn Yan also has a couple liquor stores. We spent Tuesday & Wednesday touring the wineries around Keuka Lake & Thursday fishing off the 80 foot dock & enjoying our purchased wine. At night, us girls enjoyed fires on the beach & listening to the Loons calling to eachother and beautiful sunsets as the cottage faces west. Renting this property will not disappoint you at any time. We look forward to booking this beautiful cottage again.

Keuka lake stay.
Great place to stay. No issues, problems or complaints. Deck overlooks the lake which is 25 feet away if that. Private driveway with one other house. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Ten minutes to Seneca lake, winery across the street, 5 minutes to Penn Yan. 20 minutes to Hammondsport and 2 miles to Oak Hill Cafe (best bakery around). Perfect location.

Great Getaway
Wonderful property, great place to unwind! Homeowners were very communicative and I did not have any questions that were not answered up front. The only thing we forgot was hand/dish towels but we improvised!

Sister Trip 2020
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this property. The owner was very accommodating, puppy snuggles and all! The lake view is beautiful. Relaxing next to the fire and listening to the lake was just what we needed.

Great value on Keuka Lake
My family and I had a great stay here. The location is perfect- close to Penn Yan, but secluded away from the highway that connects the property to the village. The outside spaces were great for enjoying the lake, and my kids really enjoyed the new swing set and slide on the property. Meals on the deck and watching the sunsets were highpoints of the stay. The bedrooms are on the smaller side, but fit our family of 4 without a problem (as we spent most of our time outside).
